Okay, so you want to learn how to restock. Good, here I have composed a guide to the way I myself restock. I will also throw in MANY helpful tips from my good friends over at the Restock and Chat in the Premium Boards. First things first, in order to START restock you have to have a shop to restock in. This here is your decision and no on can really help you with it other than giving you a few helpful suggestions to what may restock in the shop and how rare most of the items are. First of all, all the shops will restock on the same minute. Contrary to popular belief The shops do not stock at random, the shops stock in numerical order, later on I will list that order and the time they restock, but for now that's all you need to know. I will give you a few abbreviations that will get you right into any restock chat. To begin, restock or rs is the buying and selling of neopian items to gain profit. When you get a nice buy you will usually get a response such as 'GJ' (Good Job) or 'NJ' (Nice Job) this usually with what is written when there is another restock coming or a user just is too lazy to type it all out. lol. Next this is another word you will tend to see a lot: UB (UnBuyable) this means that that certain itsm labeled UB is unable to be purchased in the neopian Shop Wizard and you have to go to the Trading Post for the items value. Finally one of the most fun abbreviations in rs speak is HPD (Half Price Day) this is the 3rd day of EACH month. This is a day were all the items in the stores of the Neopian universe are half price. A GREAT day to restock.

When picking a shop you want to pick a shop that people want items from. You also are looking for shops with fewer amounts of people in them so you have a better chance of getting the item you want. The best shops to start out in, or so I have been told, are Pharmacy, Chocolate, and Book. This is because you can make at least a small profit on almost everything in those shops. After you pick your shop you may want to sit back for a few restocks and find out what exactly in your shop is worth a couple of bucks and what is the reject things that sit and rot in the store. You may also want to check prices of items using the Shop Wizard, or Super Shop Wizard (if you're a premium member). After you have this pretty much down pat it is time to move on to step 2...Haggling.

Haggling. To haggle is to argue the price of an item...think of a garage sale. You are selling something for $2, the person suggests you sell for $1. That person is haggling with you. Now on neopets it's a little different because the shopkeepers aren't always as nice, and if the item is rare enough you really don't have much time to haggle. How do we solve this problem? Simple. Don't differ too far from the original price. Take the image below...

The shopkeeper will give you an original price and a haggle box like the image above. Your goal is to get a ballpark price that is the lowest you think you can go, in the fastest amount of time. So you try easy to type numbers like: 14444, 14141, 13500, 14500, 14000, and so on. I personally like numbers that end in zero so at the end of the night the only reason that last digit would have changed is some random event. once you have your number...

...it's time for the dreaded...Click A Pet.

This is the part of Restocking that makes a lot of people angry, Neo doesn't like to make it easy all the time to actually find this 'pet'. Just take a look at some of the examples below:

As you can see, a lot of the time you can just see the pet in plain view. There will be time however, when you are haggling and will miss a GREAT item all because you just couldn't find that pet in time. I have lost MANY nice items because of that stupid pet. Then again, none of us want Neo to bring back the code *insert scary music here* In general, you shouldn't ever have too much problems finding the pet. Another good tip is to practice haggling and finding the pet BEFORE you start restocking, it gives you a little more edge when you finally get into the game. Now that you have all that down pat, you are ready to begin restocking!

***Please note that the restock system has recently changed, and there are no longer set times for the shops to restock. The shops now restock completely randomly- no longer in any specific order, or at any specific time.***

Once you get a hang of restocking...ANYTHING is possible:

I just wanted to say thanks for visiting, and if you found this petpage helpful, please link back to me so others can find it as well ^^:
