This is my family, as you can clearly see I'm gonna show you a picture and then talk about them.
Oh dear...Toby don't be so...flat. Toby is glaring at me...er I mean. *clears throat* Toby turned his head to glare at Elfwood. :D Toby sighed and shook his head, turning back to...um...the other people to continue talking.
Anyway...I'm going to start with telling you guys about my family now.

Cronos
My father...he's um...gone. I have no clue where he is, I miss him. I have to honestly admit that. My father…I don't even know what to think anymore…I dunno, I've been told time and time again that I'm-I was his favorite... But yes, he often took me out on father-son trips. I received battle training from him...however brutal it was. Father never belonged with his troops, and they never liked him. An albino darigan general is sorta...different. I wish to see him again...

Angel's Golden Stride
My mother was...um, a horse. A palomino race horse. She had a history she never really told me about. She loved me, and raised my sister. I have to say that, since father didn't...really. But that never separated me and Sky, so that was good...I guess. I'm sorry if I sound unsure of what I'm saying, but after Mom died and Dad left...

Skylancey
Sky is my closest sibling, I guess... She's my older half-sister and a plant mage. She um…moved out…and now…her brother starves. Heh…heh…right, so um…I haven't seen her in a while. Since Cascade forced her to leave…the jerk…

Nikko
Nikko is my half-brother, we share the same mom, that's why he's gill-less, horse blood. Nikko's just about as crazy as me, if not more! I try to keep an eye out for him but he's a slippery little dude, he's also really fast in the water and I have yet to beat him when we're racing.

Twilight Zone
Uh oh... *cough cough* Toby sighed and looked away from you, going suddenly silent. His eyes flash a couple of times, showing that he's upset and angry. Finally his eyes settle, dripping with bitter hatred...
Well at least Elf got something right.
Toby spits out angrily, his voice hard and low like his throat is tight.
Twilight and I are...mortal enemies. Only bad luck made us half blood siblings. The only thing that keeps us from ripping each other to pieces seems to be Nikko. Oddly enough, Twilight, with all her hate and evil cares only for Nikko, or recently...someone else. But that is changing, and it doesn't help that she found herself a castle and magical powers.
Ok Toby I think-
I wish she would just go to hell-

Toby grumbled and turned his head away again, thinking.
Crystal...has issues. She hates the world, maybe it's my fault because...well...High Flyer...
Toby sighs and closes his eyes with pain, remembering his old PetPet.
High Flyer...was just so special. He was my first petpet and he was a stego too. He flew just as fast as me on those tiny little wings of his. We had great times together...that was...until some cruel person stole him from me, yeah, that's right one night while I was out...some person crept into our house and stole, not only High Flyer, but Nikko's SeaSphinx as well. I was...torn...so Elf got me Crystal. At first...I paid no attention to her, never noticed her, until Phantom came by and asked me about her. It was then I named the purple Stego Crystal, and it was then I found out about her attitude.
Crystal is not a nice Stego like she should be, anyone other than me and Sky she tries to take a chunk out of. Sometimes I believe that she just might be carnivorous, but I think it's just her. She's even tried to take bites out of me as well.
And to make matters worst, about a year ago I found out that her bright pink eyes can actually see through walls, and inanimate things. This makes everything easy prey for her. It gets very annoying...

Toby grins suddenly, noticing the next section he needs to tell you about. His blue eyes then sparkle and he laughs, tossing his head as he prances in place.
It's here I find a lot of comfort. Though we go by the name of partners they feel like my own blood almost.
Eww...Toby that's just gross. Toby laughs and nuzzles Elfwood assuringly.

Rikash
Rikash is great. He's a Eacon, a cross between Bald Eagle and Pegerine Falcon. He's the one I get all my feather's from, and he helps to guide me through air and perfect my flying acrobats. It's always nice to have a Avian Partner.

Persila
Persila is my Faerie Partner, or more like...Faerie Guardian. She's an earth faerie and is a excellent healer. I haven't seen her in a while, but that's because she's working in Faerieland, maybe to help with making potions at the springs.
Toby grins and his eyes twinkle with what seems to be pride. *snorts* AHAHAHAHAHA! *falls over laughing* You're proud of Persila! *gulps* Uh oh...Toby is glaring at me and baring his teeth likes he's going to rip me to shreads if I don't stop laughing. *stands up straight and staring innocently up and Toby*

Eagle Sun
This boy...damn. *hisses* Toby don't swear!
But...man, I still have no clue how he did it. This Islander Boy, dare I say it, managed to tame me. Slightly...he's the 12 year old boy who rode me...broke me in even, he doesn't uses bridles, or tack for that matter. And he's one hell of a rider.
Toby! *hisses again* I told ya not to swear!
And you're just the greatest example Elf.
*snorts huffily* I'm cleaning myself up, and I don't want you to turn out like me!
Fine fine...but still Eagle Sun is the greatest rider, ever. He also was the one that painted and still paints me. He paints my herd members as well. Talent for art, riding and getting into your head, this Islander just blows me away.

