| For now you get to deal with the text box from my OLD OLD page with outdated information :D It'll look weird and things will seem out of place, but just work with me here! It's under heavy and much needed construction Updates:
Feb. 2, 2011: Everything is in place, more or less. Um. I might start working on a new chapter in her story. Was applying for another Ixi that will fit in, and if I get her, then that'd be awesome, but if not, I'll probably just go ahead and reincarnate the character into a new neopet to fit into this story, but I am really really hoping I get this Ixi instead *fingers crossed*. I also need to update some of the images, as some are very old, and others are broken, due to the image hosting site poofing on me X.x;; Navigation
Best Viewed in IE in F11 mode/Font is "Chaucer", you need it downloaded to see it Welcome to... Shadowed Heart His name is Mordokaie....It's hard for me to open up to people, but with him, it was so easy. He cares for me, and is kind, unlike everyone else in this world. Him and I share alot of similar qualities. He is also quite funny to be around. I don't have very many friends...but the ones I do have are good enough.
Here we have Xelas. The Water Elemental. I think...she's friends...with T_o...which...seems strange...I feel a little bad for her though. She has tons of enemies...which I'm one of them, obviously.
The legend of the elementals of Neopia is not one that is well known among normal neopets. However, to the Faeries and Villians of neopia, the legend has been taught for many years. It's no wonder that most people don't know it; almost all of the parchments that the legend was written on have long been destroyed. Only a few scrolls and books still remain in neopia. Lucky for you there is a passage from the legend that you can read below. It goes something like this...... Long ago, when Neopia had just barely come to be, there lived a very powerful faerie. She was more powerful than any of the other Neopets or faeries, so she was given the title of Queen Faerie. The Queen Faerie was a wonderful ruler, and no one questioned her athority. Until one person spoke up. Dr. Frank Sloth was the first to protest to the faeries and thier way of living. He gained a few followers and tried to battle for control of Neopia, but was soon defeated. And for a time, everything was once again peaceful. But then came others like Dr. Sloth. Each more powerful than the last. Each fighting to steal the once peaceful Neopia from the caring watch of the Faeries. And as Lord Darigan and Lord Kass began to destroy Meridell, the Queen Faerie knew something had to be done. To ensure the future safety of Neopia, the Queen Faerie and the other more powerful faeries created twelve crystals; each holding the massive power of an element. These crystals were scattered throughout Neopia in hopes that the chosen Neopets would soon find them. Whichever neopet the crystal chose would be granted the power to use that element. With these warriors, the Queen faerie felt confident that someday Neopia might be restored to it's past state of peacefulness again. Unfortunately, the truth about the elementals slipped out. Soon the word of these warriors reached the evil ones of Neopia. It wouldn't have bothered them so much if it wern't for the prophecy: The twelve who guard Neopia shall one day unite. Only then will they be able to create the true light, a light so bright that it will block out the darkness forever So it was set. Soon the elementals guardians would be awakened, and the forces of evil would be stopped. And even now, the many Villians of Neopia still wait, plotting some way to destroy the elementals, as the elementals soon shall awaken and begin the final battle against evil. Story by Sailorsky_15 There is an old legend in Neopia. A legend of 12 elemental guardians, chosen by the Faeries to receive the power of certain elements, and use these powers to protect Neopia and its inhabitants. Parents tell the tale to their children to assure them that no monsters will assail them in their sleep, young Neopets claim to have seen the Guardians take down great beasts and other such feats. It has been a part of Neopian folklore, and, for certain pets, Neopian reality, for a long time. But there is another half. Another story that is recorded in no book, passed on by no elder, spoken by no Fey creature. So quiet is this story kept, that even those involved are left completly in the dark. This is the story of the 12 who are the guardians so-called 'enemies'. The story...of the origin of 12 pets who have come to be called the Shadow Elementals. This tale dates back to the time when the Elemental Crystals were created. As the Faeries toiled away at their masterful gems, the extra, or Negative, energy released in the process formed into 12 unexpected side-effects. For each Crystal that reached completion, an accompanying stone was formed. These were often darker than their counterparts, of a harder and more jagged make, and sometimes even varied in color as well as shade. The Faeries called them the Elemental Diamonds, and knew that they were to be the opposing force to the Crystals they had made. For one thing had the Faeries, in their idealism, failed to realize. The world of Neopia is kept alive through balance. Night and day, sun and moon, white and black, peace and conflict. Opposing forces work together to form harmony. But the Fey creatures did not know this, nor did they care. Most citizens of Neopia have a fear of such things, conflict, battle, darkness, such things that led, almost inadvertently, to misery and despair. The solution? Seal the Diamonds away, allow the Crystals to be found, that way the Diamonds would never be able to oppose the Crystals. Again the Faeries underestimated their own creations. Through time, yes, the pets destined to be Elementals discovered their crystals and were told by the Faeries who guarded them what the purpose in their guardianship was..however, while eleven found their rather promptly, one took longer. This was the Darkness Crystal, hidden in the depths of the mysterious Haunted Woods to await its caretaker. This crystal, too, was eventually found. All twelve had been located, and the instant the Darkness Crystal brushed the fur of the one for whom it was destined, something happened. The Faerie Seal, which had held the Elemental Diamonds at bay deep in the recesses of Neopia, was shattered. A shudder went through the whole of Neopia, felt by all its inhabitants in every region, dismissed by most. Quickly were the Diamonds, whose pulsing lure was ever stronger from their long imprisonment, found by their destined keepers. Those drawn to the negative energy of the Diamonds, by nature, had some quality of themselves that tipped them to the more shaded side of balance, as opposed to the 'lighter' side favored by the elementals, though certain ones such as the Darkness, Earth, and Water elementals were exceptions. Does this necessarily make the Diamond keepers 'evil', or the Crystal keepers 'good'? Its a matter of perception. Some creatures, not certainly of natural Neopian descent, have decided to take advantage of the uncertainty that plagues the minds of all 24 Elemental pets. In so doing, some of the Diamond keepers have developed certain...complexes, against the Elementals. In other cases it is personal grudges and outside influences that shift the attitudes of the pets. For one more thing did the Faeries forget in their idealism. In the true balance of the world, it is the variants of thoughts, dreams, of personalities, that leads all to well in the end. Will the Shadows and the Elementals figure this out? Who knows... Story by Karis_Hoshi
