Greetings, visitor, and welcome to my Krawk Project! In this page, you will be able to read all about my future plans for a lovely Unconverted tyrannian krawk, why I dream to own this kind of pet one day and my status of what I am doing to achieve my goal.

Summary

I once was chosen to adopt a UC Ty Krawk, but he was originally stolen and was traded around many, many times before he ended up with me. After two weeks TNT took Mr Krawk away from me and froze him. Since then, I am trying to get another one.
AND I WILL NEVER EVER GIVE UP!

Starting July the 16th 2012

The Beginning

On the last week of March, 2012, an unconverted tyrannian krawk was put up for quick adoption on the Pound Chat. The moment I laid my eyes on him, I was completely in love. I don't remember seeing an UC Tyrannian Krawk before that day, so I was intensely amazed by their fine art. I must apply for this pet! I told myself. And that's what I did. On this page I will be referring to him as K.

The applicants didn't have much time for the app. The process was only about four days long, and the foster was actually expecting very simple applications for him. I have never applied for unconverted pets before so I didn't know how to, so I asked advice on the Pound Chat. People told me to go crazy with art, code an insane petpage and sell my kidney to get the pet, even more so an app for a high-tier pet. I didn't quite believe that, or at least didn't want to. Because I did not know how to code petpages, or I didn't have the top digital art and I'm not popular, people said that was best for me to give up and not apply at all. But, seriously? I didn't asked for help to be discouraged, so I just ignored all this "advice" and decided that I would apply for the dinosaur anyway!

I am good with drawing, it's my biggest pleasure and actually I want to work illustrating books. A friend suggested that I make my app with drawings, because that's what I am really good at. I don't like unoriginal things, so I was really aiming to do a creative and very different kind of app so I worked on this idea and decided to make a "comic application".

Despite the fact I am quite fast at drawing, making comics is rather tiring. Too many repetitive and rather small drawings. Not to mention that I have to draw everything doubled, since I first draw in pencil and then I draw on top of it with ink pen (and then erase the pencil). My comic was four A4 paper sheets long, taking three days to draw it all. I decided to then paint it with watercolor: pretty, delicate and way faster. I only had one day to finish my application! I didn't had much free time due to my university, so I was really running against time through the whole app process. On the deadline, beginning at midnight on my time but about 8PM NST, I took then two hours to edit the premade layout of the page (colors, backgrounds, pictures and introductory text) and to add the dialogues to the drawings. I finished at about 2h30 AM, insanely exhausted but very, very proud of my page. In my opinion, it was absolutely beautiful.

I have left my page just like I linked to the previous foster so you can actually read it if you want, as it is located here, but before you read it, notice that I mention that my main account was permanent silenced.
On February the 19th, 2012, I received a permanent silence for actually doing absolutely nothing, but for supposedly "harassing/threatening people", which I could never do. I was devastated, because I love to chat with my friends via neomail or in my guild, not to mention that the PC is my true home, even though I rarely trade pets. Being said, I used my side account fritzmuller to communicate with the rest of the world, but I had faith that my main would be unsilenced. On May the 7th TNT finally unsilenced my main account! Luckily I was alone at home otherwise people would have seen me dancing madly across the entire house, jumping and screaming of joy, hahaha!

Anyway, after sending in my app, about 4 days passed from the deadline and no news of the results. I did send a mail asking when she would decide the dino's new home, but got no reply. On April the 6th, I receive a mail from the girl. Thinking that it was the answer to my previous messages, for my surprise it wasn't; she was actually telling me that I would be K's next owner!!!! I was in. shock. I could not believe that that was actually happening! I was sitting in front of the computer, astonished, jaw dropped on the floor, haha!! Didn't actually knowing what to do next! The owner had made even a topic on the PC announcing the winning application and there it was, my page linked, "her shinning star" as she described it. I couldn't be prouder of myself!!!!

My dearest Krawky was transferred to my side account so I could edit his lookup and petpage. I immediately went on a shopping spree for his NP customization items, such as lots of backgrounds, frames, foregrounds and trinkets!! Edited his lookup, found lots of adoptables to add to his page and was planning on entering him in the beauty contest when my exams would be over. I couldn't be more happy!!!! I couldn't never believe that it was indeed happening to me.

