Aricado Alamo is a german-manufactured killing machine. He is hired out to perform hits on people, gaining money through however many he is successful with. Lately he had a run in with a mysterious outsider and he has gone AWOL. He is a mix between snake, man, and machine. He speaks German and spotty English and grew up in Berlin. Blended with a rattle-snake's genetics he is cold-blooded, can detach his joints easily, prefers poison, and has a forked tongue. He is equipped with a mechanical eye to aid in his kills.

London Laurlae is the one the Agency has sent to recapture and terminate Ari. She grew up in Amsterdam and speaks English and Dutch to near perfection. She is cold and seductive, highly dangerous. Her whole life she has spent under the shadow of Aricado and is determined to show him who is really top agent. She is mixed with an spotted owl and has a mechanical arm. Laurlae will stop at nothing to get Aricado back.

Zokean is not related to the other two pets. He is a pirate in the form of a cowboy, raising hell and poker stakes as he passes through towns. There is a warrant out for his capture, but he proves to be so elusive that he has become something of a legend. He's also kind of an idiot and can't decide whether he wants to be an outlaw or a hero and has found - through his many different adventures and quarrels - that there isn't much of a difference.

Mirukon is an outcasted ex-political figure who was the advisor to the Emperor of Shenkuu. After a revolt against the king everyone affiliated with him was cast out for treason. Hiding, since if he was ever found and recognized he would be killed, Miru spends his days lurking along the docks telling the fortunes of tourists.