Part I Humans, you need to understand my past before you can understand me. As you know, I am the Shadow Darkness Elemental. I was also under control of a dark being known only as "Master". This was before Kai found me. If I disobeyed him, he would kill me. So, I followed his every command in order to stay alive. He was the one who gave me my diamond. He taught me how to use it. A few months after, he told me of these "Elementals" and that they were the enemies. When I got there, I sensed my counterpart. But on the way, I met a Shoyru named T_o, a fellow Shadow Elemental. She was the Wind Shadow Elemental. She became my friend. After I trusted her enough, I told her of my 'curse' I called it. Later, I met up with TesianaTear. We had a long battle, and I was very naiive and unwise, for I have never battled any live creature. Only undead gremlins as practice targets. The battle was very straining for both of us. It was more of a tie then a victory. But it didn't matter. I still achieved the treasure I was after. I had gained a new attack called Black Vortex. It pulls enemies in and spits them out, and making them weaker. Master had told me to return, but I refused. Something in my heart was telling me not to go back. He was becoming angry. Later, he came after me. I tried attacking him, but had failed. He swiped at me and drained almost all my life. Frantic, I teleported and bumped into T_o. I told her about Master and how he was after me. She promised to help me.
Before we left, a Wocky by the name of Zenniliae, or Zenn, came into the room we were in. She is the Shadow Elemental of Fire. She saw us vanish down to the underworld, and left to find a Bori by the name of Desert_Force2 , who was yet another fellow Shadow Elemental, the Ice Shadow. When we arrived, I could sense T_o's fear, though she tried hard not to show it.
My diamond started humming louder and glowing brighter until it was blinding and the noise was not humming but pounding in mine and T_o's ears.
T_o was hit by Master's hand without much warning. She was hurled into the air and hit the hot ground. She slowly got back up and rubbed her head, "Is that the best you could do?" she yelled back at him. She quickley got up off the ground and ran towards him with her wings outstretched. Her head was hurting but she wouldn't let Master know that. She jumped in the air and shot overtop of his head. She charged up a powerful wind's darkness attack after ten seconds of charging, she threw it at him. T_o noticed Zenn and some other shadows. She didn't have time to fly down and say hello because she was in a tight spot. She outstretched her wings and flew with lightning speed at "master's" middle. She she created a whirlwind and went on top and inside of it. Sheilding herself from anything that might come at her. She flew into the massive shadow, when inside her sheild vanished and there was only darkness. She felt no pain but it seemed as if her happiness was being sucked out of her. She tried yelling for help but her voice didn't seem to escape from her mouth.
My ear twitched and I sensed something. I turned to look over at Master and saw him grasping a whirlwind.
Corbaine glanced at Desert through the corner of his eye before he followed Zenn torward the others. This shadowy beast dubbed 'Master' didn't seem much of a threat to him, and he leaned against a large boulder to watch. The Korbat picked his own battles, and the Master had done nothing to provoke him.
Master screamed out as a violet vortex came out of him, dissolving him. I saw T_o fall and flew to catch her. T_o was pale in color, I could see.
Master looked up at T_o and I took this chance to attack him as well. My eyes glew white and my diamond drummed loudly as I roared and threw my most powerful Poison Dark Flame attack at him as T_o's attack struck. Master collapsed and something was wrong with me. My horns grew longer and went up straight, my hooves turning into claws. Was this my demonic side, my anger and hatrid causing it to come show?
Frustrated and angry and full of hate, I put all my strength into killing Master. I thought I did, when his shadow hand grabbed me by the throat and he shot up out of the crater. Master grimaced and let go of me as I fell to the ground, gasping for breath. As soon as I got enough air, I threw a poison dark flame attack into T_o's vortex too. Master grew in size, but not from power, but from the attack. It was making him swell up like a balloon. "N-nn--nooo...I w-ww--ill ge-get you!!" Then finally he exploded being no more. I looked and then collapsed, exausted and still covered in blood. "It's over..." I whispered. I then passed out and became unconscious. The last thing I saw was T_o floating down to the ground, then darkness.
Kyora!! T_o!!" Zenn yelled sitting down beside us. "You did it!! You really did it!! Are you alright? Cause if you're hurt we're stuck here...I don't know the spell to get back to the tower..." Zenn said watching us. closely. When I was out cold, I saw Master reform in my dreams.
I woke up and immediatley shivered. "Guys! He's inside my diamond!! He's still alive!! He said he can come and go as he pleases and he is threatening to come back out!! He also told me we won't be able to leave..." We were crossing some fields, and T_o's attention was grabbed by something that she couldn't see, she stopped and stared at nothing inpaticular.
I had gone back to normal, but Corbaine and T_o hadn't noticed. I just stood there listening to their conversation. "What's going on..." I asked myself. Then I started marching forth in between them.
Corbaine stepped aside as I walked between them, and took T_o's lead. "If there's anywhere he's gone, it's where it's cold..." and spread out his own wings.
I hesitated at what T_o's response was and just took off.
T_o sensed something new blowing in the blizzard air. She looked down and looked back at Corbaine, "I'll be right back Corbaine!" she yelled over the blizzard, "I just need to check something, if I don't come back in time continue without me ok?" with that, she folded her wings and dove downward.
Mange looked away in a totally different direction. His eyes creased in consentration. I winced and gritted my teeth, and just shook my head and followed T_o.
I landed on the gound and said to Corbaine "I don't know what is wrong. My heart has been filled with all sorts of emotions I've thought I've felt but haven't. Depression, anxiety...ever since he went into my diamond. And I'm scared that he might cause me to hurt you guys. Also, what will happen when we try to get him out? I don't know if you've noticed, but I'm risking my life with this plan. He might take me with him...then I'd be under his torture for eternity."
Corbaine had followed me back to the building, landing infront of T_o. He shot her a quick smile before walking through the doorway. Carefully avoiding the broken glass and rubble, he made his way to a flight of stairs leading downward. The elevator was broken anyway. Instead of building upwards, the architecture was designed for the lab to go downwards, quite a few stories into the ground, somewhat like an upsidedown skyscraper, if you can picture it. Do you know of a 'Senn'? Well, she has died and has come here, her body soulless. I have sent minions to take her soul. When I get it, I will put Senn's soul inside her diamond and send it off to find a new host. I am still waiting though, but when this happens, I'll make sure that the new host of the Shadow-Poison Elemental is more powerful than you, and any other Shadow. Then, when it kills off the Elementals, I'll have it help me take over all of Neopia, causing a dark dawn to rise upon this world.
I just stood there, staring, as if into some blackhole. Just then, a blackhole appeared!! Shocked, I wondered what was going on. Even Master didn't know. Then, all of a sudden, a deer-like Ixi swooped in front of me.
Meanwhile, T_o nodded at Corbaine's demonstration.
Corbaine instinctively threw back his ears away from the source of the noise. Walking over as I had fallen through a weak spot on the floor and into an *tnt sensors* hole. He caught T_o's glance and returned her gaze. T_o nodded after Corbine's question, not having much to say. She couldn't help but look back towards the door. 'No doubt an elemental' T_o thought, '..can't deny it...' T_o looked at Zenn and then at the door, 'The fire element' she stared at Zenn tring to tell her something and stared at the door, to Zenn and to the door again, she hoped that Zenn could tell her eye jesters. Zenn understood and continued watch by the door. She glanced at T_o making various movements...as to whether or not she should go out and meet the elemental. Carefull Zenn." Corbaine muttered to her, watching her out of the corner of his eye. In the room I had fallen in it was quite dark, leaving me in a spotlight from the lights above. The basement floor held many silhouettes of machinery and obsolete computers. Zenn nodded..knowing that she need no warning. This was gonna be quite an experience for her. Meanwhile...Desert was having his own problems...with Master's relative.... Suddenly Desert dropped his screwdriver and clasped his head, as if attacked by a sudden headace, no, migrane. He squeezed his eyes shut and didn't dare open them. A menacing voice rang like knives in his head. You have failed me not once, but twice... The Mistress snarled, though not in a big hurry, as if enjoying the fact that her immediate presence caused her host pain. This Mistress took Desert's Ice color and left a horrible impression upon him. Desert shook as he got up, reaching for his earphone and pressing the button to turn it on. "T_o? Kyora? Whoever still has there earpeice, something very strange just happened." he said.
As I looked around, I heard someone talking. I looked and saw a headphone earpiece. "Was that in my ear, and I just didn't know it?........." I pulled myself to my feet and went over to it and used my psychic powers to pick it up. Meanwhile, Corbaine dully noted Zenn's departure and walked over to the packet of sunlight, he was sure I was capable of exiting the bottom floor on my own. He picked up the sunlight, feeling the contents mold over his paws. "Shall we get this over with?" he questioned the room. T_o nodded while watching the liquid light glow. She looked at me and the door that Zenn had left through wondering if she was ok by herself, 'probably' she thought out of no were. I flew out and onto the floor. When I saw the liquid sunlight, I shrieked. LIQUID SUNLIGHT?! BUT I HATE SUNLIGHT OF ANY SORT!!!" I put my wing over my face.
T_o stumbled towards me trying to calm me down. Mange was getting tired of the whole thing and left the crumbled building sliding out into the snow. He heard me talking to someone over my earphones, thinking that it was another shadow he could remember. He then set off through the snow, step by step, to find a tower. Corbaine smirked at my reaction. "A mere fraction of what I've been through." he commented with a soft chuckle. He walked over to the two of us and ripped open the plastic top with ease. Motioning for me to dip my diamond into the liquid. I hesitated. I tried to walk over towards Corbaine, but I couldn't. My diamond was glowing and started to hum very furiously. Then, Master's voice came out of it. Each time he spoke, the diamond glew red. "NO!! I will not be pushed out!!! You can never get rid of me!! T_o stepped back and let Corbaine handle the sunlight. She wasn't much help at the moment to she just watched as she was turning back into 'Master' ready to help out again. Corbaine's eye twitched involuntarily for a breif moment. He was fed up with this 'Master' being. Taking a firm grip on my diamond, he dipped it into the sunlight without hesitation. I gasped as Corbaine grabbed my diamond. Master caused me to have seizure-like actions as the diamond was dipped in the liquid sunlight. "IF I DIE, THE IXI COMES WITH ME!!" I cried tears of pain and fear. The sunlight burned. The whole process seemed like a Catholic exorcisim. I can do this...I'll live...he won't take me with him.... The diamond started to give off a black flame, trying to overpower the sunlight. Corbaine snarled loudly in reply. "Then come out and fight! I'll take the chance of killing your host if it means sending you into oblivion!" Master had made this threat before, the fool had been using me as a sheild long enough. 'Fight it, Kyora.' Corbaine thought as he grinded his fangs in frustration. He kept both hands on the sunlight now; it was starting to shake quite a bit. All of a sudden, a black hand shot out of the diamond and grabbed Corbaine by the neck. The grip was tight.