However, when I posted on some topics the next few days, with Mr K as active pet, people started telling me that he was stolen. Some even accused me of buying him off-site, which was very offensive and made me terribly sad and angry. A girl actually stated that she was the legit owner, being a bit rude to me, as if I was the hacker or something like that. I was scared, and sad. I didn't knew if that was true, so I contacted the girl who had adopted him out to me. She said that wasn't aware of this and was worried too, because she didn't wanted me to have an illegitimate pet. But, the thing is: she was gifted him. Thus, it's very logical to think that the guy who gifted K to her knew that the pet wasn't legit.

Of course, gifting him was very easy to not have the account compromised. Let the others deal with it, isn't it? Well, K ended up in my hands, after all. I couldn't even look at him without being completely devastated, knowing that he would probably be taken from me and that he shouldn't be here. I wasn't happy to own something that was not really "mine". I sent a ticket to TNT asking about his real history and legitmacy, stating that I had just adopted him, with screenies of everything, and that people were accusing of him being stolen.

After a week, on April the 20th, I received a mail from TNT stating that he was, indeed, stolen, and that he was returned to the rightful owner (and then frozen, I don't really know why). I ended up with no krawk at all, no trading fodder, no pets to try to slowly trade up (because I adopted out all the pets that weren't permanent after that I adopted the Krawk), nothing. The previous owner couldn't do much about it, that's true, but at least I am very thankful that TNT didn't thought that me and her was actually taking part of all this mess.

Why UC Ty Krawk?

Well it is a bit obvious that I am trying to trade or adopt another krawk to replace the one that was taken from me. Not that I think a pet is replaceable. I really do wish I could have that particularly krawk, but oh well, that's not possible anymore.

Anyway, why specifically an Unconverted Tyrannian Krawk, you might ask?

First of all, I adore dinosaurs. As silly as it can be, since 7th grade I wished for a dinosaur that I could take care of, play with and especially ride to school, haha! I am very interested in them not for their history or fossils and such, but the colossal stature they reached and the incredible diversity of species amazes me the most. In my opinion the world would be way more exciting and fun if there were special (and secure!) zoos with Triceratops! When I was a kid, I had this Parasaurolophus toy that I would take with me everywhere. Due to these lots of trips that I used to take my dino to, I ended up losing him at a beach ;_; Since then, they are by far my favorite dinosaur.

Tyrannian krawks are not entirely similar to them, though. They only copy their pose, a bit of their body (and their happy essence, at least for me). The old Krawk is like Spinosaurus. But to me, their open mouth and big eyes doesn't make them raptor like, but more cute and adorable than ever! In my view they look happy and loveable, rather than ready to attack.

Since I love to draw, the pet's art is the thing that I most pay attention. I am a perfectionist with pets designs (and any other art at all) so if a certain species+color combo has got only one tiny anatomical characteristic that isn't right, in my opinion, I will never settle down. But oh, the unconverted tyrannian krawk is the best pet ever drawn! Just to analyze their art gives me thrills!
A slim body which curves and lines smooths from the top of the head to the point of the tail; the shading that makes their legs and body beautifully round; the tail with movement, up in the air and in front of the pet, as if he just turned; the big shiny eyes but tiny iris and pupil, not staring directly to the viewer, indicating movement and concentration; the thick thighs, suggesting a very strong pet; the lack of yellow claws on their feet, unlike the new tyrannian krawks; and most important of all, the icing of the cake: their lovely grin, expressing either surprise, happiness or even anger. Come on, they ar elike The Gioconda/Monalisa of Neopets!! Depending of your mood, spirit and personality, you feel the krawk different. I'm a happy person, I always view them as happy, but many others can see them as fierce lizards. Seriously, the artist that drew this krawk should be awarded.

I love unconverted tyrannian krawks. I'm not even kidding. There will never be any other pet that I wish so much to draw and own in my neolife. They are absolutely stuning. I am not aiming for an unconverted pet because they are rare, sought after or attention-grabbing.
If this type of krawk were the brown moehogs of the Neosociety, in terms of value, I would still dedicate all the time I spend on this site to get one.