Ariabelle is a bit…odd. Maybe that's because I haven't known her for a very long time, but she's just…weird right now. I can't really figure her out…but I'm sure I'll understand her better as I get to know her.

Kemper
Kemper is...strange, he keeps butterflies and is overly cautious of them. That sorta set us off on the wrong scale, me winds are NEVER to be taken from me. That will get you nothing but spite, until I soften. But...Kemper tries to hard to please, I figured I might as well give it to him. Besides, my winds like his butterflies.
Toby shruggs casually and continues.

Koalvolt
Toby laughs as he thinks about Koalvolt and shakes his head gently.
Koalvolt is…funny. He's great, funny guy, but he likes snow. Who the heck likes snow??
Toby! Just because you and I dun like snow and most of your cousins as well, doesn't mean the rest of the world doesn't as well!
Meh…I dun like snow, I seriously don't see what's so good about it. But Koalvolt likes it, a bunch of my friend's like it. Maybe it's because I'm just a MI Uni…

Well, I met Koalvolt in a snowy paddock, man, sure was lucky I didn't freeze and we headed out to the Lost Desert. Course my winds got straight to playing and…I'm not really sure what Koalvolt did, but I think my winds caught him too. Koalvolt's oooold, he's also a father, I feel funny hanging around him, being a laid back bachelor n' all…well...not anymore.

Lava
Ah…Lava, she's weird. Seriously. She was my first friend, met her when I'd gotten out into the world, when I was 1. We ran into big trouble then…I still have no clue why she hated me for so long. I tried to save her…and she nearly killed me for it…and then when she pulled me around I snorted and walked off, peeved. After that she never talked to me. Tis a shame I had a crush on her…. I saw her again for the first time in 2 years, pure luck that was…I nearly killed her. And then when I took the leap to save her I busted my fetlock…nice ain' it?

Merri Springer
Merri is great, she's really relaxed and…understanding, and too some extent that bugs me, but it's good I guess. It's nice to have someone you can rely on for understanding problems or for comfort. I just think she should stop trying to become friends with Crystal, that Stego will NEVER let go...of what ever the heck it is she gets all her scorn from. Merri's also cute, it was with her I found I flirted a lot…or rather…Elf did.
*starts giggling uncontrollably* Toby flirts! *giggles more*
Yeah…it was like this, I was telling Elf about how I'd met this amazing mare…Merri, and I had splashed water on her head and she giggled-

Oh yeah, Mirtaz is awesome. Despite her crazy scary apperance, she's super sweet. Me and her-

Shut up Elf, we've had some good times. Teasing n00bs and tourists! I like her stride, it's fun to match. Strangest thing though, she doesn't like getting wet. I mean...well..it is the ocean, but it's so much fun! She doesn't know what she's missing.


Moonbiem
Moonbiem's cool. She wants to get a bunch of painted on marking's like meh! I hope to catch up with her one of these days and show her how and design a few for her… it'll be fun!

Neelahne's fun as well! It was with her I discovered my power over the wind…it was really surprising at first…but now it's just awesome. She's real sweet and fast as well, racing has always been fun, but with Lahne I REALLY found how fast I move…I honestly have to say I'm proud of myself.
*giggles* Toby Toby Toby…you've yet to find someone who can beat you in a land race, but I'm sure there are a bunch of Uni's who can so don't get too vain.

Despite what everyone says, Nelahne's actually pretty awesome. Though she's a bit snappy, which makes her all more fun, she's not as mean and cruel as people say. Or at least, she hasn't done anything to me yet, though she said she liked me cause I was 'different' from everyone else. Aren't we all? She has some secrets that have pricked my curiousity, but I'll wait until she's ready to tell me, or at least have something to wonder about for the rest of my life.

Phantom Dream

Shut up Elf. Phan's is a mother now, ain't that crazy? I'm sure she's a pretty good one too. Phan's changed her look a bunch to, and only in Neopia can you do that, I knew her as an Arabian…fell for her too. But now she's a Clyde and is together with Koalvolt. Lucky him.

Sora n' me have problems…and I have no clue why. We should just get along fine, but for some reason I can't…I think it's just me at least. I like crazy psycho adventures and she…well…doesn't. She's too…peaceful I guess. We've both died, ain't that nice?