T_o watched my actions and the sunlight and the dark hand. Her eyes widened as they gripped Corbaine's neck. She gasped as anger filled inside her. "Hold on Corbaine!" she yelled while she grabbed on to my diomand and the bottle of sunlight hoping that maybe the hand would try to grab her throat and let go of Corbaine's, she sunk the diomand deeper into the liquid.
Corbaine had been caught by surprise as the hand grasped his neck in a tight grip. He nearly dropped the sunlight, as he flinched slightly. "Abomination." he managed to growl, his voice became hoarse. He gasped for breath as the air in his lungs started to grow stale. I struggled and grunted. I saw Master's hand clasping Corbaine's neck. "You....you h-have caused....e-e-enou-ough da-damage. It's ti-ime f-for you tuh-to... die!" I choked. My tail went and grabbed the sunlight and I did Psychic Trap at my diamond and dunked it into the sunlight. There was a loud hissing noise like water being dropped into a fire. Master's hand disintegrated. There were bruises on Corbaine's neck. The liquid sunlight grew brighter and brighter. It's light was blinding. Master came out of the diamond. He was furious. He made a grab for me and was about to cut my throat when he shattered like glass. I fell to the ground. "It's over...." I coughed, "...he's gone..." At the defeat of Master, Mistress went crazy. "Brother, brother!" she screams, knowing this downfall could mean her own. Desert suffers a terrible headache, the crystal around his tail glowing bright pink. When Mistress calmed down a little, Desert started his earphone again. "Kyora...I think...you got Master...Am I right? Because Mistress just threw a temper tantrum." He says, shaking a little. "Where are you?.... T_o watched the Master shatter and smiled without saying a word, she pivited her foot and turned, walking to the door. 'He is gone...' she thought to herself almost crying she didn't face anyone as she let a couple tears fall from her eyes to the cold ground. She opened the door and turned around smiling at me, "Congrats..." she simply said and shut the door quietly. She was now in the room were a staircase was lit on fire. "Odd," she said aloud almost scared. She started a winds darkness attack and pushed the flames aside. Walking cautiously up the stair trying not to disturb anything. All the while the sunlight event was happening, Zenn was facing her opposite, Saturos. Zenn felt wind coming up the stairs. Zenn glared back at Saturos and ran down the stairs. When she reached T_o, she blocked her way. "No..saturos is up there...don't go. Let me fight her myself..it's time i started to fight on my own! Please just give me a chance..I'll call you if I need your help. Now go!" Zenn said turning away flicking her tail as she did. Hoping her friend would respect her wishes, she ran back up the stairs making a huge wall of flames..A hard task for anyone who didn't have fire powers to destroy. When she reached the top again she didn't give the slightest hint to saturos as to what she just did. T_o nodded and walked back down the stairs. For some reason she didn't feel like talking. Some sort of thing made her want to keep quiet, pride? She got to the end of the stairs and sat there looking up at the fire. Kinda reminding her of the past, the sunset that worked its way through the grey. The liquid sunlight fell to the ground, once it came in contact with the cold floor, the liquid spilled out and dissolved. Corbaine fell to the floor, clutching his throat while he gasped for the welcomed air. After a few minutes he stood and wiped his bleeding lip. With his other paw Corbaine gently felt the bruises on his neck. "I'm glad it worked." he coughed. My eyes were wide as a young curious child. They shone with a new brightness. I walked over to Corbaine and examined his neck. "I'm sorry I brought you guys into this whole mess. Corbaine...your neck...it's...so badly bruised..." Corbaine took a small step backward, his own eyes widening. "I've been through worse." he muttered, holding up both paws to shield his neck from view. "Honestly, I'm fine. How do you feel?" I smiled and said "Tired....Master didn't kill me, but he sure did drain alot of energy from me. Hey, where is T_o and Zenn?...Do you smell smoke? Corbaine sniffed the air. There was the acrid smell of smoke lingering. He stepped through the doorway and looked down the hallway to find the stairs had been engulfed in flame. "What-?" he snapped, finding it a bit painfull to growl, or speak loudly. T_o heard the fight below wanting to help so badly, she sighed and walked down to the second step which wasn't on fire and sat down again. She was bored and felt kinda proud of herself, she didn't notice but the air started to get thick with smoke. She made a small whirl wind to keep the smoke away. She saw Corbaine walk and ask 'what'. T_o got up and pointed down the staircase "Zenn and her opposite are fighting..." she started a whirlwind around Corbaine so he wouldn't choke on the fumes. Desert ran down the stairs, three at a time, to meet Mange. 'I hope he can show me the way back to T_o,' he thought as he bounded down the steps. Mange waited at the door, snow building up on him. He shivered but once and shook off the snow. When Desert hit the icy winds, he did something he hadn't done for years. Shiver. But the cold invulnerability that came with his ice powers soon kicked in and he didn't do it again. "Mange? Where's T_o and the others?" He asked. Mange glared at Desert unhappily and looked south-east for a couple of seconds and looked back at him. He then turned into a small shadow which glided avross the snow around Desert a few times signaling to follow him
