Avatar Loaning Guidelines

  • PMC Avatar Lending Program is only for PMC guild members.
  • All items are lent with full collateral only. The collateral amount listed is firm. Collateral means that items are not lent for free and that the amount of neopoints outlined for that item/items are required for the loan. Collateral amount may change at any time without any prior notification. Prices used for collateral are gathered from the trading post and the shop wiz.

    Loaners

  • It is STRONGLY recommended that lenders and borrowers exchange neomails beforehand clearly stating that the item is to be loaned for an avatar and is not permanent, especially for pet transfers!
  • It is requested that Lenders be PMC members for at least one month and have a ranking of Executive Level 2 or higher.
  • It is recommended that you not loan any items without the full collateral. This is for your protection. It is also recommended to handle avatar loaning through the trading post so as to reduce the risk of items disappearing.
  • As prices change all the time on neopets, please be sure that before lending out any high end items that the amount of collateral requested is in line with current neopets pricing. Again for the lenders protection.

    Borrowers

  • You may send neomails to any of the persons listed for the avatar lending. You are expected to handle yourself in a polite and respectable manner. Loaners do not have to loan to anyone they do not want to. Borrowing items does require the full amount of collateral listed. Do not ask lenders to reduce this amount. If this happens you will be ban from participating in the avatar program altogether.
  • All neopoints will be returned in full when the items are returned as they were lent out. If you are unable to return the item/items for any reason, your neopoints will not be returned.
  • It is up to the discretion of each lender to lend their items. This means that a person whose name is listed for loaning does not have to loan to anyone they do not want to.
  • Items being lent are only loaned and not meant as a purchase. Items that are kept longer than 24 hours will be assumed that they are not being returned. If this happens, your neopoints that were given as collateral will be used, by the lender, to repurchase that item.
  • It is STRONGLY recommended that lenders and borrowers exchange neomails beforehand clearly stating that the item is to be loaned for an avatar and is not permanent, especially for pet transfers!

    Pets, Petpets, and Petpetpet Avatars

  • With the new transfer option of the pound, it is recommended that all avatar pet lending be done via the "Transfer" option.
  • The exceptions to this are the Angelpuss and Meowclops, as they only require attaching and viewing pet lookup and need not be aged.
  • This means your account must be at least four months old and you may only request one a month.
  • Lending is absolutely only at the owner's discretion. The pets here are for lending ONLY. If you are looking for a pet to own, try the guild adoption agency!
  • Please note that pets may only be transferred once a month so there may be a long wait. If the first person you neomail has already transferred a pet this month, you might want to neomail the next person on the list and so on.
  • Lent pets are expected to be returned AS IS. This means no removing the petpets (which are often there for the avatars) or any clothing items they may have. If they are not, you will be permanently banned from the guild! Please read and follow the guild rules here! (Note to lenders: It is recommended you remove all clothing items from a pet before lending it.)
  • It is STRONGLY recommended that lenders and borrowers exchange neomails beforehand clearly stating that the item is to be loaned for an avatar and is not permanent, especially for pet transfers!
  • If you wish to be added to the list of lenders, please send a neomail to me, anarinnomiko, and include the name(s) of the pet(s) you wish to lend. Avatar petpets will only be considered if they meet the age requirements (e.g., 100 days for a Slorg).
