Chapter 1
My life began on January 3rd, 2006, as a blue acara. The first thing I remember was my mom. I was born in the Adoption Center, where pet owners get pets. I was a runt, I was smaller than my siblings. I don't remember much about that night, but what I do remember was that a girl was about to walk by our cage when she stopped and said "Oh that one's perfect! That small one, right there!" Then someone unlocked the cage and handed me to the girl. I took one last look at my mom, before I was carried away to my new home.

The next morning I woke up in a nice neohome. It wasn't very fancy (my owner wasn't that rich), but it was still nice. Then my owner appeared and put a collar on me that said "acara1098723456". "That's gonna be your name. acara1098723456" She said.

Chapter 2
I remember one day I was playing at the playground, when I heard someone say "Hello!" I looked around to see where the voice was coming from, but all I saw was a pink hopso. "Umm...Did you say something?" I said to the petpet. Then he said "Yes, I said hello." I was shocked. A talking petpet! I picked him up and showed him to my owner and said "Look! Look! This petpet talks!" Then the hopso replied "Carefull! Don't hold me too tight!" My owner looked at me in disbelief and said "The only thing I hear him saying is 'Squeak. Squeak. Squeak.' Come on, lets head home." Puzzled, I said to the hopso "Why didn't she understand you and only I could?" The hopso then said "I dunno. Can I come home with you?"

Sure. But you need a name. How about...Mooshi?"

That's a great name!"

Chapter 3

That day was when I met my petpet, Mooshi, and discovered that I could talk to petpets. At first, I thought Mooshi was a talking petpet that only I could hear. But later I heard other petpets talking! I decided that I should keep this a secret.

I absolutely loved my owner and Mooshi. But one day, something happened that would change my life...

One day we went to the Deserted Fairground. We decided to spin the Wheel of Misfortune. Although it had the world "Misfortune" in it, we still wanted to spin. I was hoping to win one of those cool Headless Von Roo plushies. But to our horror, it landed on "POX". Then I felt cold, and I fell down. My owner took me to the Neopian Hospital and was shocked to find out I had NeoMonia, an awfull illness that makes you feel sick, tired and grumpy untill you get the cure.

Afterwards, we got in a taxi. I didn't know where we were going. I looked at my owner, and I saw that she was crying. "She looks really upset." Mooshi said with a frown. He looked out the window to see where we were going. "Uh oh. This doesn't look good." He said. I was going to ask where we were, but then I decided not to. Then my owner took me out of the taxi. "acara1098723456," She said, her eyes full of tears, "I know this is going to sound terrible, but I can't afford the cure for NeoMonia. I have no choice but to put you in the pound so someone can afford to cure you." A tear fell off her cheek and landed on mine. "Don't forget about me." She said. And with that, she got back in the taxi, and Mooshi and I watched as the taxi drove out of sight.

Chapter 4

I felt awfully sad in the pound. Now I knew how my owner felt. Mooshi was there with me, so at least I had someone to talk to. I met a few pets in the pound, who all wanted to get out. While I was there, I met an interesting acara.

Not too long after I ended up in the pound I met a yellow acara named Sorrow. He was almost like a brother to me- We would always talk to each other and share our secrets. I even told him about how I can talk to petpets. One of Sorrow's secrets was that he was trying to dig a tunnel under the pound to escape. During the day he had a box over it so no one would see it. That's how desperate he was to get out of the pound.

One day, we saw a girl and a blue acara walk through the halls of the pound. I must have been they're first time there, because it looked like they were having trouble chosing. I though they were gonna leave until she walked by my cage and saw me! "Oh, I want that one!" She said, pointing at me. Then Dr_Death unlooked my cage and handed me to her. I think I saw a smile on his face. "Oh, your so lucky, Acara." Sorrow said, sounding kinda jealous. I then reasured him and said "Don't worry, someone will want you too!"

Chapter 5

The next thing I remember was being taken to a nice neohome, where nine other pets were waiting. Sarah introduced me to each of them. They were all so nice to me. Then Sarah came home with a suprise for me:

Sarah showed me a bar of soap with green stripes on it. "This is Medicinal Soap." She said. "It will help you feel better. Come on, lets go give you a bath with this."

Sarah then gave me a bath with the Medicinal Soap and I felt better in no time! No too long after my "healing bath" I though to myself "Did Sorrow get adopted? And will I ever see him again?"

Chapter 6

One day I went to the marketplace with Jula. Besides fighting in the battledome, Jula also likes to go shopping. While we were browsing through someones shop I saw a very familiar looking acara. He looked at me and said "Acara?" I then realized it was Sorrow! I then rushed towards him and gave him a big hug. "What are you doing here?" I asked him. "Did you dig your way out of the pound?" He then said "Nope. Dr_Death caught me digging one day and moved me to a new cell with cement floors so I couldn't dig a way out."

Then how did you-"

Someone adopted me!"

Sorrow! Is this that that acara you told me about?" Then a blue buzz aproached us. Sorrow then said "Acara this is Zzub. He's my foster brother." I was overjoyed. Sorrow had a new home and a new brother. I guess he needs a new name. He isn't so "filled with sorrow" anymore.

Chapter 7

One day I went over to Sorrow's home. I saw Sorrow and Zzub packing up all their stuff. "What's going on?" I thought to myself. I got closer and I saw that they were putting there stuff in a truck. Sorrow looked at me and said "Hi, Acara!" I asked what they were doing and he said "We're just going on a trip."

To where?"

I dunno. My owner says we're going somewhere. He also said we might be gone for a while."

Oh...Will I see you again?"

Maybe. Who knows."

As soon as their stuff was packed up Sorrow got in the truck. As they drove off, I waved goodbye. I kept watching the truck drive away untill it was too far away to see.

That was the last time I ever saw Sorrow.

Jula
Jula was the very first pet Sarah created. She's also her strongest pet. When she fights others in the battledome, she often fails more than she succeeds. But she doesn't give up easily! Her 'rival' is the Flame Meerca, the first pet she battled. She lost to him, but she says, and I quote, "Someday i'm gonna defeat that flame meerca! This I swear!"

Sarah B.
Named after my owner, Sarah B. wants to go to the Lab Ray as soon as we get all the map pieces. She wants to be a lab pet because she wants to be a sponge acara, which can only be obtained from the lab ray. She runs a pet directory called Acara Avenue. If you have an acara, neomail Sarah to join!

Aly
Aly is sometimes mistaken for her sister, A.J., because they're twins. Besides their outfits, the easiest way to tell 'em apart is their unique personalities: Aly likes puzzle games such as Sutek's Tomb, and she's often seen guarding the items in Sarah's gallery.

A.J.
This is Aly's twin sister. A.J. enjoys pulling pranks on Aly. She once drew a mustache on her face while she was sleeping!

Sorrow
Sorrow is my old friend from the pound. You might have heard about him in my story earlier. I haven't seen him in a long, long time. *sniff* Perhaps we'll see each other again someday.

Clozie
A retired lab pet, Clozie was also adopted from the pound. She runs a pet directory called the Pound Army, which I am a proud member of.

Chimar
This is my cousin, Chimar. Unlike most grarrls he's very friendly. He likes to make friends and he sometimes gives me piggyback rides! His owner is Austin, Sarah's little brother.

Anna
Anna is a member of Acara Avenue. She's also a great friend. She kinda reminds me of my old pal Sorrow.

Sia
Sia is another one of Austin's pets. Just like me she was adopted from the pound. Austin was looking for a pet to adopt and he found Sia!
