Once upon a time a long, long time ago...

A crazy old creeper inventor lived in a creaky old house at the very end of Madcap Lane. His eyes were bloodshot and his frizzy grey hair stood up on his head like it had electricity running through it. He'd been up all night, experimenting, inventing, and creating machines only he believe possible. His failed attempts were scattered across the floor like lifeless rats. One day when he was tinkering with his robots, one of his inventions actually succeeded. A trill of triumph erupted from his frail body. "Yes!" His gruff voice said. Quickly rushing about he searched for the nearest outlet. He hooked up the machine, cackling as he did so. Voltage charged through his entire body and his eyes illuminated with immense power from the electricity. Screaming at the agonizing pain he looked quickly to the machine he has created. All the pain and shocks were gone as he gaped at a giant spacecraft. "I've done it!" He hollered boldly. He created a machine that could take you throughout the depths of space – to different universes of all kinds. He named this machine, Multiverse. Yelling in joy, he galloped to the city, to submit his work to the media. He did make it in the Sunday newspaper, but they portrayed him as a fool, making a mockery of him and all that he's accomplished. His spirit deflated until he had nothing to live for anymore – he gave up his work and left his home, in hope that somebody, one day would discover it and make better use of it than he did.

Centuries later…

A young, bizarre 15-year-old girl was strolling along her town, just trying to find a place where she belongs. She came across a crossroad of two streets – the sign on the right of her read, "Happy Drive" and the sign on the left read,Madcap Lane. She didn't stop to ponder and immediately began her journey on Madcap Lane. As soon as she was on the street, she could feel something was different. Pretty soon she reached the dead end of the road, dead smack in front of an old, shabby house. She was a very curious child and so she wandered inside, finding a large spaceship in the middle of the house with crumpled paperwork and rusty old machinery all around the room. The girl walked up to the spaceship and ran her hand across it, her eyes aglow with amazement of the object. A switch was triggered from her hand and the machine slowly roared to life, with its bright lights shining, its rays filling up the whole space. She shielded her eyes and unfolded a piece of paper, explaining the wonders of this machine. Realizing what she could do with this spaceship, she sought out a group of people who would love this opportunity as much as she did. Thus, she created this very guild called Multiverse.

Hello, and welcome to the machine! This page's main purpose it to show you what our guild is all about – and the possibilities there are for you to discover. ;) This Multiverse Machine, along with its gorgeous members, explores space and travels through universes quite often. At each universe we visit, there are plenty of activities for us to enjoy and a new guild layout relating to the universe – in order to honor of our current universe hosts and basically fit in with them. ;D Participation is completely optional, though we do encourage you to take part in the fun! THE WHOLE SHABANG ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪

The Multiverse Machine is a huge part of Multiverse and its themes. (: Basically, our guild's theme depends on the universe we're currently exploring. For example: if we're visiting a "candy" themed universe, we'd have a candy-themed guild layout, activites, and so forth. Members can participate in the universe by playing with the activities provided, fueling the ship, and doing whatever the captain requests. :P Who is the captain, you ask? Better question, who isn't the captain? The members themselves are the captains of the ship – though we can only have one per voyage. To learn more about both captains and fueling the ship, please read on. In return for participation, every involved member will receive a special guild avatar to add to their collection of avatars, which starts day one of their Multiverse experience. :D To find more about avatars, click here. As I said, it's not required to participate if you really aren't interested, it's just another way of being an active member. ;) Once you're reading the entire page, if you still have questions, feel feel free to neomail one of the owners. ;D

No ship can board without a captain. To keep it fair, we alternate captains in Multiverse. Every captain is in charge of one universe. Their responsibility as a captain includes making a page for their world, writing the content, helping the members participate in activities, and generally leading the whole adventure. To sign up to be a captain, you must fit these requirements:

1. You must have been in the guild for at least two weeks.
2. You must have posted at LEAST 50 messages, or 4 for every day you have been in the guild.
3. You must have at least a basic knowledge of HTML/CSS.
4. You must have enough time and dedication to complete the project- if you abandon your post immediately before or during your journey, you will not get another chance!

THE PROCESS ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪ ▪

Every machine needs fuel to run! Instead of using yucky gas or electricity, Multiverse runs off of the good ol' fashioned Jelly Belly jellybeans. You can find these jellybeans on every universe we visit. It's up to you, the members, to capture them to fuel our ship. You can do this by participating in the universe activities, posting at the guild boards, recruiting new members to the ship, and generally being an active member. Seeing the correlation now, eh? ;) You need a certain amount of jellybeans before we can move on to the next universe, so check often to see how many more are needed. :D If you've done something you think you should be awarded jellybeans for, please don't hesitate to neomail on of the owners! :)

One of the many perks of traveling with us is being awarded with avatars. They're basically little trophies that you can showcase on your userlookup, petpages, and your very own personalized Multiverse passport. ;) You can get these avatars in various ways – completing an activity, gaining a rank, posting, or visiting a universe. We ask that you do not cheat!!! This is a game, and we'd appreciate it if once you have found an avatar you do not ruin the solution for others. Please check below for current and past avatars.
