We are pleased to inform you that you have a place at the Something Wicked branch of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Please find enclosed a list of our school rules, an explanation of our year qualifications and history, and a class listing. If you have questions, please take a moment to look at the FAQs. If your questions are not answered, send an owl and your questions will be answered as soon as I am able.
Thank you for your interest in Something Wicked. Below are the rules you are expected to adhere to while enrolled at our school.
- Treat others as you wish to be treated. We do not tolerate trolling, bullying, name calling, or drama starting under any circumstances.
- Be friendly. If someone is in the Great Hall and wishes to join a conversation, let them. It is unkind to ignore or be rude to your fellow students.
- Please be aware of your literacy at all times. We are a semi-literate guild. Please be mature and coherent with your posts and owls.
- Do not spam the boards. Our definition of spam is posting more than three times in a row.
- Each of your posts must be at least three words in length. Proper sentences are preferred.
- The sorting quiz must be taken within a week of your arrival at the school, or the Headmistress will sort you into the house of her choosing.
Failure to adhere to these rules will result in consequences depending on the severity. Howlers, detention (suspension), or even expulsion from the school can occur.

Something Wicked was originally created by Melody and Savannah on June 21, 2011. The school was very lively and had many actively enrolled students. Unfortunately, the Muggle world soon called a number of students, as well as Headmistress Melody, away from their wizarding duties. Those who were still present in the wizarding community helped Savannah recreate the school into the wonderful community it is today. On December 2, 2011, Something Wicked opened its doors in its new location, where it has been ever since. Karla, Kelly and Michelle, are students who have been with the school from its founding and will be fondly remembered in our Trophy Room for all their hard work and dedication.
Classes are not currently in session. Please review the class listing for classes that will be available soon.
- Advanced Magic
- Care of Magical Creatures
- Defense Against the Dark Arts
- Muggle Studies
- Ghoul Studies
What does it mean to be traditional Harry Potter guild?
We follow as closely to the wizarding world as possible, with no deviations. You will be sorted into a house, receive a wand, and enroll in classes just as you would at Hogwarts. You will also compete against the other Houses in events like Quidditch and the House Cup.
I just joined and my sorting hat answers won't send or are too long. How can I get them to you?
If this happens with your answers, you may either send it by multiple owls, or put your answers on a petpage and send Savannah an owl with the link.
Do I have to be a certain age to join?
No, there is no age requirement to this guild. We welcome everyone into our guild provided they are able to adhere to our literacy and maturity rules.
Are there any members that are in my timezone?
We are currently undergoing a revamp in which many members are being swept for being inactive. We hope to enroll many members in all time-zones soon!
Current Time Zones Represented: Central and Eastern Standard Time and Australia (NST+17)
Do you hold 1np auctions?
Yes, we normally host 1np auctions around holidays or near the end of our semesters.
Will this guild ever change to private?
Unless there is a reason forcing Something Wicked to close its doors to the general public, we will continue to welcome all students.