Desert followed, his lab coat billowing in the wind, and his eyes set on Mange. Mange glided swifly in the snow caring less if Desert could keep up with him or not, he didn't want to make any friends because one was good enough. He scanned the area looking for Shadowed pretty much knowing she was everywere, but didn't spot her. He sensed the presence of someone else he stopped instantly and looked back at Desert turning into his own solid self again. He creased his eyes and hissed which sounded bad but really ment, "I sense something around you shadow...something powerful..." he closed his eyes, his sences pulsating. He opened them quickley, and realized Desert wasn't Corbaine, "Of course you can't understand me now can you?" he then glided once again. Gah, I wish I brought Daeg now,' Desert thought as he bounded after Mange again when his moment of solidness had ended, unable to decipher the hiss. Mange was going faster than normal when the ruined building came into veiw before he thought it would he stopped suprisingly again and looked at Desert. He then started to walk normal to the door. Panting, Desert walked to the abandoned lab and thought that after this whole elements thing was over, he could do his experiments there. Snapping back to the present, he followed Mange into the decrepit building. Smoke was all around in the entrance room and Mange could barely see, it didn't bother him though because he didn't breathe alot. There fighting in front of them was the two fire elements, he slowly backed away and ran into Desert lightly. Desert was cold and icy which made Mange flinch. He looked up at him and hissed again, "We'll have to go a different way...you might melt...Get out of hear before you are noticed." he looked at the door then at Desert back and forth several times hoping he would get the picture. With that Mange climbed up the wall looking down at the fire elementals on the search for a different doorway, planning to report back to Desert later. Desert counged and fell to all fours, where the smoke was thinner. Nodding to Mange and proceeding to the door indicated. Seeing T_o at the top of the stairs, he got up and waved, hoping she could see him. I choked when I came into the room that was engulfed in flames. I flapped my wings to try and clear the smoke. Through it, I saw Mange and Desert. "DESERT!!" I pushed through the smoke, flapping my wings. Desert heaved a sigh of relief as the strangling smoke was pushed away. "Kyora! I hope the Master's gone?" he said, patting his fur free of smoke. "Eheh, anout the blue color, the Mistress had a temper tantrum about something." T_o looked down past the flame to see how the battle was and spotted a blue bori she suddenly stood up but the Bori left. She waned to get down there but the flames were too big and she didn't know the building that well. Mange crawled on the ceiling past the flames, past T_o and Corbaine, and past the room were my Master was defeated and down a ruined hall. He looked around for a window but found a staircase instead which had a door leading to the end he opened it and he was in the back of the building looking around and grinning at his find, he ran to the front in search for Desert. When he spotted him he started hissing, "A back door, that leads to them, follow me if you will," he looked at me and grinned as friendly as he possably could. He then glided towards the back again. Well, he's gone for now atleast....Anyways, I think Mange wants us to follow him. He keeps looking up at me and then over at something. Come on. If you'd be so kind as to lead the way," I said as I looked down at Mange. --- Corbaine held his hair against his face as the wind cleared the smoke. "Thank you." he said to T_o as he looked up the stairs. He could've swore he had seen a flash of shadow move across the ceiling. --- Mange dashed to the back of the building I reminded myself "Oh yes! Corbaine just made me remember I have something urgent to do too. Mange?! Could we hurry please? Mange stopped and looked back at her, "If you need to do something do it now..." he glared and started running again. Kyora just stared at Mange. He looked as if he was talking. Mange walked in and looked around, he found that T_o was alone, still kind of suprised at everyone leaving. T_o saw Desert and Mange, "Hi!" she gasped suprised. "How did you get here?" she started a whirlwind around them both so that they didn't have to choke on the air around them. "Everyone is gone!" she yelled over the crackling fire and fighting elementals. As Mange left the hallway where T_o and I stood, he paused at the doorway. "If needed, there should be atleast one more packet of sunlight in the floor below." he offered, refering to the room I had fallen in earlier. "I'm off to...the Water Tower. It's urgent," and he disappeared. Having known the inside and out of the destroyed labratory he located the back exit with ease and stood out in the snow, taking a moment to locate the way to Maraqua. The tower was sure to be near there, right? Everyone went their seperate ways... --- Once the back door was in sight, Desert stepped up his pace a little, with freedom from the stifling heat and smoke within his reach. Desert was about to ask T_o if he could come along, but she disappeared too quickly. Feeling the whirlwind die down, Desert flipped up his pocket teleporter shaped like a flip-cell phone and went to his tower. Desert, who was also bored back at his tower, called Daeg once, scince he didn't like the clumsy Tenna alone in his tower, and soon heard a hovering hum, a roll, and a squeak as Daeg slid on the ice floor to Desert's feet. He sighed and said,"You clumsy little thing, come on." He picked up the beildered Tenna and walked to the teleportation tiles area. Soon he was in the room destined to be the teleport room. T_o ended up on the 3rd floor looking out at theendless plains. Mange jumped out of her hands and slided away. The small gentle whirlwinds that took the role of stairs could be heard echoing throughout the tower. She relaxed for the first time in a while and wondered if anyone would come by. Zenn, after walking for quite awhile came upon the wind tower. She walked up to the door and pushed it open. Looking inside she didn't see T_o but she sensed her presence. T_o sat in her chair flicking at a pencil she found, she looked at the marble wall and back at the pencil, "Whatever," she got up and started to draw a picture of Mange, when she was done she liked what she saw and drew a picture of Zenn, her tail was too poofy, but she didn't care. She looked at the two characters and sat down next to the large empty wall. She looked one way, then the other way and got up again and began to draw all her friends. Kyora, Desert, Corbaine, some elementals she met. She then drew everyone and everything she crossed by and paused admiring her work, not the best but oh well. She couldn't help but notice that something or someone was missing. She scanned her picture trying to remember. "Oh yes!" T_o smiled drawing Rytioh. She then realized, "Rytioh...he wanted to talk to me didn't he?" T_o swung her head and looked out the window, trying to sence were he was. After a few minutes of searching Zenn stumbled upon T_o's location. She walked into the small room and picked up one of the drawings T_o did. Walking out of the soon-to-be teleporter room, Desert saw T_o looking out the window, and decided to leave her alone for a while. Instead if bothering her, Desert scanned the pictures on her desk. "Creativity wave..." He mumbled, flipping through the pictures.
