Hello and welcome to Stellar Shields! I'm Claire, and I happy that you decided to stop by. Feel free to look around and neomail me with any questions or comments that you have. Please note that requests are closed at the moment. Sorry. ):

As far as rules are concerned, I'm fairly easygoing. I have left the watermark off as I feel the shield looks better without it. That being said, you are NOT allowed to claim that any of these shields were made by you. Also, you do not have to link back. Although, it is very appreciated and I may even thank you for doing so if I see you. c:

Updates

02/26/13: Is it a new year already? Sorry for the lack of updates, I've just been busy with my job as usual. Oh well, in case you were interested, there are four new shields up today.

12/29/12: Four new shields added today! I've gotten a few neomails requesting the location of the older shields. To be honest, I haven't decided what to do with those shields, but I may have to either update them or just repost them somewhere.

12/27/12: Well now, what is this, an update?! Behold the new Stellar Shields! I must say that I am happy to be making shields again after almost a year of hiatus. I've been meaning to update the site for a while, but I have been very busy with my job. The layout is sort of plain, but I did that on purpose with the main idea that the focus should be on the shields themselves. I'll admit, it's not my best work, but I plan on working on something else in the future. For now, my main concern is getting a better selection of shields. I hope you enjoy!

It took me a while, but I put up a how to apply section. I removed the individual copy paste boxes below the shields due to the fact that they were taking way too must space up in the coding. I know it's not as convenient, but I feel most people will be able to figure out how to apply them

FAQ

Do you take requests?
At the moment, no sorry. I'm just too busy doing other things. However, you can give suggestions as to what type of shield you would like to see.

Did you make your layouts yourself?
Yes.

Will you make me a layout?
No, again I am too busy to do that.

Will you teach me how to do graphics
I can't, I'm sorry. Trust me, I'm a terrible teacher anyway. Dx

Do I have to link back?
Nope! Although, I'd really appreciate if you would put a link back somewhere for support! ^^

Can I use your shield code and replace it with my own shield?
Yes, you are more than welcome to do this. No credit or linking back is required.

Can we be affiliates? Can I list you in my directory?
Just mail me to be affiliates as I am usually accepting them. Feel free to list me, you don't need to ask. If you do, let me know so I can link back to you.

How to apply

First off, there are two different code for you to choose from. Whichever you choose is up to you. The best thing to do would be to experiment with both to see what you like best. You only have to select one of the codes below, but NOT both.

(1) The first code does not adjust the positioning of the shield. I would recommend this code if you have a premade/custom userlookup where the borders of the user info module are invisible.

(2) Code number two shifts the shield away from the top right of the user info module. This code will keep the custom shield from looking too squished to the right. I recommend this code if you have a border of some sort around the user info box.

Code 1:

Code 2:

Once you have selected either code one or two, copy all of the code from the box and paste it in the 'About me' box section near the bottom of the page here. I recommend pasting the code near the top if you have other coding in this box already.

Now, look through the shield selection and pick a shield that suits you. You're going to want to recover the URL from the shield that you picked. In order to do that, right click on the shield that you want to use.

In Firefox, there should be an option to 'copy image location'. In chrome, you will want to select 'copy image URL'. In Safari and Opera, I believe it is 'copy image address.

Now, head back to the My Profile page and look at the base code that you pasted in the box earlier. There should be something that has a URL and says 'SHIELD HERE' within the URL. Highlight this entire URL and paste the shield code in it's place.

Be sure NOT to select and delete the quotations as it will not enable the code to work properly! Now save your code and, viola! I hope that these instructions were not too daunting to figure out. If you are having any sort of issue, feel free to neomail and I'll do my best to help you!
