Animal Abuse
All of you want to stop animal abuse, right?? Some of us, most of us, would got to desperate measures to insure that every animal on the planet is loved. That is a helpful thing to do for all of the animals on Earth. But not all of us have time to go around the world and give our love and care to EVERY animal in the land. The best way to insure that the animals around the world are content is to directly or indirectly make sure that the animals we know: our pets, our friends' pets, the animals that live in our backyard, etc., are happy. If every person in the world helped the animals that they directly or indirectly know, every single animal in the world would be healthy and happy. Here are some simple tips to helping those animals:
Feed the animals you love everyday, and if you can't, have a "petsitter" to do it for you when you're not around.
Don't let your pet have babies. There are certified breeders, and they know that there are TOO many strays and neglected pets out there. If you were just going to add more that would be left to the street, you'd be adding to the abuse around the world.
Make sure that your pet receives yearly "check-ups" at the vet's office. Some people are overwhelmed if their pet becomes ill, and the sick pets are left on the street to die. This is also the cse with pregnant pets, the owner feels overwhelmed with the fact that multiple petss will soon be in the house, so the pet is left on the street.
If you feel overwhelmed with anything that your pet might heap upon you, don't abandon it; there might be a family out there that will be willing to take the pet in.
If there is a hurt animal that you see in Suburbia, don't handle the animal yourself, call a professional, who knows how to handle it, and could be of use.
Ignore peer pressure. 'What does peer pressure have to do with animal abuse??' you may ask. Example: 'Hey Dude, there's a snake! Let's go chop it into a billion pieces, or should we just cut it , so it can feel it, then it will die with pain and suffering? Or maybe both!' You see?? That is animal abuse. Killing a snake or such for your own survival is necessasary, don't hurt an animal just for the heck of it.
Give your pet love and attention on a regular basis. Just feeding your pet isn't enough. If you ignore your pet, but keep it well fed, your pet could also suffer from depression and neglect. And vice versa, your pet could be loved deeply, but be melnourished. Both cases are abuse.
If you follow these tips, you're on your way to making this world a place for both animals and humans.
Storys
Ella the Collie was a Christmas present on the Christmas of 04. For six monthes, she was the center of all attention in her new home. But she got sick often and was of much expense to her family. She became a great annoyance to them. Gradually over time, she found herself in the laundry room often, until the point where the only time she saw her "family" was about once every two or three days, to refill her food bowl. After a year of being hidden away in the tiny room, her family decided to move. For three monthes, she was loved again. One day, however, her family left and never returned. Ella was alone in her house, or her laundry room, and she was only left with three bags of food. After about five weeks, a realtor came to inspect the place. She was looking through the house and was surprised when she opened the door to the laudry room. She saw an extremely melnourished and dirty dog. The room was covered in dog hair, dog 'do,' dog pee, and vomit. The realtor was terrified, and Ella scooted herself to the edge of the room and whined. The realtor called the Humaane Soceity of their county, and the Society came right away. Within two monthes, Ella was calm and healthy again. She was adopted right away, and is now with her new family, where she's been for over a year. :D Her former owners were banned from ever owning an animal again in their lifetime. The police took their two gerbils, a new puppy, and a cat away from the family and those animals were abused as well, and they also found a home, like Ella.

Ella, a few days after being rescued.

A little white 7 pound senior Chihuahua mix girl was
thrown in a garbage bag and then tossed into a dumpster in Bridgeport, CT the beginning of this year.
She was so sick that she had to be euthanized.
We would like justice for Mitzey and for her owner to be found.
She was so full of tumors she cried out because her body would not let her waste out.
What kind of world is this when this behavior is acceptable.
Please help us spread the word and help us find the owners who instead of giving her a peaceful send off to heaven put her in the garbage to die an agonizing death alone.
When the owners are found we want them to be accountable for abandoning their dog in the final stage of her life and prosecuted for the animal cruelty Mitzey had to endure.
A new terrier puppy, Macey, was loved in her family. One day, however, she was hit by a car, and they thought she was dead, as most people do. They took her to the vet, and she was indeed alive. The family rejoiced, but Macey needed surgery. The price was far too much, so the family took her outside and set her down. Then they drove away. Twenty minutes later, the vets relized that the dog they had just inspected, Macey, was whining on the curb, alone. The vets did perform surgery, and were successful. Macey was sent to the family's house. They were happy to see her, but once again through her out. Macey wandered the streets for over three weeks. A Rite-Aid pharmacist found Macey, and took her to the animal shelter. Macey had been starving, and she smelled, and her hair was matted, and bald spots showed. Macey was kept at the animal shelter for two monthes, where she was nursed back to health. She was adopted by a young couple, where she was loved.

Macey, a month after being in the shelter.