The day that I got the {ilegit} krawk was one of the most glorious and exciting Neodays I've ever had, if not the most. For the next few days {that I wasn't still aware of his possible dark history} I couldn't stop day-dreaming with him and just thinking: Wow. I own the most beautiful krawk ever. Me, Aruana!!!!!! Who could have imagined that?! I wouldn't, haha! It was certainly a dream come true, even with the unfortunate event behind it after.

Can you imagine the feeling when I get a Krawk that I can surely say that he IS indeed mine? I honestly can't!!!!

Phil

My original thought and plans for the personality of my tyrannian krawk is way different than a regular tyrannian pet. Very inspired by the Parasaurolophus's cute and naïve face! Phil, as I am going to call him, for now and if I get a pet with an unpronounceable name, has got a plushie soul: cuddleable, cute, soft, comforting. Why in the world should we be judged by our appearances? Not all tyrannians are salvages, raptors and predators (just like not all plushies are good and pure of heart). They perhaps are "supposed" to be like that, it might be in their blood, but they don't need to follow all Nature's rules.

It's not because you have big and sharp teeth and claws that you must be a carnivorous predator. As a matter of fact, Phil is vegetarian. He really hates when people judge by appearences and he will defend freedom and free will with all his strength. His greatest passion is to grow and take care of plants, flowers and especially his little spice garden. Plants and trees are as much complex than vertebrates and have as much feeling than such animals. I once read that they can even scream in pain (but with toxins, not actual sound.)! By the way, if you are thinking that I'm very strange for talking about plants toxin's, you will learn why in my about me section, haha!

Anyway, back to the story. Phil's best and greatest companion is a little Niptor called Thrim. Thrim is a Dwarf Name, and just like a dwarf, Thrim loves dirt, rocks and boulders. He enjoys singing too, low pitched kind of musics, with lots of drumming and the sound of hammers smashing metal. However, Thrim doesn't have long and grey beards as a dwarf, but he really enjoys salted pork and a cold currant juice to go with it just like a typical tiny fellow.

Thus, Thrim and Phil are opposites. The little niptor is always trying to convince Phil to come to the dark side of the food chain! and surrender to the joys and pleasure of fresh meat. But Phil is very certain of his virtues and decisions so his petpet usually loses the discussion about veganism in the end. Nonetheless, they are inseparable. When this beautiful friendship begun, they could not tell me, but I am sure it doesn't have an end. I personally think that the relationship between a petpet and its owner is one of the main things behind a happy pet. Sometimes we adults don't understand very well the animal behaviour and can't help much when they pass through difficult times, about random things such as why that canned food isn't so tasty as before.

Phily's second biggest passion is his dear Spice Garden. He is always taking care of it, making sure all his favorite parsley are well nourished and growing healthy. By the way, parsley is his favorite snack and you can easily find him munching a bunch of this tasty leafy stalk!
To take care of plants is very relaxing and therapeutic, so while he is plowing the dirt and watering the seeds, a peace aura growns about him and Phil is the most angelical dinosaur that you will ever meet! Not that he is usually stressed, oh no don't get me wrong! He is actually very peaceful by nature; but everyone has got those times of bad hair (or scales) days that we only want to curl up in bed and never leave anymore, right? While some shout to their pillows when stressed, Phil likes to grow his spice.

Despite the fact he is very caring and loveable, Phil can't imagine living inside any kind of house, even with his friends or family. You may call him claustrophobic or social awkward but it's not like that: The walls are the very symbol of oppression: opposing, forcing, blocking the way! And that, my friend, Phil is so very against! He defends and supports avidly the freedom, the free will of every living being of the Earth! Already mentioned that he loves nature, plants and trees, so the Forest is where his heart really lies; where he can run freely, scratch trees, drink water from the gurgling waterfalls and just be at peace.

Phil doesn't like when things need to be forced, so he doesn't even like when his tyrannian and krawk instincts tell him to hunt other animals and do other predator things. He decided to live a vegetarian life a few years ago; instead of little mammals and rodents, this peculiar krawky will collect every vegetable, foliage and fruit that he can find. And if he doesn't find, he will grow them by himself. Of course he still need proteins, so soybeans are part of his daily menu. Eggs, cheese and warm milk are still on his diet, though. He just loves a piece of carrot omelette for breakfast!!

