It was the first day of school, and Hayley, Sarah, Dani, and I were all hanging out by my new locker. I put my stuff into my locker, then swung my backpack over my shoulder. "oooh, who's he?" I asked as a particulary cute guy walked by. His curls were more perfectly spiraled than mine, "I think his name is Shane." Hayley chimed. "He's hot. No, I take that back. He's perfect." "A guy like that? Don't even bother." "What are you saying?" I raised one of my just-plucked-the-day-before eyebrows. "I'm saying none of us have a chance. We're just freshman, after all." "Don't say that. In fact, I bet that I could get him to kiss me before the school year is over." "Willingly?" Dani asked. "Yeah. Duh." I rolled my eyes. "In fact, I'm willing to put money on that." I smirked. "So let me get this straight," Hayley giggled. "You're going to get a senior to kiss you willingly?" "Basically, yeah." "Are you going to get him drvnk?" Sarah gaped. "No, but I might be." I snapped. Sarah giggled, putting a hand over her mouth to stifle it. "I'm just kidding. But I am serious about the money. I'm willing to put $50 on it." "$50?
