Look! A box!

Upon approach, you open the box carefully. Confetti explodes from the box, and a little gnome inches its way out of the box. Attached to him is a note.

The Note

Welcome to Name Tag, a button and banner request site created by the one and only
Em! Name Tag opened it's box on April 12, 2012, with the goal of providing sites and guilds with exactly what the name states, a name tag. Enjoy your time!

Looking past the gnome

You see a few other knick-knacks in the box.
Ah, they are little buttons. Spare a vote at Genericizing?

Oh, and are those updates?

Sorry for the lack of updates. I haven't had much to say. I'm working on the content for a new layout and school is over.

Big news here at Name Tag today! First off, the amazing Cassie has joined our staff, taking button requests when she has the time. Second, I have started to rewrite the site to make it more fun. Third, I am working on an about section in case, for whatever reason, you are curious about Name Tag, me, or Cassie.

The gnome escapes!

He jumps out of the box and starts running around the room. You look around and see nobody there, except a sleepy, old Aisha blocking the exit. Good, at least he can't escape. You begin to chase the gnome around the room, hoping he gets tired quickly. The gnome leads you to a poster.

The Poster

Upon closer examination, you realize the poster has the rules for requests on it. You decide it might be best to read them. Who knows, you may just learn something.

1. You must credit Name Tag.
2. Request only when requests are open.
3. Please actually use the banner or button I make. If you don't like it, tell me. I can remake it.
4. The gnome's name is Zeke.
5. Be patient. Please give me time to finish the request. I would like at least five days, but I most likely will finish it before. Things happen, and I do have a life.
6. I will only take 3 requests for banners and 3 requests for buttons at a time. This will be in the order that they come.
7. You must be okay with me putting the button or banner in my portfolio.

You finally catch the gnome

And he is standing in front of two options. The first is for banners and the second is for buttons. You realize that he brought you to the request center. The gnome eagerly awaits your decision.

Which option will you choose?

Three cheers for banners!

The gnome was hoping you would choose the banner option. Now make sure requests are open, and then request away!

You return after a short nap

The gnome is there to greet you. He seems to have missed you. He leads you to your finished name tag and smiles. He nudges your side and says, please make sure to link back! Stunned by the fact that he can talk, you continue to collect your name tag.

You take a look around the room...

and see a small door. The little gnome tells you not to open the door, but you, being curious, open it anyway. A bunch of things fall on top of you. Looking around, you see that the things that fell are all of Em's examples.

In order to help you create your own graphics and start a really awesome and fun hobby, Name Tag has provided a few tutorials.
I do not own any of these tutorials, but they helped me out when I was beginning.

The gnome suddenly screeches.

You turn around to see why the noise came from the creature's mouth. He is standing there stomping something. You look down and see that they are signs.

Rummaging through the box...

You find more rectangular things. Looking at them closer, you see that they are place holders.

The gnome leads you to a closet

You open the door to find the "About" section of Name Tag. Should you be in here?

About Name Tag

Name Tag was created in early April of 2012 and was opened on April 12th, 2012, by Em. The main goal of Name Tag was to create a way for sites and guilds to identify themselves on userlookups, shops, etc. After careful work when creating the site, Em opened it in hopes that she could not only improve her skills as a graphic maker, but provide sites and guilds with exactly what the name of the site promises, a Name Tag.

About Em

Em is a sophomore in college majoring in Marketing and minoring in Information Systems, Creative Writing, and English. Yes, it's a lot of work... don't do it.She's been on Neo for about 9 years now and started making graphics, poorly, early on in those years and has gradually gotten better. In the past, she has helped with a few amazing guilds including Thalia, Karma*, Allure, and currently Xenite. She absolutely loves guilds, but with Xenite so developed, she wanted to do something else. She loves making buttons and banners so Name Tag was created.

About Cassie

Cassie is a good friend of Em's and has ran many sites before including the Escapist, and currently Arsenic!, a premade font and layout site. She is 17 years old and loves helping people with their neo-goals, chatting, playing games, playing games, saving her neopoints and finding avatars. She also thinks keyquest is awesome! She is a supreme-o graphics maker and wanted to still make buttons, but not have a site dedicated to it. She joined Name Tag on April 17, 2012 to help Em create an amazing site. Cassie was also a big part of Karma* and Allure and is currently in Sonata.

The gnome grabs your shirt...

and drags you to the rug right before the exit. You look down and see the link backs, affiliates, sister site, and credits. You look back at the gnome with a longing look. He waves as you take a look and eventually leave the box.
