Label

I am sick of every time I go out in what I like to wear I automatically get labeled a "Goth" or "punk" or a "trouble maker". Just because of what I wear so maybe I dress a little differently but that's no reason for someone to judge me who doesn't even know me! I hang out with people like me and my personality and if you labeled us you would put us under "Emo" "Scene" "Skaters" "Punk". But seriously it gets really annoying when one of my friends who is really nice and he likes to wear some Hollister and stuff like that & people come up to me and say you're a "punk" you shouldn't hang out with a "prep". I'm not a soup can people! Also it makes me mad that one of my friends was stopped by a store manger because of the way he dressed they thught he stole something in fact when he didn't! Also when people label other people without knowing one thing about them. Say there is a girl who is dressed in a pink hollister shirt and pink skirt. People will tend to label her a "prep" and think she is a snob and cares about her nails and hair, but do they know she likes AC/DC and skateboards? Or say theres this girl Dressed in all black and people will tend to label her a "goth" and think she is evil! when in fact she is the nicest person you will ever meet! What also bugs me is if someone likes a certin type of music or a certin type of show they get labeled for likeing it. Like one of my friends likes Star Trek and he gets labeled a "Nerd" but on the other hand he is a really cool person. Also what really bugs me is when people try to be something their not just so they can fit into that "label" there is nothing wrong with being yourself. What I am trying to say people is think before you judge someone and don't label them. I know labels are always going to be around but just think twice before judgeing someone.
