Aduialendorlia
Unseelie Faerie Princess

(Note: Aduial often speaks in double words due to an odd faerie quirk.)

The dusky shades of twilight falls upon the faerie forest. About you the trees are gnarled and as barren as autumn. Dark toadstools grow in circles where dark faeries play. From the shadows of the darkening forest the malicious eyes of goblins gleam.

This is the realm of Aduialendorlia the Unseelie faerie draik princess. From the growing darkness she emerges, her lavender wings fluttering, her markings mimicing the shades of the sky upon white. She is small in size, no larger then your average housecat. Her indigo eyes regard you inquisitively.

Suilad, greetings. the princess adresses you with a voice like tiny chiming bells. I am impresively impressed, you have entered my realm wilingly and with no fear. Are you here for the stories perchance, one of the curiously curious who wish to know about myself and my sisterly sister? Ah, yes, please take a seat upon the grass and I shall regale you with our tale.

~*~

Childhood

My sister Aara and I are twins, two draiks grown and hatched from the same egg. But while my flames are of the darkly dusk, hers are of the brightly bright dawn. Night and Day, Chaos and Order, Unseelie and Seelie. We were similar yet different the moment we hatched.

The soothsayers said that we were complimenting opposties. I was destined to be Unseelie, while my sister would forever be my opposite in many ways.

For those who are not in the know, let me describe 'seelie' and 'unseelie'.
The basically basics is that they are the terms for the ancient faerie courts of 'light' and 'dark'. Not to be confused with 'good' and 'evil'. For there are stilly meanly mean Seelie, and kindly kind Unseelie.

~*~

Faerie Courts

Let me give you the basics of the two faerie courts.

The Unseelie faerie fey are the creatures of darkness, winter and night. Breakers of stagnant traditions, bringers of chaos and much needed change.

The Seelie are the faeries of light, summer and daytime. They cling to old traditions, outdated oaths, and cherish mortals (who should be the playthings of the faeries!).

The two courts are eternal rivals. Together they represent all that is light and dark, good and evil, honorable and chaotic in life.

Traditionally the Unseelie faeries rule from the darker months of Samhain (October 31rst) until the spring of Beltaine (May 1rst). It is obviously obvious that the Seelie rules the other half of the year.

~*~

Aara

I cannot put this into goodly good words, but I adore my twin more then anything else that I can think of. We are like one soul, a split spirit in two bodies.
But it was quickly quick that I noticed how different the two of us were.

Aara was always slow to begin mischief, but I could easily easy talk her into causing it with me. But it was the day that I nearly drowned my sister with a prank, and she didn't find it funnily funny. That was the moment I began to notice something was amiss.

Sometime later I was able to persuade my sister to have an adventure with me away from our parents.
We were gone for months.
When we returned I was thrilled to know that they were terrified, and searched for us daily. But knowing that she did wrong, well it made Aara sadly sad... and she cried.

If you can pin-point a moment, that was the very day that I was positive that we were not alike.

Yet nothing could have prepared me for what was to happen to us next.

~*~

Kidnapped!

It was the Beltaine celebration of May Day, a Seelie celebration. The mood was airy and light, and even my darker moods were swayed by the festive festivities.

Aara and I had curiously followed our parents as they walked alone with the fading of the sunlight. Sitting on a branch we whispered to each other, simply happy to be out and playing.

We never knew what hit us.

I awoke with a magical golden collar around my neck, held tight by a magically magical thin leash of golden chain. About me was a gilded cage of gold, and my sister was chained much the same across from me.

An Unseelie Sidhe (elven) woman placed a dark cloth over my sister's cage and spirited her off into the night. I wept piteously until the tears could flow no longer.

~*~

A New Life

I soon found myself the new pet of an Unseelie Queen, the very woman I had first seen after my capture. For the longest time I would nip and bite at her fingers if she drew near me. Hissing and spiting I would warn her away, and threaten her to return my sister.

The Queen used both pain and denial to slowly win me over. Only by obeying could I eat or sleep.
It wasn't long before I willingly sat upon my mistress's shoulder as a favored pet.

I had lost track of time and am unsurely sure if it was weeks, months or even years before I was able to see my sweet twin once again.
The Queen had taken me on a ride, 'for a surprise' she had told me. I thought that my heart would break my chest when I saw her!
At a secluded cottage, upon the shoulder of a Seelie King was my nieve, wonderful twin sister!

It was then that I learned of the secretive secret. The King and Queen each had a realm in the same land, and were at war, but they loved each other dearly. So secretly they would meet at this cottage.
Aara was a gift to the King from my mistress. It was that night we decided to work hardly hard to bring them together happily, even if it took us years and years.

~*~

The Tear of Dana

Again, time did not seem to pass by normaly in that faerie realm. So again I am not surely sure how long it had been before Aara remembered the pendants.

You see, our Queen Mother had a powerfuly powerful amulet that she kept. We had found it once before she took it from our hands and hid it away.
The amulet was shaped like a crystal teardrop, and split down the center into two half crystals. Each was it's own pendant, one Seelie, and the other Unseelie. Together it was called the Tear of Dana, and could work strong magikal magiks.

For a longly long time I befriended one of the lowly goblins that lived in my mistress's castle. There was a portal to the mortal realm that opened only on specialy special days to faeries. On Mabon (September 21rst) I sent him with instructions to find my parent's castle, seek the stone, and bring it to me.

I'm still surprised that he actually succeeded!

Aara's light faerie had returned with her half of the stone... our plan would finally be set into motion.

~*~

Magiks and Maturity

I should tell you that by this time I had aged quite a bit. I only knew that time had passed as I found myself growing and maturing.

During my time spent with the Unseelie Queen she taught me faerie sorcery. I quickly quick learned to harness enchantments and faerie glamours.

As Aara suggested I would secretly practice my charms, learning to open the mind of another to suggestions. Hopefully at our master's next meeting, our plan would work.

During the dark of the night as our master's slept in the cabin my sister and I spent the night weaving our spell and charm. Our amulets pulsed with faerie glows as we whispered suggestions into the tapered ears of the royal sidhe. Content that come the dawn they would finally resolve a peace between them we spoke of another dire issue.

We could not risk another kidnapping or faerie raide brought into our home kingdom, where we belonged. Darkly we plotted to use the necklaces to collapse the portal, forever sealing the King and Queen away from the land of our birth.

~*~

Suffice it to say, our plan worked. Soon after the King and Queen were wed, agreeing to again follow the old tradition of trading rulership for half a year to the other.
Our golden collars were removed, we were offered our freedom, and tears of joy streamed from our eyes.

It was on Samhain night when we again slipped away, ready for the portal to open for what would be the last time.

~*~

Sealing the Portal

How does the saying go? Something aboutthe best laid plans of mice and men often go awry. That little snitch of a goblin had told the Queen of our plan, and we found time to be of the essence.

It was a race for the portal, so that we could arrive just moments before the rulership passed from Seelie to Unseelie.. so my sister could actually use it to return home.
The hoofbeats of the Queen's enterage could be heard as we clasped hands and cast our spell, making the portal begin to fade like watercolours that were left out in the rain.

If it wasn't for the timely rescue of Aara's former master, I would not be here today telling you this story.

The portal was nearly gone before the rulership turned to Unseelie, and I dove through.. returning to a land that I had not seen for what felt like many decades.

~*~

Happily Ever After?

So that is our story. I would like to say that we lived happily ever after, but now more then ever I realise how differently different I am from my family. I have changed too much, and soon I believe that I shall find a place to suit my darkly dark unseelie nature.

About Aduial

Aduial is an unseelie faerie draik. She is 'dark', selfish and rather spiteful, but not evil (although she likes to lead others to believe that she is crueler then she seems). Yet still there are times where her morals seem 'askew'.
Although still young Aduial has become a very accomplished dark sorceress and likes to wield spells that charm and confuse.
Even with her selfish attitude, and her penchant for wickedness she has a constant soft spot for her seelie twin Aaraendorlia (whom Aduial loves more then even herself).

Morilinde is my faellie. She was a Yule gift from my parents. Her name means 'Dark Song' in elvish.
Once I lost her for awhile, and Chutkat found and returned my petpet to me. I am eternally greatfully greatful.
Chutkat also brought the small cooty Lóme for my faellie to play with.

This is my bonded royal faerie Duskfall. I have been told that this faerie arrived with one similar to Aara before our egg even hatched. It simply shows the power of my twin and myself, being able to bond with fey faeries while still in the shell.

My favorite of all... Andune. On my hatching day my godmother brought this delightfully delightful wicked pet to me. Very loyal, and always at my beck and call, Adune will go to any lengths to appease me.