T_o smiled a half smile and still looked out the window, without turning her head she spoke. When he got to the picture T_o drew of me, Desert inwardly smiled at the fact there was no shadow looming behind me, or any trace of the Master.
I landed in the Haunted Woods. "Okay, I'm here just like that Ixi in my dream told me." Fog rose up. I saw a shadowed Ixi-like figure come from behind a tree. I tensed. Kyora...you came." The shadowed figure came out from the fog. It was the Ixi I saw in my dream. Who are you?" Lyrutah. I glanced at Lyrutah. I then saw flame marks on his thighs, like the ones on mine. I gasped. How did you get those flame markings... Like you did. I was under the clutches of Master too. But I escaped. Kyora, I am your brother. I gasped again, but louder. I had no knowledge of any family members, let alone family members who had also been under Master's hand. ...I have...a brother? Yes. And I called you here for a reason. There is something of great importance I need to tell you. I looked into Lyrutah's eyes. "What is it? I see things in my dreams. I am a Gaurdian Dream Deer. What I saw, was you and your diamond. You defeated Master, yes? Uh huh. With the help of some other shadows... Indeed, he is destroyed, but some part of him still lives. No!! We got rid of him!!!" Yes, you did!! But when he was destroyed, his black magic entered your heart. Not your diamond, but your heart. This can't be true...Why are you telling me this? Why must I be cursed with all of this? I do not know, sister. But his magic that resides in your heart has left you with great power that you must keep sealed. My head dropped. Tears fell to the ground. "But we defeated him...he was supposed to be gone forever...How do I get rid of his black magic? You can't. All I can tell you is that you must keep it sealed, and sealed tight. Don't ever let it get out." With that, Lyrutah disappeared. I fell to the ground and cried. "No part of him was supposed to be left behind...We got rid of him completley...How could a part of him still manage to live... Why..." After Lyrutah left me in the swamps of the Haunted Woods, I got up after hours of crying over the fact that Master had implanted a part of himself inside my heart. How long will I be battling this? Myself...and Master...Will my whole life consist of this battle? I shook her head and flew out of the Haunted Woods in search of Tesiana. "It's time for a visit from your old friend, Tes..." I flew in search of her, for our second encounter
Months later, I had met up with my friend T_o, and Zenn. We flew over to T_o's tower. T_o walked away to go to the highest part of the tower. She felw up the stairs and opened the door to look out for Cadrette. Who she sensed was coming. This Cadrette swooped into veiw of the tower and gave it a gleeful smile. "T_OOOOO!!!! T_o looked up at the ixi who was flying full speed at her and fled as she crashed through the wall. I HAVEN'T SEEN YOU SINCE I DIED!" She squeeks as she tackled T_o.
I grimaced at this Ixi. It was the exact personality I hated. I already had to deal with it from my "sister" Star. T_o looked at me helplessly as Cadrette hugged her making her loose air. "Y---you din' die Cadrette" A sweat drop swelled up the side of her head. "Leggo!" Cadrette looked over at me and suddenly let go of T_o dropping her to the floor. She approached me rather slowly. "You've got some dark karma" She grinned. "Can I poke you?" I snarled, growled, roared, then snapped at Cadrette. "Don't you -dare- touch me." My diamond gave off a strong pulse of dark energy. T_o stepped infront of Cadrette and shook her head. "We don't talk to people that way...You gotta be normal around my friends okay?"
Cadrette gave T_o an over confident look and leaped over her landing in front of me again.
I towered over Cadrette. I scowered at Cadrette. I opened my mouth and snarled, as black poison came from my fangs. I wanted to do her Poison Dark Flame attack so bad, but held it in, but let the poison part of it drip from my fangs. My eyes quickly glowed white. "I'm not scared of a stupid twit like you. T_o gulped and scooted next to Cadrette and wispered in her ear. "Please, dont do this now, you just met Kyora, dont push her please?"
Cadrette shifted her gaze towards T_o and back at me Because I despise bright, happy and goofy Neopets." I spit in Cadrette's eyes and ran off. T_o's eyes widened and she ran towards Cadrette in utter shock.
Cadrette simply smiled and let the poison run its course without complaint. Desert walked out from a shadow, his slightly harried face surprised and almost amused. "T_o. I was wondering when you'd come back." His voice only held a tint of his dementia, his eyes only a shade of maddened glaze. My diamond felt wierd, like how it did when Master first lodged himself inside it. I was feeling extremely moody lately. I was snapping at alot of people, but tried not to snap at my friends, the few friends I had anyways. I flew outside and landed on the ground to calm my nerves. My diamond kept pulsing, but I sensed no other Elementals. What is going on?" I asked out loud I sat outside in the snow; I felt dizzy and unwell. My diamond was giving off strong pulses. My head felt like it was swelling like a balloon being filled with water. I stood up, but wobbled. I was hyperventilating and I took a few steps, and fainted. -- Ya....I've been gone lately." Cadrette stared at Desert uninterested. "I DONT CARE WHO HE IS I GOTTA GO A DO SOMETHING MORE IMPORTANT!!" She yelled the words almost back to back. She ran across the room and jumped out the window hovering to find me. "Where is you!!?" she called happily and suddenly saw me on the ground unconcious. She squeaked and flew down next to me. "ARE YOU DEAD?!?!?"
Desert startled when I suddenly fainted. I lay on the snow, not hearing Cadrette's words.
Cadrette nudged me with her hoof lightly. 'Shes still breathin' she thought. STOP" a voice yelled, coming from me. But it wasn't my voice. My eyes shot open, glowing a blinding white.
