Welcome to Mondain Voros! Mondain Voros is a roleplaying guild about wolves, packs, relations, and an otherworldly planet stuck in the middle of imagination. We wish that those of you with us at Mondain Voros will have a wonderful experience bonding and getting to know one another. Those of you who are new to the idea of Mondain Voros, who have not yet become members, I encourage you to talk to us and find out about who we are! We're basically small and very close to eachother-- and we'd like to keep it that way. Our characters have very tight relationships with histories that go back as far as the beginning of time (well, that was because some of us like to do crazy plotting). To everyone at the FAQs page today, I'm giving you a warm welcome, and I'm extending my hand out to all of you so that you will also want to be a part of our jolly, cozy team.

MESSAGE FROM GUILD LEADERS

Our guild's about quality over quantity. I want to see people join us because they are passionate about roleplay: because they love literature, because they obsess in their characters and live their characters every single day. These are the people I want to see in my guild. I want to make it clear to everyone that Mondain Voros is for people who just can't stand to live without real, substantial roleplay: meaning full-bodied, visually dynamic, beautifully written, insightful roleplay. But let's not be too serious, right? Of course, everyone has lives! We're a small, private little community: we love all of our members. There ARE going to be days when you just don't feel like roleplaying for the day (tuckered out from school/work, what else?). Totally excusable: our guild boards are for light chats and general community fun. At the guild's forum, however, things are hectic: there are plots being designed, characters being discussed. Creatures and monsters of all sorts being made-- those are all left to the creative imagination. Do I whet your taste? Of course I do. To all those who are ambitious: it would be an honor for you to join the team. Don't hesitate to apply to our guild if you are looking for the best of the roleplaying world. :)

Q: What exactly is Mondain Voros?
A: Well, Mondain's basically a guild brimming with the most talented writers and artists. That's the gist of it. It's for those who are passionate and ambitious in either art or roleplaying or both-- and they should be rather sufficient in them. We do love to have variety in our guild, however, so we are very welcoming to newcomers and would love to have them!

Q: How long has Mondain been around?
A: It's been around since June 7, 2007.

Q: Who are the masterminds behind Mondain Voros?
A: That's Meg and Roo, who founded the guild originally to be a private rp guild between just themselves, but recently they decided to expand the guild further.

Q: What's it like in Mondain? Why should I want to be in it?
A: Why shouldn't you want to be in Mondain? :D We offer you the chance to make great friends and meet the most talented people of neopets, whether they're artists, roleplayers, or the like. We are a very small, personal guild, and so everyone gets to know eachother very well-- no tension, we adore one another.

Q: What do people in the guild do?
A: What else do we do? We make devious plot schemes in roleplaying and character-creation. We discuss all kinds of things on the boards-- creative stuff, or trivial personal stuff-- no one cares. xD We also have roleplaying going on all of the time between people. Everyone's most willing to see a newcomer to roleplay with. And, more likely than not, you'll find many of the artists collaborating on art projects together.

Q: How strict is Mondain? Is it strict at all?
A: Nope! Not strict at all :) We're quite lax and we just about love everyone for their eccentricities. Everyone's unique and we've got to embrace them for that, after all. We're very willing to encourage broad imagination. So no rules in the chatboard. No rules in roleplay. Of course, we have the basic guidelines-- but they are just to ensure everyone's happiness and well-being. :D

Q: What kind of stuff does Mondain offer me?
A: We have a roleplay board so far, and hopefully more soon!

Q: What are my chances of getting into Mondain Voros?
A: As of now, we take almost everyone that applies. That's a pretty good chance, wouldn't you agree? This is because, as we've said above, we absolutely love everyone for their uniqueness and eccentricities; and if you have a talent you'd like to share, we'd like to see it.

Q: What can I do to help Mondain?
A: You can donate to the guild by visiting our shop here and buying things from Meg's store. I'm sure she'll have plenty of things for you to buy. ;D

Q: What do I do now that I'm in Mondain?
A: Get on the boards and talk to us! We'll be happy to answer any other questions you have.

Q: I'm a big fan. Tell me about the Mondain themes.
A: Why sure! ^^ As you'll see find out from the homepage, Mondain Voros is made up of two main lands. Enfer, the home of the guardian Fei, and Verre, home of the guardian Tahn. Members of Enfer use colors red and black, and members of Verre use colors cold-blue and white.

Q: Are there any contests in Mondain? And if so, where/when will it be held?
A: We'll be getting to that soon!