Mischief is my aron. Her seed was a gift to me from Chutkat. (He certainly does seem to spoil me. *grins*) I began taking care of the seed around September 24 '05. The goblin I had 'befreinded' in the Unseelie realm returned with the seed in tow.
My aron has a nasty disposition, and has been known to bite without warning.

    Family

  • Aara is my darlingly darling, nieve, seelie twin. I would lie, steal and cheat for her. (Oh who am I kidding, I do that anyhow.) But in truth Aara means everything to me. Woe be the one who ever makes her shed a tear, for my vengence will be direly dire!

  • Queen Tasmira and PhiLorre are my parents. I was snatched away from them while just a hatchling, but I still remember them well. My father can be very free-wheeling at times, and my mother tries to act 'royal' yet I see that twinkley twinkle of mischief in her eyes.
Although Dad has seemed to have become more over-protective since our return.

  • Leasily is my older, pretty pretty, adopted sister. She is from an ancient faerie draik line that dates back to ancient times. Since Aara and my capture was at so young an age, I truly need to get to know this sister much better.

  • Queen Azamoth, my aunt and godmother. She is my mother's unseelie younger sister, and a powerful darkly dark sorceress. I have been told that I was to train with her when I came of age... perhaps soon I should remind my aunt about that.

    Friends

  • Chutkat is truly my only friend. (Anyone who says that I need more friends is a liar!)
I have known him since I was a hatchling, and no matter what he has always stuck by me. The charm bracelette that I have wrapped around my tail was a gift from him.
He always seems to know exactly what to say to make me happily happy, and always has a treat in hand. I found my mind wandering to him many a time during my capture. Now that I have returned I find my pulse racing when he is near, my mind flustered just by his voice. I...

*pauses* Why am I telling you this?!
I'm not saying another word about him.

    Evening Falls

    Enya

These lyrics I find so very moving. They remind me so closely how how I felt while in captivity, and how different I feel from my family... now that I am home.

When the evening falls and the daylight is fading,
From within me calls - could it be I am sleeping?
For a moment I stray, then it holds me completely.
Close to home - I cannot say.
Close to home feeling so far away.

As I walk the room there before me a shadow
From another world, where no other can follow.
Carry me to my own, to where I can cross over...
Close to home - I cannot say.
Close to home feeling so far away.

    Forever searching; never right,
I am lost in oceans of night.
Forever hoping I can find memories.
    Those memories I left behind.

Even though I leave will I go on believing
That this time is real - am I lost in this feeling?
Like a child passing through, never knowing the reason.
I am home - I know the way.
I am home - feeling oh, so far away.

    Aduial

The night is coming the sun is setting
And all ready my mother is fretting
Because I want to go out on my own
And the dark night is most unknown

    My sister Aara silly thing
She likes the daytime to play and sing
    And little princess Leasily
She takes things nice and easily

    However I prefer
    The eveningtime much better
    Suiting my unseelieness
I like nothing better than making a mess

My father is not faerie-like all
And my mother talks just plain drawl
I look at my wings now they have never flown
As I am Aduial the draik princess much unknown

    Princess of Twilight

The mix of purple and dark blue,
Shows the twilight sky where birds once flew.
I am unseelie, outgoing and spirited while sister is not,
She like orange and red, and firey hot.
We are both draik princesses from the same egg,
Aduial, Princess of Twilight, spirited and outgoing.

    ~Tear (_fallen_moon_tears_)

Purple, Indigo, and then Blue fades
Night is falling into twlight shades
A faerie draik princess, unseelie is she
Bears the royal birthmark and twlight flames
    Along with her draconic/elven name
Princess Aduialendoria of the twlight flames

    ~phoenix__rain

    I've been so sick lately,
Cuz you've been away from me.
I can't seem to count the days,
All the nights I've been without sleep.
I've missed with all my heart,
    Your beautiful smile and your radiant charm;
How special for me you are,
As I've been enthralled by your chant.

Like a fairytale, our story is told,
Of a noble princess and a tramp,
A poor fellow who's got so much,
Thanks to her, and her righteous heart.

And with twilight flames your body is,
With lavender rays filling up your eyes,
Your scent as sweet as the orange trees,
And chiming bells coming from your lips.

Now, I'd die if another day passes,
Without you here, by my side,
But at least you're back; you're with me,
And now I welcome you with open arms.

~greki89 (written for Chutkat to Aduial) Another dark faerie
    Darkness engulfs her
Unless you seek grief, do not seek her
In a world where seelie and unseelie fey creatures roam
    Always night in her world
Light, bah, dark is her lair