Cadrette was suprised but still held on to me. Right before T_o answered Desert's question her diamand jolted. "Crap!" she ran to the window and skydived to the ground. With a expansion of her wings she landed right next to Cadrette and I and ran to us. "CADRETTE LET GO! Cadrette listened and let go.
T_o shoved her aside and looked down at me. She felt shooken up inside but kept her steady heart beat hoping not to give off signs of fear Suprised?" he said, making me smile and evil, crooked, grin. "Thought I was gone? Don't you remember I went inside Kyora's diamond?" He made my arm swipe at Cadrette.
Cadrette dodged it swiftly. WAIT A SEC!!" T_o called up to Cadrette who had disappeared.
The possessed me walked over to T_o. T_o creased her eyes, she wanted to attack so badly but knew that she would hurt me if she tried.
I came back and shook my head. The coward..' T_o thought.
Zenn looked out the window taken by suprise by all that had just occured. Hearing angry voices below she jumped out of the -blocked- Being part feline she easily landed on her paws. Looking at my and T_o's startled faces, she sighed. While I was unconscious earlier, inside my mind was my older brother Lyrutah. He had come into contact with Master. As soon as I woke up, he disappeared into the nearby forest. He watched me and the others, and listened to our conversation. He walked out towards us. Yah...I thought it was master..." T_o sighed. "And Cadrette ran off at the first sign of him! No I didn't!" Cadrette's voice yelled from behind T_o causing her to jump, "I've been behind you this whole time!!" T_o's eyes widened, "No you haven't..
Cadrette saw the approaching ixi and did a double take. I looked over in his direction. ...Ly? Is that you? Lyrutah nodded. You think I'm tall? Lyrutah is even TALLER. His different colored eyes were showing deep concern. The spirit flames on his legs were small and faint, usually they are strong and bright. Zenn looked over at the freakishy tall ixi approaching. She was barley around T_o's size, so she has to stand back to get a better look. T_o looked up a him, "so your name is Ly?" she held out her hand, "I'm T_o, and this is Cadrette. Cadrette glared at him still in a protective stance. My name is Lyrutah actually. I am Kyora's older brother. I looked at him, listening. I am a Dream Guardian. I see Master is still around. You know, I was once his prisoner too. But I escaped. I thought I had helped Kyora escape him."
Cadrette stomped in front of him.
I replied with a slight scowl Lyrutah shook his head. "We've gone through too much in our lives to even believe in karma. Kyora, I think I know of a way to help you. To purify, if you will. Both of us, releasing you from Master completley and sending him to oblivion, and to bring your memories back, and to reveal our true identities. I looked over to Ly. "Are you saying we're a certain...species of Ixi? Ly shrugged, and replied, "Yes, sort of. You're not going to like this, but we're AngelStar Ixis." My mouth dropped. "Did you say...Angel? I'm an ANGEL?! HECK NO. I'm a DEMON. I ain't no stinking angel!!!" I was in Ly's face, snorting hotly through my nostrils, stamping into the ground. Being an angel isn't that bad!" Cadrette huffed. You are one like it or not. And you're going to go back to being one plus get your memories back," Lyrutah replied just as hotly as Kyora's reaction. Well what if I don't want to be purified? What if I like being a demon? Hrmph." I rammed into my brother, sending him into a tree. Kyora!....I'm your brother! Guess you've never heard of 'sibling rivalry' although, that doesn't fully play into this situation, but you get the picture right?" I smirked. Lyrutah scrunched up his face and he ran back into me sending me flying into a tree.
I shook off the blow. Lyrutah shouted strange words, and a blue ora appeared around me, freezing me in a way. I'll be purified too. Although my life isn't like yours. I'm the same Ixi as you yet different. I'm not a demon. Master trained me differently. He trained me to steal dreams. Yet I escaped and instead of stealing dreams, I protect them."
T_o stared at Ly oddly.
T_o stared at both of us oddly. Well, duh!" Cadrette said in a snappy tone. 'It should be illegal for angels to look like that.' she wispered to T_o glancing at me. T_o restrained from slapping Cadrette in the face, "Don't judge a book by its cover Cadrette." Well she has already judged me." Cadrette rolled her eyes and started stamping out the ground. Cadrette looked around and sighed. He seems like he can take care of himself." She wispered, "He don't need OUR help...PLUS! We got better things to worry about then a silly pair of ixis" she said crossing her hooves. Like what?" T_o asked sarcastically. Cadrette shrugged innocently.
Cadrette smirked at me. T_o smiled, "Thanks for not being too difficult about it. The place we need to venture forth to is the Forest of Dreams," announced Lyrutah. T_o shot a conifdent look, "Let's go to the Forest of Dreams! So where do we start Ly?" Cadrette squeaked and suspended into the air.
Lyrutah transformed into his spirit form.
"We'll have to fly there. Follow me!" Lyrutah majestically soared, heading southwest. I got up, and took flight as well. T_o set off into the air with a determined look on her face, "We'll get rid of Master for sure this time!
Cadrette shot into the air as well and was diving and suspending like a dolphin. Zenn also followed. After a while, we arrived at a forest. It was surrounded by thick, red mist. This is the place everyone," Ly stated. What exactly -is- this place?" I asked. It's called Blood Forest," replied Ly. "Stay with me. As everyone walked into the thick vegetation, I felt faint. Zenn looked around slightly out of breath. When she could breath normally again she took in what was around her and turned to Ly. I thought we were going to the 'Forest of Dreams'..." I sarcastically remarked. This is. But it's not known by that name. Now, we're almost to the center. There's a crevice there, where we need to go inside it in order to get to the Starlit Diamond. That's what we're going to use to purify ourselves, sister. I don't like the sounds of this," I said, hoarsely. I was feeling more faint by the second, I didn't know why. I noticed Zenn. Nya...what...Huh? Oh, I've been here the whole time. I'm just coming along in case if you need anything. And there's nothing else for me to do." Zenn said smiling. T_o stopped at the forest's edge and stared at it, "Wow its...different. Are you sure this will rid you of Master? It looks a bit...evil to me." She hesitently walked forward.
