Welcome to Chokato, a Neopian adoption agency. We board a number of different sorts of neopets until they find very suitable homes. Chokato opened officially May 24th 2008 and since then has found some great home for pets. Our directory of pets is always growing and we do continue to find great homes where the pets are loved more than they we're before.

Our Mission

To give all neopets the love and care they deserve through safe adoption programs
This means that all foster parents will carefully decide where to put their pets, to make sure that they will never have to go through this pain and neglect again.

Fostering your Pet

If you would like to foster you pet in Chokato then we have some small procedure to follow. First off neomail me . In the title of the neomail is Chokato, use this form to submit your pet and he/she will be listed when I get around to it.

Sort of pets

Due to space concerns we only allow so many pets in the adoption agency. These pets include;
Battledome pets must have 50+ hp
Painted pets any colours other than red, yellow, blue and green (unless limited edition)
Limited edition pets Poogle, koi, draik, krawk, grundo, tonu, etc.
Well named pets No numbers (123..) or underscores (_)

Applying

Due to the new rule, foster parents can no longer Require petpage applications, however I will tell you that in making a petpage application you will for the most part have a better chance of becoming the new owner as it shows creative sides of the owner and it lets the foster parent see what you can do and how much dedication you will put in!

Tips on applying

Be literate: Do not use CH@TSP34K.
Get the Gender right: refer to the pet with his/her proper gender.
Talk about you: What do you do online_ on neopets? What do you do offline as well? Are you too busy to keep this pet? prove it!
Neopets family:Hows your neopets family? Are you dedicated to your pets? Have they won any trophies or do they have work done on their petpages, or are they just there to take up space?
You accounts:Talk about your accounts. Including side accounts, main account. Include if you have had warning of have been frozen in the past. if so then why?
Pet personality: everyone and every pet has their own personality. What is the personality of the pet your are applying for? Are they shy? angry? scared? heroic?
Stories: Write a story including the pet, showing off their personality and everything
Roleplay: Many foster parents like to see good roleplay!
art: draw the pet in unique poses. Art is typically a deal maker or breaker! If you cannot draw then stick to stories and make them shine!
Likes and Dislikes: What does the pet like and dislike?
Promises: never ever promise anything you won't do, like feed the pet everyday, or play with them, or win a super cool award you don't show any talent for.
Futur: what do you plan on doing with the pet? petpage? Awards? petlookup?
Why you: why should you be the owner? and why do you want this pet?
petpet: will they have a little friend?