In spite of all this, Phil is mysterious and quite shy. He will speak with you so closely, almost whispering, that rather than a normal conversation, others will think that you two are sharing a very private and important information. He's got a nice voice to listen to, and sometimes you can listen to him humming old Dwarves songs while preparing a salad. Don't be discouraged to talk to him, though! Despite the fact he's not the most talkative dinosaur out there, his true and pure words, directly from his heart, will make you comfortable and at peace.

Dressing up!

Although Phil is not the most fashionist pet out there, I adore to make him wear the finest clothes and acessories in all Neopia! He doesn't mind at all, and he likes that I care about his appearence. He enjoys visiting all these different places and taking photos on them to show to other people.

The Hidden Beach

This little shore is right outside the forest Philly lives. Thrim and him often visit this beach to get warm under the sun and play with the sand. The feeling of it between their toes is really tickling! This outfit is for hot and sunny days, when life is smiling at you and everything feels fine! *dances the hula*

Krawk Glade

Sometimes Phil likes to visit his sibling and greatest friend Kiikiw. He likes to stay in this bright green glade under the great willow tree. To find him is difficult, though, because he hides himself very fast, and you have to jump and avoid fallen trees and obstacles on the road. (But that green moss is actually pretty cute, isn't it?)

After cleaning himself, before leaving Kii's home, Phil poses for a picture on the most beautiful part of the forest. Lots of tiny flowers grow around here, and curly vines. Smile for the camera!

Spring time

This adorable and lovely garden we can often find the Ladies of our family, having a great time together chatting and laughing with the birds. Their lovely voices echoes through the garden and the faerie bottles makes a twinkle sound when the wind pass by them, or when they bump each other occasionally. "Don't worry, girls; I won't interrumpt your tea time, I'm just passing by!" *sniffs flower*

High above the sky

."What am doing up here?! Wait, why am I not falling..?"
Don't worry, Phil! You're in Faerieland! These clouds can support even castles and a whole village; you are safe here! The fluffy and swiflty clouds pass between Phill's claws while Shells flies around him, with his ukali pet. This is the stage of various games of the winged members of our family! They fly after each other, do races and dive into the clouds. The fresh air is perfect for Phil meditate a little.

Bwahahaha!

Ooh, it's dark out here! These are dangerous paths that we sometimes have to take if we are travelling by night. If we take too long on a visit and must return to the village, this cold, creepy road we will walk on! The once pretty vines now are scary looking like grabby hands ready to attack! *shivers* Good thing that Phil is a huge dinosaur and very strong and corageous. We are always safe with him!

Words of Wisdom

Who let the dinosaur into the library?!! Watch out to not break anything with your long tail, Phily! This fantastic room belongs to darling Saeianess. The fair Lady knows each one of these books, and she will lend them to you if you want to learn new things. Shells is always here, for example! Phil is seeking a garden encyclopedia today!

Gold Ivy Leaves

Isn't this the most gorgeous place on Earth? The sun is absolutely stunning! Gold waves dances in the air until they reach your skin and warms your heart! This beautiful place is a hidden secret and no one can find it unless they know where it is located. Only for standing here for a couple of minutes and all the sickness and sadness will go away for never to return. This blessed glade is Phil's favorite place to relax. This is where they found Thrim's lightmite too!

Elvish Castle

Okay, I feel a bit out of place here... This is Glorietes elvish palace. Nitefhall resides here too, although on a different level, more distant from the entrance. The cherry blossoms sweetens the air through all the year and you will have this delicious perfume for a week at least after your visit! But let's not stay long, as too much purple and pink burns Phil's eyes..

Berries Path

OMG! Berries!! This casual real Pick-Your-Own is located in the Village, where Shells, Lessolay, Yaessu and Mokana lives. Kind of distant from the center of Brightvale, this path leads to the other regions of the South: Hobbiton (which between you will find Lialya and her fields of flowers) and The Elvish and Wild Forests. Along this dusty road there will be tons of fresh fruit trees and fields. Feel free to taste the berries! I'm sure Phil will save some for you... If you can run faster than him, hahah!

