Hello, guest. Welcome to Potions class. Make sure you have a copy of Magical Drafts and Potions by Arsenius Jigger. After you have read a lesson, do the homework and send an owl with your answers to poogle_1506. With every answer you get correct, you will earn 3 points for your house.











Lesson Two

Babbling Beverage

Babbling Beverage is a simple potion that causes the consumer to speak out of control nonsense. You can find the recipe on page 20 of Magical Drafts and Potions You may begin-Oh, and don't forget to take your homework on your way out!

  1. First, light a fire over a cauldron and use a fluid base of three quarts of Lethe River water and eight drops of honeywater.
  2. Bring to a boil, and very slowly add a pint of horklump juice, and stir. Wait for it to boil again if the juice cools it down. The color should be a deep scarlet red.
  3. One by one while stirring clockwise, add five flabbergasted leeches.
  4. Cut five leaping toadstools into cubes and add them. Stir counterclockwise until it turns a bright emerald green
  5. Now, add one porcupine quill that has been reduced to a powder. Stir clockwise....
For five minutes. Leave boiling for an hour. Until it's a deep shade of purple.

Polyjuice Potion

Polyjuice Potions are used to transform a human to another human form. It is very complicated, and difficult. Lucky for you, I have prepared the ingredients that take a long time to prepare. Usually it would take a month, but it will take less than that since the ingredients are prepared. Read the lesson and do the homework.
  1. Use a water-base of 3 three gallons.
  2. After it has come to a boil, add 12 lacewing flies that have been stewed for 21 days, already stewed for you.
  3. Add one ounce of crude Antimony while stirring clockwise.
  4. One by one in between counter clockwise stirs, add 4 leeches that have been unsucculated.
  5. Add 16 scruples of fluxweed that have been picked at full moon, and stir for three minutes and 15 seconds.
  6. Add 3 drachms of pulverised Sal Ammoniac, and 5 pulverised blades of knotgrass.
  7. While stirring counter clockwise, add a pinch of powdered, lunar extracted, bicorn horn.
  8. Add filings and rasplings of Saltpeter, Mercury and Mars, and let sit for one minute, and stir twice, once clockwise, once counter clockwise.
  9. Two pieces of shredded, dried, boomslang skin.
  10. Right before you drink, add a bit of the person you would like to take the appearance of, like a hair, for example.

Felix Felicis, better known as Liquid Luck, is a potion used to give you good luck. You can find it on page eighty of Magical Drafts and Potions by Arsenius Jigger After you read the lesson, do the homework, and neomail your answers to poogle_1506.
