Making your own Screenie Page
Quick guide to talking screenies!
to take a screenshot hold down the "alt" and "print sc" keys (next to the F12 key) at the same time (it will seem like nothing happened) now open Paint > open up a new file > go to file - paste. There you go!
The final few things:
To edit your page go here the alt key makes it so you only take a screen shot of the window you are looking at and not everything you have open on your computer!! It uses less memory on your computer!! Its also helps when taking screenies of games! ;) Note: If you want both the pop-up window and the page behind it to show in your screenshot; only press the print sc key! Now what you ask... Ok, now once you have your screen shot pasted into Paint you need to resize the picture. Scroll to the very edge of the image... put your mouse over the corner of the image moviing little by little till your curser turns into a double arrow... now click the mouse and move the image to its new size! Note: you should still be able to read the lettering on your image, if you can't you have made it too small - try again! Now you need to crop the image! You can do this two different ways: Way One: Scroll to the very edge of your screen (like you did in the last step, but this time the corner in blank... move your mouse around just like you did last step till it turns into a double arrow... now drag that box (you are now cropping the picture) so that all the unwanted parts of your image are cut off! Way Two: Chose the selection tool (the dotted box icon) and draw the box around the part of the image you want to keep! Now go to edit and copy. Then go to file and new. When the window pops up chose ok. Now go to edit and paste! Then just adjust the background as explained above!! Now your image is ready to save! Please Note: If you have Photoshop, Paint Shop Pro, or any type of program like that you should use it instead of paint!! To save: go to file > save as... then where is says "save as type" choose a web friendly option... this could either be JPEG/.jpg if the image you want to save more like a photo (lots of color and detail) or GIF/.gif if your image has more writing or line art! Now your screenshot is ready for the web! Enjoy! :) http://www.neopets.com/edithomepage.phtml To find out how to make your page look cool go here: http://www.neopets.com/help/html1.phtml A sites you can upload your images too: photobucket.com Q: How do I put an image on my pets page? So You Want a Good Chat Font
Quick guide to making your chat font rock!
First off, to change your font you need to have this page open: http://www.neopets.com/neoboards/preferences.phtml Now go to where it says: NeoHTML In the text box titled: Enter your NeoHTML here is where you are going to add your font code! The basics: The code to change your font with neoHTML looks like this: neoHTML c=blue -- is how you change the color (c means color) s=3 -- is how you change the size (any size between 1-9 9 being really big!) f=cursive -- this is where you change the font (other font choices include: script, times, system, and modern) -- you always need to close your code! where there's a there needs to be a ! So alltogether your neoHTML will look like this: [fontc=blues=3f=cursive]neoHTML and on the chat boards you font will look like this: neoHTML Now to change your siggy: First go to where it says: NeoSignature Now go to the text box titled: "Enter your NeoSignature here This is where you add your siggy code! This is an example of a siggy code: [fontc=reds=2f=times]My siggy! Notice that it follows the same principles as the neoHTML does! So now your chat font will look like this: neoHTML ------------------------- My Siggy! Now just change the size, color, and font to make them look how you want! There are a few more tricks to making your font and siggy look good: If you want to take out your siggy line just put a [ at the and of your neoHTML and a ] at the start of your siggy HTML It will look something like this: NeoHTML: [fontc=blues=3f=cursive]neoHTML[ siggyHTML: ][fontc=blues=3f=cursive]neoHTML Bold, underline, and italics! text makes text Bold text makes text Underlined text makes text Italic The secrets of centering! To center your text you need to use the center tags text neoHTML To center your entire chat font siggy and just add the center tags like you see here: neoHTML: neoHTML neoSiggy: [fontc=blacks=3f=times]My siggy! It will look like this: ------------------------- My Siggy! To add text before your neoHTML all you have to do is add a break tag: [br] The break tag works just like your enter key! If you want more of a space then just add another break tag: [br][br] Your neoHTML will look something like this: [fontc=reds=2f=cursive]I have 100 avatars![br][br][fontc=oranges=2f=cursive]neoHTML Which would look like this on the chat boards: With one: [br] I have 100 avatars! neoHTML With two: [br][br] I have 100 avatars! neoHTML [br] can also be used in your siggyHTML! Using color #'s You can either use the name of the color: c=blue or you can use the color's number: c=0000ff For more color # choices, go here: #FFFFFF Color Codes Adding smiles and other little icons: Here are a few smilies you can try out! *yarr* *lol* *violin* *unsure* Here are a few icons: *catfish* *dung* ♦ = & diams ; without the spaces ♥ = & hearts ; without the spaces ♣ = & clubs ; without the spaces ♠ = & spades ; without the spaces Want more smilies? go here! Now for the ever popular border: ╔═╬══╬═╗ Pretty o.~ ╚═╬══╬═╝ ╚══╝ You'll need to copy this neoHTML: neoHTML: [fonts=2c=F2B559]╔══╗[br]╔═╬══╬═╗[br][br][fontf=romanc=50B7F4] neoHTML [ neoSiggy: ][br][br][fonts=2c=F2B559]╚═╬══╬═╝[br]╚══╝[br] You can make those little tiles into words too: ║║║╚╣║║║║╩╣ ║║║ ╚╝╚═╩═╩═╩═╝ ╚═╝ You do this by combining these tiles: ╔ ═ ╦ ╗ ╚ ╣ ║ ╩ ╣ ╚ ╩ ╝ So to make "I love you" siggy, just put this in your neoSiggy text box: [br][fonts=2c=F2B559]>╔╗╔╗╔═╦╦╦═╗ ╔╦╗[br]║║║╚╣║║║║╩╣ ║║║[br]╚╝╚═╩═╩═╩═╝ ╚═╝ Adding a Rainbow You can't make your neoHTML show up as a rainbow, but you can add rainbow font around your neoHTML or to your siggy! You just have to make a font tag for each color: r a i n b o w Example: r a i n b o w Inverted Siggy You'll fool a lot of people with this one! -------------- neoHTML You'll need to copy this neoHTML: neoHTML: [fontc=orange]Siggy Here![fontc=gray]--------------[br][br]neoHTML[ neoSiggy: ] Here is a list of all the fonts I know that seem to work for all users: modern fixedsys roman rockwell impact tahoma script enviro courier times system papyrus vivaldi cursive eurostile alba initial Why is this happening? Problems & Solutions! Does your font have an extra [ or ] that shows up? neoHTML[ ** neoSiggy ** This means you have an extra [ or ] bracket that is not being used in your code, so it shows up in your font. To fix this just read through your code till you find the unused bracket and delete it! Like this: [fonts=3c=da70d6f=times]neoHTML[ [fonts=2c=b0c4def=times]** neoSiggy ** Once again: for all colors go here and for all smilies go here! guest, if you know of anything I should add to this guide neomail me! wingsofire Special thanks to the following people for their great ideas and input: cutie7178, darkfaire1200 & werewolf124114 |