Cadrette skipped in as if nothing was wrong with it. As Cadrette skipped past Lyrutah, he shouted. "Cadrette! Stop right where you are!! The crevice is about 5 steps in front of you!!" Cadrette came to a sudden hault, balancing on one of her front legs and stood there squinting her eyes, "I dont see nothin." Lyrutah walked up next to Cadrette. "That's because it's covered up by the mist." Lyrutah performed a small spell, and the mist cleared. As it did, a large, deep crevice was revealed. I walked up to it. "So...it's down there, huh?
Cadrette smiled as if she was plotting something. Is she always like this?" he asked, turning to T_o. T_o stared too, "She's fearless that's all I'm gonna say." A sweatdrop appeared on her forehead.
A voice echoed from a ways down in the crevice.
I glared at Cadrette. I flapped my wings and rose in the air, and dove down into the crevice. Don't forget Zenn!" I shouted on my way down. What crawled up her butt?" Cadrette mumbled to the last that where still standing. She cut off her levitation and began to free fall back down. I'll carry Zenn down." T_o nodded to Ly, "You can go ahead." She looked over to Zenn, "You ready? Ly nodded, and he followed in after Cadrette and I.
Cadrette kept on falling and was rapidly catching up to me. Lyrutah flew up next to her. "Be quiet. There might be a creature gaurding the diamond, and if there is, we don't want to disturb it just yet. I looked up at Cadrette. "Yeah, what he said! Shut up!" Well excuse me lil miss Crab-A." She huffed and levitated herself again. She flew behind Ly now figuring out that she should be a little more serious I don't know. I'm not sure if there is one or not," replied Lyrutah. Zenn frowned slightly and ignored T_o's offer. She took in a short breath and dived into the crevice. As she was falling she found what she was looking for. Extending all of her claws she managed to come to a safe stop on the wall. Squinting to see how much farther it was she did her best to slowly slide down. When she thought she saw the bottom she let go and fell. As everyone descended to the ground in the deep crevice, a soft blue light was coming from inside. Lyrutah told all of us to follow him, and as we came inside the cave inside the crevice, a large blue diamond shone brightly. It was growing from out of a rock, and was very tall. It sparkled and gave off light like a star, hence the name of Starlit Diamond. Wow....it's..it's beautiful.." I murmured to myself. Well, here it is. Kyora, are you ready?
Cadrette had a worried look on her face. She didn't know much of these diamands, but she didn't like how the colors of mine matched with the colors of the blue glowing beauty.
T_o stared at the diamand.
Not hearing what Cadrette or T_o said, Lyrutah walked up to the large diamond. Meow?" Cadrette listened in on what he was going to say.
I walked up to Lyrutah, only to see him crying. Be careful not to touch it Cadrette! ...Step back, I'm going to cast the purification spell. Kyora, put your hoof against the diamond," said Lyrutah as he put his hoof on the diamond. As Lyrutah was reciting the chant, he and I started to glow, as did the diamond. There was bright light everywhere, and the earth started to shake around them. Rocks were falling, ground was cracking. Lyrutah and I were levitated up into the air. Then, black shadows came out of Lyrutah and me. And as Master was forced out, he lashed at me, and I glowed a eerie gray instead of pure white like Lyrutah. The black shadows were sucked into the Starlit Diamond, and the purification was complete. Our appearances had changed. We both had stars appear on our forelegs, and blue crescent moons appear on our hindlegs. Halos appeared above our heads. We transformed. But we found out my purification didn't work out as planned. There were two reasons. One, my heart rejected the powers of the Starlit Diamond, and two, Master's doing. Although, he was gone once and for all, he once again left his mark. My halo was black, and horned. Instead of having spirit flames on all four of my legs, like Lyrutah, I only had them on my hind legs. It wasn't a complete failure, but not a complete sucess either.
Cadrette's body cringed at the sight of the magical ritual taking place.
I saw my reflection in the huge diamond. I ducked my head. I..I'm sorry!! But I thought it would work!! I thought that's what you wanted!
Cadrette floated in between us. T_o stood there speechless. Pssh. I can name one who won't respect it. Augh. I can already hear her taunting me. Curse her. She's 'death', she should know how it feels," I snarled. Well...we can't try and do it again. It was a one time shot. I'm sorry, sister. Well, that was all good and dandy," I replied with sarcasm, "but now me and T_o have to be going somewhere. I kept hearing this voice in my head as we entered the forest, that all shadows must find this temple...whatever. Come on, T_o." I flapped my wings and flew out, leaving the group behind. Lyrutah stood there, with a sad look on his face. He wanted to help me, and he had failed. He turned into his spirit form, and flew right through the rocks of the cave. Lyrutah....I'm sorry it didn't turn out....but you tried! You should atleast be happy for that!!" Cadrette started softly, then yelled. Ly could barely hear Cadrette. He wasn't moving quickly, and as she apologized, his eyes teared up. He continued on his way. To be continued....some day
How come Kyora's really named "buddy4730"? Well Kyora was adopted from the pound :D She was just a red ixi then. I "renamed" her Kyoralaaktah, Kyora for short. It doesn't really mean anything, I just made it up. Will Kyora go out with my pet? Then can I be your friend? Why am I on Kyora's dislike list? If you have anymore questions for me and Kai, just drop a neomail.