The country side

Welcome to Hobbiton! This pacific village is very well-known by our family. Tukoir resides here, harvesting (and eating) his vegetables. Phil is very dear to Tuk and he is always being invited to that little bunny's hobbit hole for a cup of tea. They get along very well together and this is one of Phil's favorites places and pictures of him! Sometimes, when wandering around the dusty roads you might find Blestrox singing under some trees. He always talks in rhymes so it will be a pleasure musical meeting!

Snowflakes keep falling upon my head!

It sure is cold here, wow! But isn't snow gorgeous? Amazingly white, these snowflakes often find themselves eaten by this happy dinosaur! Phil really likes to play on the snow. His thick and strong skin and scales don't allow his body warmth to go away, therefor cold isn't a problem! These outfit is for the days that you feel like a snowbunny in the mountains! Jumping around happily while the others are shivering with all the ice under their feet!

Rainy days

Oh no, what a storm! Very similar to the dark path, this creepy-looking graveyard is not the most friendly place to be at midnight! However, it is necessary to help others that are in need. Saeianess often goes to wars and Phil is always ready to help, even if there are lightnings and fericious roaring up in the grey heavy clouds!

Scary cave?

This ain't scary cave at all! This is Tulips home! Alright, it is not the most welcoming place at all, but hey, at least he let you visit him, yes? Tulip is not social at all and he dislikes visits, but at least once in a lifetime Phil must meet his sibling, isn't it? No one knows what exactly that red foggy mist is made of or where is it from, but either way it gives a nice effect for our photograph.

The witches are on the streets!

This is halloween, this is halloween! Creepy dark Neovia is the place to wander in October the 31st! Phil didn't had a costume this year but he is planning to dress up as a ghost of some sort in the next witches day! The pumpkins give a nice happy touch to the scene, in my opinion!

We have reached the end of our album! I hope you had fun observing lovely Phil smile for the camera in these pictures! We sure add more each and every time we discover a new place or buy a new clothe, so don't forget to check out again! On the other hand, Phil changes his customization very often so you can even visit him in his own home to see what's the new fashion he is wearing :)

Thrim's friend

This fabulous niptor follows Phil everywhere, so he will also be present on the places you have just see! Remember the Golden Secret glade, though? On that magical forest, Thrim found a friend for himself too! Idrilla, the bright lightmite is her name. She is a delicate golden insect that was very fond of Thrim after he didn't eat her..! Thrim was actually scared about a bug that glowed, but let's not tell her that or this niptor will get angry at us! (Imagine that: a wild, ferocious petpet scared of a bug? How embarrassing!)
Anyhow, Thrim and Idrilla are now friends, and obviously Phil and Idrilla are too. She was enchanted by Phil's tremendous grace and kindness and is now one of his most fans!

Thrim and Idrilla are a very pretty pair. They match altogether and matches with Phil's personality and appearence.

However, since Idrilla joined the party, we are pondering about giving Thrim a brand new look too. The island costume makes him way more yellow, matching Idrilla's gorgeous glass wings and golden light; not to mention Thrim's new green eye contacts are stunning! The pink beadded collar is not our most favorite, so it's not for certain that he will be Island soon. Actually, the only one uncertain about the new color is Thrim himself, as he thinks that will make him less fierce!

About Me and Links

My name's Aruana, I'm a brazilian adolescent who studies biology in university, hence all the biology references in this app and on my other pet's personalities. I love biology, drawing, playing the piano, medieval stuff, british accents & culture and just being happy in general. I'm very easy-going and my biggest goal in life is to illustrate anatomy and children's books.

I am a huge Beatles fan, I am obsessed with George Harrison and I absolutely love Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit and other Tolkien's works. My pets have all a bit of Tolkien in their characters: Elves, Wild Men, Dwarves and of course, Hobbits. I even have a Gallery dedicated to the Elves, which I am very proud of!

