Hello! This is Aegis' webbie. What is Aegis? Aegis is a literate, Percy Jackson roleplay. But why the name Aegis? Aegis is the name of Thalia Grace's, daughter of Zeus, shield. On it is the head of Medusa. Medusa is a monster with snakes for hair, a myth in Greek Mythology says that if you look in her eyes you will turn to stone. Percy Jackson is a five books series by Rick Riordan. The books are set in modern times with a twist of Greek mythology. We're talking gods, goddess, Cyclops, hippocampi, pegasi, you name it. In these books we read about the adventures of Percy Jackson and the other young half-bloods of camp. Anyways, Aegis is a great active guild where everyone is included and is pretty close. We love the books and what we do!

Aegis is a literate, semi-private, roleplaying Percy Jackson guild founded by Aly and Lindsey [xxsimplicityxx] on December 20, 2010. Aly passed the torch down so now the guild is run by Lindsey.

Rules

This is the rules section of the layout. I know, rules stink. But if we didn't have them, there sure would be chaos. Just follow them please. You will stay out of trouble and isn't that what you want?

.001. Be literate on the message boards. Why literate? Well first off we are a literate guild so it would only make sense that we are literate on our message boards. Literacy also ensures us that the conversations and comments are readable by everyone. A few abbreviations here and there are acceptable. Emoticons too. This rule isn't too hard. If you don't know if you're being literate read over what you wrote and ask yourself if it's something you can turn into your teacher (grammar wise, not content wise).

.002. Save your drama for your llama. No one wants to put up with drama. Take it elsewhere because it is not welcomed here. I mean who wants to be apart of a drama filled guild? Not I. Be the bigger person in a situation. I know it may not be fun, but it's the best thing to do. Remember, the users here are people just like you who have feelings that matter just like yours do.

.003. Don't have anymore than three posts in a row. We don't want any spammers. How do you avoid this? Try not to post one-liners if you're trying to start a conversation. It's not to say one-liners are forbidden, it's just can be harder to reply to them.

.004. When posting on the guild board be literate. We are a literate guild so it'd be greatly appreciated if you could be literate when posting on our guild board. A message in chatspeak is like a message that needs to be decoded, and no one wants to spend time doing that. If your teacher were to see it would they feel the urge to throw a grammar book in your face? That is the question to ask yourself before you post something.

.005. Follow TNT's rules. Do I really have to go into this one? We all don't want to be iced, am I right? Stick to their rules because they have the power to ice you. No inappropriate content, blah, blah, blah. TNT has has the tendency to be unforgiving when it comes to their rules. Just follow them.

.006. Follow the rules of Aegis. This is a given to be in the guild. Just follow them and we'll all get along. Simple as that.

.007. The most important rule...HAVE FUN! I mean when you join a guild it's because you want to have fun. Don't think these rules prevent you from having fun. This is the one rule we expect everyone to follow!

Ranks

As you proceed and advance in the guild, you move up ranks. Here are the following ranks you may obtain.

Undetermined This is the starting rank. Apply for a cabin to gain a rank.

Determined Congrats. You now have been claimed. Not only have you been claimed but you've also made at least 25 posts.

New Your new to the camp, not many friends or anything. You have 200 posts and been in the guild for a week.

Regular Come here often? I believe so. Welcome to the ranks of a camper who knows what they're doing. You have 500 posts.

Cabin Head You've shown your leadership skills, have applied for Cabin Head, and have been accepted. Congrats are in order. Keep up the good work!

Cabins

There is different cabins for each important god. The Big Three are Zeus(God of Lightning), Poseidon(God of Water), and Hades(God of the Underworld). The other gods are Apollo(God of Prophecy), Ares(God of Battle), Dionysus(God of Wxne), Hermes(The God Messenger), and Hephaestus(God of Blacksmith). The goddesses are Aphrodite(Goddess of Beauty), Athena(Goddess of Wisdom), and Demeter(Goddess of Harvest). Hera and Artemis are important goddesses but they don't have affxirs with mortals. This information is on the roleplay form as well.
