Basics

Let's begin with the basics so that you learn how to play.

If this all seems confusing to you, don't worry, everything will be further explained in detail.

Getting Started

Remember to read slowly so that you don't miss anything,
If you accidentally skip some information it may cause you to lose at the game!

Life

If your candle is shown like this image you have all three of your lives.

If your candle is shown like this image you have two lives.

And lastly, if your candle looks like this you better be careful because you're on your last life!

Well now you know what that confusing candle thing is in the top left corner, time to move onto that bar with all that food on it.

The bar shown above is what Albert needs to collect in the level. Once you find an item on the list it will become filled in and look all bright and pretty. After collecting all the items on the bar, you automatically get moved on to the next level.

Items

There are five different kinds of items the game asks you to retrieve. Their pictures are below.

Yep, those are the five basic items you will collect throughout the game, each item is worth 10 points.

Extra Items

Yes there are also four other items that are optional to obtain before leaving the level. There may be more than one of them in the room so look for all the ones you want.

This is a good item.
When obtaining this item it will make Albert
quicker!

This is another good item.
When using this item it will
increase your lantern level!

This item is one you should avoid
at all costs: this will decrease
Albert's speed.

This is another item to avoid
at all costs: this will decrease
your lantern level. ):

All the items above also give you 10 points.
Tip: If you are on the 6th level with only a few points to go, it may be easier for you to pick up the bad items.

Enemies

There are four different types of monsters you should avoid and kill. Don't know how to kill? Keep reading further into the guide!

These guys are tricky because they can turn into plain tombstones, the difference between them is their face disappeared and their eyebrows go up to make a point and they usually don't stand in the line like the rest of the tombstones.

The ghosts are another tricky and hard to kill enemy in this game. Be careful; since they are ghosts, they can float through tombstones as you're trying to kill them. Contrary to most people's beliefs, you are able to kill these ghosts.

These guys are pretty quick, but as long as you're not slower than you should be, you can out beat them.

These guys are fairly simple, they hop to get where they want to go, so they can't out run you.

Killing the monsters

As stated previously, killing a monster is worth 50 points. It is recommended that you kill every monster in the level, but if it seems impossible, it is also okay to skip a few.

To kill a monster you need to be on the other side of a plain tombstone and knock it on top of them using the spacebar. Make sure they're on the other side of the tombstone before pressing the spacebar because these tombs disappear after they hit the ground.

Below there are two pictures to help you understand what tombs you can hit and what will happen when you do so.

Remember you knock the tombs down by pressing the space bar and if there is an enemy infront of the tomb it will kill them.

Cheats

At this moment in time there are no known cheats for this game.

Level guides

Some of you who have restarted the game countless times before you can never seem to get high enough for the avatar may have noticed that the format of the levels are always the same.

First thing you should always do is go around killing the enemies, then go down to the very bottom left hand corner of the map, and start making your way right staying as close to the bottom as possible, if you see an item you need venture off to get it but return to the bottom and continue around the map in a circle.
