On 01/23/07 update: turns out tnt has added more enemy's to the game,

you now also encounter jubjubs that are worth 1 point.
So that also changes the max score per level.
I've started to encounter the jubjubs when i was at level 5.
Others have seen them on level 2, i believe that it's random.
So the table with the max scores per level stays because you don't know how many jubjubs you'll get and when,
the Scorchios and Cybunnies haven't changed per level.
So it's safely to say that you still need those scores per level but if you got more then it's a plus ;)
The jubjubs don't get an arrow, they'll just be there so look carefully.
Since they're only worth 1 point you only have to shoot them once to destroy them :D
If you're going for the avvie the jubjubs shouldn't make a difference.
However if you're going for a trophy it might be wise to refly over the last Scorchio twice,
so that you're really sure you didn't miss a jubjub

How to get the avatar now the game has changed.
Current score to get the avatar is + 3500

I've played all levels and I was really bad at the first game.
I never got past the first level so i finally gave up on the Magax avatar.
But then neopets came with a new version of Magax.
And when i first played almost everyone got the avatar at final level 7.
You had to get 2220 points for the avatar, and a lot of people got the avatar at that point.
By the time i reached level 7 and got the score, I didn't get the avatar.
Turned out 3 new levels were added to the game.
I played 3 times, the 1st time i got 2220,
the 2nd time 3000 and the 3rd time I got the final score of 4280,
so my score is reviewed.
I think this new version is much easier then the original game.
I hope this fast guide will help you get at least the avatar and perhaps even a trophy.
The game is very simple there are only a few things that matter

What is important in the game?
There are 2 ways of playing this game,
you can go attack the ghosts from the left or the right,
I find it easier to go right when the game starts
and keep on going that way the whole game,
but if you prefer to go left it's ok.
When your power bar goes to zero you don't lose health like in the first version of the game.
The screen

If an arrow shows up at the end of the screen it means that an enemy is coming, you don't have the radar anymore but the arrow's help a lot.
If the arrow moves around really fast it means the enemy will be a Scorchio, if it stays in the same area it's a Cybunny.

The bad guys and health skull

The most important things in the game are, the health skull, the Cybunny and the Scorchio.
The health skull gives you some health back.
Scorchios are worth 10 points, Cybunnies give you 20.

Hubrid Nox

Sometimes a Cybunny changes into Hubrid Nox, unlike the 1st game Hubrid's fire balls don't hurt you!

Fire ball effect

If you've been hit by Hubrid just go back and forth for a little while until the effects wear off.
The effect immediately goes away if you grab a health skull.
Hubrid's fire spells last for 8 seconds.
The fire effect also goes away if you run into an enemy (wouldn't advise doing so ;) ).
You can't kill Hubrid Nox,
but if he changes back into a Cybunny you can kill the Cybunny.

So what does it take?

The minimum score right now is 3500, to get this score you'll need to get to level 10.
You start level 10 around 3460 (if you have killed all the Cybunnies in the previous levels),
so you only need to shoot some Scorchios on level 10.
If you're going for a trophy you should kill every thing that comes your way.
To get to a new level you need to shoot a certain amount of Scorchios,
the amount gets bigger every level.
When you've destroyed the amount of Scorchios you will go a level higher until level 10.
You almost can't get killed!
You only lose health if you touch the ghosts or Hubrid Nox,
if you do get hit by them search for a health skull and you'll regain some health.
If a Scorchio touches you with fire you don't lose health!!!
Extra info: Running into a Cybunny, Scorchio or Hurid takes one fifth of your health,
the amount you lose on the health bar doesn't look the same but it takes you five hits to get killed.
A health skull restores one fifth.
The levels 1 to 7 are really easy you don't need to worry about a thing,
the game starts really slow and gets a bit faster every level.
Level 7 is the last level you'll get health skulls in, from there on you must be very careful.
If you get to close to an enemy just go the opposite way you're going
so go back and forth a couple of times, this is very important for the last 3 levels,
because they are more difficult then the previous levels.
If you finish a level past level 7 you will start the next level with a full health bar.
If you finished level 7 you should have at least 2220 points.
In the levels 8 through 10 you won't be getting any more health skulls so keep an eye out on your health!
The most important thing in those levels is take your time.
Just take on 1 ghost at the time and you'll be fine.
Even in level 10 near the end the 3 Scorchios at the same time will attack you,
just relax and just kill them off 1 by 1.
The only problem is that once you reach level 10 the Scorchios are harder to kill, you need to shoot them more times before they die,
the Cybunnies however stay the same.
Extra info: Numbers of hits it takes to kill the scorchios: level 8: 2 times,
level 9: 3 times, level 10: 5 times.
Shoot the Scorchios when they're not breathing fire, otherwise you won't hit them!
By the time you reach level 10 you should have 3.460

How do you know if you got all the Cybunnies?
Well i shoot everything that comes my way until i only have to shoot 1 more Scorchio,
when i see that Scorchio i "fly over" it and redo the whole level making sure that i haven't missed a Cybunny.
When you see the same Scorchio again you can shoot it cause you have done the whole level again.
Others shoot all the Cybunnies first and then start to shoot the Scorchios.
If you rather do that be my guest
but I think it's more difficult because you have to "fly over" more Scorchios
and you could get yourself into trouble if you get surrounded by Scorchios.
That won't be the issue in the first couple of levels,
but when you proceed the game gets faster and it's more difficult to anticipate which way the Scorchios will be going and you might get trapped.
Either way it's your game so you must do what you think is best.
So take your time and the avatar will be yours,
and that's all there is to it :D
And the avatar will be yours

I know it sounds pretty easy and it is,
I never thought I would get this avatar, and now I'm the proud owner of it.

Here's something that helps you determine if you have killed all the Cybunnies in that level:

Level 1 max score : 180 (8 Scorchios + 5 Cybunnies)
Level 2 max score : 400 (10 Scorchios + 6 Cybunnies)
Level 3 max score : 660 (12 Scorchios + 7 Cybunnies)
Level 4 max score : 960 (14 Scorchios + 8 Cybunnies
Level 5 max score : 1300 (16 Scorchios + 9 Cybunnies)
Level 6 max score : 1720 (20 Scorchios + 11 Cybunnies)
Level 7 max score : 2220 (24 Scorchios + 13 Cybunnies)
Level 8 max score : 2800 (28 Scorchios + 15 Cybunnies)
Level 9 max score : 3460 (32 Scorchios + 17 Cybunnies)
Level 10 max score : 4280 (40 Scorchios + 21 Cybunnies)

No new info on this yet after the jubjub change.

It takes about 45 minutes to play the whole game.)