On Neo I am a mail addict and I am always chatting via NM with my friends. I also adore to go on shopping sprees to buy toys, food, books and wearables for all my pets. Basically all the nps I save I spend with them, although I like to gift my friends too. Other than that I like to play games to save lots of np so I can afford spending them after!
I enjoy collecting pretty avatars to use on the boards (always matching the active pet!) or other ones to make my ava collection go up, up up! Now I am also interested in entering the pet/petpet spotlight, with Saeianess. We are working on her poem and I have done already some drawings but there isn't 'the perfect one' yet to enter the contest. I also really really want to participate in the random contest but there is always something that I don't know how to do or I couldn't enter in time, but I'm still excited and looking forward for it! Nowadays I also got into the Art Gallery, which I wanted since I was a younger player on neo *_* And I'm always submitting comics to the Neopian Times. These both things are very addictive haha! My Art goal is to reach at least 10 trophies and 20 NT trophies (only 7 entries left for each!). The best thing about the Art Gallery is that you can draw anything! Not only your pet, for example, as in the beauty contest. I used to enter the BC quite a lot, but since it became a spam-competition I'm not very happy about it. Even then, Cowantshells got 2 gold trophies and Kiikiw and Lessolay have one gold trophy each.

My future Neo plans consists in finally getting a UC Ty Krawk and after that finishing all my pet's petpages. I have a huge project to link every pet altogether in a petpage: clicking on the maps will take you to their habitats and their homes and so on. I didn't draw all the maps, houses and forests, so it will take some time. However, this is actually a good thing, that it won't be ready soon, as it wouldn't be this fun if it was done in two days.
Everyone will have their own page, which I work on them eventually: I won't finish Kiikiw's whole page in a week, for example. Today I write about him, tomorrow I will draw Saeianess's portraits, and the day after it's Nitefhall's turn to have her description. This alternation allows me to write when I am inspired and when the writing flows, instead of a "job" that I "must" do against my will. Since Cowantshells is my oldest pet, his page is the most complete. The only thing that is missing is zafara adoptables, that will be done in my December holidays.

Comics are a bit hard to update often since I don't "think" about them. Ideas just appear randomly in my head. Don't confuse with screenie, though. I decided to separate the ones with random events and screenied screen on Neopets and the ones that are just comic strips. "Comics" that I have entered in the NT are 90% of the cases, actually screenies.

The most bummer part about having specific pages for each pet is that there isn't a space left for my things. Stuff like art gallery, personal page and wishlists will be added to someone's page (*intruder!* haha :P). I'm still trying to figure this out.. Since Gloriete likes Art, it won't be very difficult to have her hosting my Art Gallery, but things like, my personal page? I still didn't figure this out haha. Perhaps a lab rat or some sort, but I always feel guilty to not do anything with a pet that I currently own. And after getting Phil, I won't be needing any other trading fodder, as I would not want any other kind of pet for me. I will be complete, you know? :3

Since the event of the stolen tyrannian krawk, I have not given up on this goal. No other krawk was put UFA but I have applied for other pets that were allowed to retrade; and I ventured myself on the dark abyss that is Pet Trading:

The Application was actually this one. This page, this text, but obviously modified. I was considered for the top 10 applications, but couldn't make it any more than that. I forgot to mail the foster in the exact day we could mail asking about our apps and she hasn't loged on Neo since then, so I have no idea why I was rejected/not accepted. After this app that I decided to make this project and report all my data about my Krawk Hunt!

3rd: WN UC Plushie Grundo
This app had Rounds, but I couldn't even make to the first one, since UC Krawks are a higher tier than plushie grundos, therefore was rejected.

4th: BN UC Darigan Shoyru:
I sent a mail application, didn't made to the finalists.

5th: VWN UC Ty Krawk: It should be only a mail application long. I prepared for this application for months; woke up at 5 am just to send the app. Wasn't even one of the ten runner up ._.

6th: DN UC Faerie Grarrl: Just a mail app + this project. Wasn't chosen again!

On a quick adoption board, it was actually "guess the uc krawk I am transferring out". First come, first serve, I was the 3rd person to post uc ty krawk on the board.

Trading up:

I adopted a WN yellow aisha stuck in the pound, the very first zap he turned into Woodland. Traded for a WN Mutant Gelert. Traded this gelert for a WN Pirate Draik {woot woot!}. Traded the Draik for Ulroth the Everquest RN Ghost Draik.
Now, Ulroth is being trained. My first goal is train in the Academy till he reach level 40, after that I'll see if I need to train more. I'm also saving NPs to offer a paint job with him when trading for a nice pet.