Q: So why is this FAQ and guild so much like Superior?
A: Ever since Superior fell out near the end of 2006, Megwatson decided to create Mondain Vorros with Roo under the same ideals, and it would've been a shame to have deleted this faq page she worked so hard to create, right? ;D

A P P L I C A T I O N

1. Click here to start the neomail for your application.

2. In the subject of your neomail, you MUST put this: Mondain App (A neomail with any other subject will be ignored application-wise)

3. The content of your neomail must be formatted this way:

Name: State the name you'd like for us to call you.
Gender: Are you male, female, or are you nothing? (you're an alien)
Bio: Tell us briefly about yourself, your strengths, hobbies, whatever you'd like for us to know.
Why: Give us a reason why you should allowed in Mondain Voros. Maybe you'd rather tell us why you love Mondain Voros, maybe some of you would rather like to tell us how you would help our little community by being part of it. But please do not try to sound arrogant/elitist.
Link: Now give us the link or address to a sample of your work. If you are a writer, provide us with a sample of your roleplay or written work. If you are an artist, give us the link to a sample of your artwork. If you are an artist as well as a writer, astound us with both!

When you are done, press the button to send the neomail. Now you'll have to wait. Whenever we read an application, we will always reply with our decision and constructive criticism. However, if we don't reply by three weeks, you can send your application again. If you are rejected, you still have a chance to apply after one month. Please do not be rude to us. If you are caught being rude, snotty, or whiney, we will ignore you.

For the most part, just relax! We don't bite. :D If you happen to find one of the guild members, don't hesitate to neomail them and ask them some questions to show your interest!

A D V I C E . 4 . Y O U

So would you like to have advice on how to become a part of the mania? You've come to the right place. We're generally pretty accepting of all people because we love everyone and, again, would like to see all kinds of talents. Although art and writing sometimes go hand in hand, there are humans out there who can only do writing or only do art. Generally, in getting into Mondain Vorros, we want to see you really display your talents to us, really make a showcase of it. Impress us with what you've got. Be it a novel you wrote back in 5th grade, show us! It doesn't hurt to give your best shot at everything, knowing that you've put in your 110% or, what others would like to say, your full two cents.

Basically the most general rule of all, (thought you should already know this) and the rule that could help you succeed in life, is to be polite and kind to us. We don't want someone to belligerant and demanding throughout their whole application! That's not how making friends works. Remember, we want to be your friend. So it helps for your application to sound nice and sweet and amiable. Oh, goad us with pleasantries and jokes, worm yourself into our affections :) Be our little pet.

Another little important aspect in the application process will definitely be personality. Yes! We want personality. We don't want a fake, plastic person with no voice of their own. That'd be looking at a blank cardboard box. We want to see a colorful, personally designed cardboard box. In other words, we want to see the real you! Make your application uniquely you. What is it that you like? Who are you as a person? Are you bubbly? Emo? Serious? Hardy? Casual? Light? Haha, you get the idea.

One thing you can do to really help put fluorish to your application and really finalize our decision is sprucing up your lookup. And not necessarily a lookup chock-full of art and digital whata-whatas. We're just talking about something simple.. maybe a little description. Whatever you want. If you've got some Neopets trophies, we'd be delighted to see them. The thing is, a nice lookup is usually a sign of commitment. It shows us that you are at least a little active with that account (if it's not your main) and that you'd be willing to be an active member.

Again, as explained above, it really helps if you showcase your talents. What good would it be to apply and not show us just how special you are? If you are a writer, you might like to give us an example of the best piece you've ever written! You might show us a novel you've written back in the day that you still really love. (we love reading novels, by the way) Or, if you're an artist, it doesn't hurt to set up an art gallery :) A lot of people have them nowadays, and they're just the latest craze. Deviantart is a good place to start if you haven't done so already. This way, you can also get good criticism from others, and we'll get to see your best works in an online portfolio.

Last but not least, remember that this guild is really set on putting in as many people as we can! It's really about the quality of your enthusiasm, and not so much the quality of your art/writing. We can tell if you really love what you do and if you put a lot of time and effort into it. So if you're honest and genuine, we just won't say no. In other words, relax! Don't be so uptight. Be confident. But just have fun.

1. Be polite, kind, courteous, and friendly.
2. Don't be afraid to show us your true personality.
3. Show us that you want to commit to us.
4. Showcase your best work-- be it art, writing, etc.
5. Always, always have fun and relax. Don't stress it.
