V1. The Cullens - Basic Blue

Rating: 10/50

Mkay, this is my first ever layout used for Forbidden Fruit. Not the best thing in the world yet not the worst. This layout was created back when Forbidden Fruit was known as 'Twilight icons', ingenious, no?
Of course, for the creation of this layout, I was no Photoshop wiz (and am still not compared to some people) but I've gotta say, although my graphics and coding skills were not at it's finest, it's better than some pixely or badly done layouts I've seen before which is why I've given it a 10/50 instead of 2 :)

V2. The Cullens - Blended Blue

Rating: 25/50

Still named Twilight icons and the second site layout, I actually quite like it. The blend is pretty good and I've used a couple of brushes though sadly, I didn't know how to use gradients ):
I'd of probably spent 5 months in the graphics making business so I'm pretty impressed with it as it was the second site layout
This layout is also used as a lookup premade too, so at least the layout now has another purpose and my hard work isn't going to waste xD

V3. Kristen Stewart - Red Apple

Rating: 5/50

Ugh, I hate this layout. It's worse then the first two :o
The layout when I made it was inspired by a Kristen Stewart fan site's layout which used those pictures and had that sort of theme. Of course, the K-Stew fan site did a better job of their layout then me. However, I do kinda like the picture in the gold frame and the colour scheme is quite nice, but thats about it xD A little later on after the layout was made, I was gonna animate the gold framed photo by making it change image but sadly, when I did it, as it was saved as a GIF, the quality of it was bad.
Either way, I still find the layout blurry and badly blended...oh well Dx

V4. Broken Heart Flower - Pastel Pink

Rating: 36/50

It's simplicty is what I like most about this layout. Can you believe I got the image off of clip art on Microsoft Word?
I love the colour scheme for it, the pinks look lovely. Although there are no pictures of the cast, I do think this layout is Twilight themed as the colour and the flower are quite romantic. This layout is also good because it's different - whilst most of the time the Twilight layouts have cast pictures on it, this layout is, as I said before, diferent. I also like the way that behind the flower is the pink sort of glow, it's a very little thing on the layout but that's what I like about it (note: I did not add the pink glow, it came with the image)
There is a downside to this layout, as it is not repeating all the content is in one box and it made it quite tedious to be scrolling so much as there was a lot of content and it was also quite wide.

V5. Vanity Fair - Orange

Rating: 35/50

The Vanity Fair photoshoot which I used the images from is really cool. I tried to keep to the image's colour scheme with the oranges and dusty warm colours. My main idea for this layout was to base it on those fashion, celeb graphics sites which have the big blend and gradients. I'm not sure if it worked though...
I find there are a few too many white spaces in the blend, however I don't know what I would do to get rid of them so thats a bit of a problem.

V6. Edward & Bella - We belong together

Rating: 41/50

I like this layout. It is quite simple, but the colours are very pretty and theme well with Twilight. I also love that picture of Edward & Bella standing there, looking at each other which is why I made it the centrepiece of the layout. I like the blend in the background too because it is not quite visible enough to become too busy on the layout but visible enough for people to see and recognise the pictures. I also like there pictures I'd used because they are movie stills from Twilight.
The one problem I think I had with this layout was that I don't think it worked in all browsers and there also wasn't enough space for me to have my side column (without ruining the layout) where I could put info (vistor counter, awards, affie's form etc.)

V7. Movie Awards - Hot Pink

Rating: 28/50

This layout isn't exactly the best of FF. My main idea for it was for people to be able to go to a certain type of graphic without scrolling and all the bother but it didn't turn out great as all the people with small computer screens would have to scroll along and not be able to view the full layout which was a shame.
Though I do like the gradients, colours and brushes I used so I think I did a pretty good job on the blend

V8. Ashley Greene - Vintage

Rating: 46/50

Even today I still absolutly love this layout
My inspiration for this layout was from Eternal Lullaby as when I saw her New Moon layout I instantly thought, 'OMG, I LOVE it!'. For this layout, I themed it sort of vintage style and I love the way you clicked the enter button and then you went onto the site. I love the colours used and I think it all fits together perfectly!
Though the reason I couldn't give it a 50/50 is for the coding, sometimes it didn't work for some browsers, the layout was too big for small computer screens so the layout cut off and general little things that got annoying. If I could I would put this layout back up, but sadly as the coding won't work for everyone, I can't ):

V9. Ashley Greene - Blue

Rating: 32/50

Quite nice. I like the colours and the images all match for some reason I just don't like it as much as I used to. The two pictures of Ashley Greene on the left don't really match which is annoying and I couldn't change it too well. I had a few coding problems with it as first, though I do like the way you could click the image to neomail and visit my other page. The layout does look a bit messed up when you view it 'cus I haven't added the navigation or the other links onto the image...

V10. Edward & Bella - Midnight Apple

Rating: 38/50

This is at the point where I was trying to really make my site look like those profesional off Neo fan sites. The ones where I visit and go, 'Wow, I wish I had a site looking like that!' though I don't think I did the BEST job. I do like the header image and the reds used...really like the forbidden fruit, eh?
I also like the font I used for the title and the quote with words highlighted in red to match the title. The blue forest in the background doesn't completly match the images though and the content boxes just look like I've done a bad job on MS Paint :/

V11. Kristen Stewart - Grunge

Rating: 29/50

I got my inspiration for this on the site Starstrukk because I like the way the site's layouts are always so colourful and vibrant.
I love the texture used in the background (thanks FAIRYTALED!) and although I used a lot of colours, I think they do go with each other.
I would of wished that the image was more round instead of looking slightly bad at the edges but I love that the pictures of Kristen Stewart go well with the background.

V12. Twilight - Forbidden Fruit

Rating: 40/50

I quite like this one. I kept to a reds and oranges theme and, of course, I included the Twilight Apple seeing as the site IS called Forbidden Fruit. When it was up, I liked the nav in the grey box to the side - Something quite little but I think effective. I'm still debating whether I like the quote there or not, it looks a little blurry yet you can still see what it says...I think.
I do find the blend a little bland yet the Twilight Apple makes up for that as it is the centrepiece of the layout.

V13. Ashley Greene - Red

Rating: 49/50

Okay, I love this layout so much and I was pretty sad to see it go. This layout is probably the only one, apart from the vintage one, which I will really like for a long time.
I think that the picture of Ashley Greene is simple, but simple enough to make it look good. I guess the whole idea of the layout was less is more. If there was too much on the layout then it would just look messy and really bad. I also really like the navigation (Century Gothic is one of my favourite fonts) because it worked well with the layout and I also like that I put the welcome message into the layout.
The only problem I did have with this layout is that people with small computer screens wouldn't be able to see it's full effect as they'd have to scroll along quite a bit which is why I knocked it down a mark

Back to Forbidden Fruit? Hello, welcome to Forbidden Fruit's past layout page. On here, I have managed to find all the site layouts which have been used on FF. Some of them you may find bad others you might like...who knows? I have rated and commented on each one so feel free to read them and enjoy browsing through Forbidden Fruit's past layouts!