Relax Elf, it's cool, it still rubs a bit but I'm getting over it. So the story goes…we were having an argument, like usual, when I snapped and just blurted out everything. Sora was so shocked she forgot to fly and fell to the earth. Man…she died, I went down to her and healed her…using my life force. And then I died. Sadly, I resurrected myself…through my anger of her leaving me lying there dead….
*coughs* Moving on…

Strider
Strider! Strider's fun, climbed Mount Techo with him. He's in love with Sora.

Er…anyway, Strider got himself a new look a while ago. He looks great, better than plain black. He's also fun to swim with, even though I got us a bit lost…

Sweet Uni Grrl
Finally, Sweets. Sweets is my bestest friend in the world! She's stuck with me, even through bloodwrath.
Toby shakes his head shamefully, remembering.
Yeah, through it all she was still my friend. And I love her for that, Sweets is the best! She's really sweet and understanding, even though we kinda failed to find her sister, we're still adventuring around. I'm real glad I got Sweets around, even though we hit a major bump in our path, I'm sure we'll get over it though.

So You've chanced upon my small herd. For some reason, the unis of the herd decided to make me their stallion. And my first reaction, was to name us, we are now the Painted Spirits of The Lair

Tobyiano
Hey! It's me! Um...well…I'm the stallion of The Painted Spirits…but I think you already figured that out. So um…here's me in a nutshell. I have the gift of the wind and love to race, running along side my winds when I can and I love adventures and having fun. You've never done anything if you haven't seen death or frolicked in an open field for hours. I can be dangerous, because of my Bloodwrath, and I do get annoyed and irritated, especially around Crystal. So I'm defiantly NOT perfect. I hope I lead the herd well…

Rinaldo
Rinaldo is who'd I consider as my right leg stallion. He's not only in my herd, but he's a great friend of mine and we've had a couple races and talks. He can be really sarcastic and sometimes a bit edgy, but he's my pal and always will be…unless something disastrous happens…I dunno if it's just me, but I think her thinks Merri is cute, well duh, that's a good thing but….

Dunwallo
Dunwallo I've never met, I dunno anything about him cept he's in my herd, training as a knight and ran into a tad of trouble with Guysie. That's also what he looks like, I hope to meet him soon though. Cause being the herd leader I should at least know who's in my herd…

Merri_Springer
Merri has joined my herd, left her own and joined mine.

She popped out of nowhere when I first met the herd, and a bit after I met Rinaldo.

Snowfire
Snowfire I was told recently isn't really IN my herd, but just tags along so I'll just count him in as well. Once again…I've never met him, he calls himself a "Lady-Killer" and is supposed to be really tough. Before I came Rinaldo said they needed Fire to chase away the plains lupes…ha…he doesn't have my curse….

Snowfall
Snowfall is the first mare in my herd. Well not first mare but the first mare that was part of it, you know? Well anyway, I've never met her either…in fact…I haven't met a lot of my herd…but I'll meet then one of these days. She's in love with Guysie, or with him, something like that, and she's Rinaldo's sister, mean to him I heard. I also caught that Snowfire's recently fallen in love with her.

Ethimus
Ethimus is dead, to put it flatly. He's a ghost and he thinks he rules over the herd, or at least…he did. I've actually met him, however briefly, though I've learned nothing about him, well…he's Rinaldo's…grandfather? I think…

Guysie
Guysie I, once again, haven't met. He's grumpy and mean apparently, and is a pirate with butterfly wings…does anyone else but me find that just a bit weird? He's with Snowfall, and in trouble with Snowfire and making friends with Dunwallo. I dunno if I'll like him when I meet him, or not.


~My Bedroom~
Ok, so my room is unique. For personal reasons, I decided no to have the rock face demolished and my room built normally, but to pop a hole in the surface 25 feet up. Yeah, my sis's wing span is about that big, but because of that she can't wriggle in my room. Despite the fact it was hardly cleaned when I didn't have me winds, it's cleaned out daily by my them now. My bed is round and green, like so and Crystal has her small bed near it. I have a cabinet for..stuff.

~Skylancey's Bedroom~
Is neater than mine. No, not really, her's is COVERED in plants. I wonder how she can fit in there, comfortably at least. Then again, they move for her, and not for me.

~The Kitchen'~
Is where our food is made by my Sis, it's also covered in plants...in fact, not much of our huse isn't. We have the tiniest stove, with high containment of fire, no burning plants, no sirree! But the fod is awesome, and the greatest thing is, when you want a snack the plants know and stick out their branchs.

~The Entrance~
Is that hole. Yeah, it's crazy, we slip down through that stone head's mouth and shoot down a tunnel into our house. I love it. It's a bit harder to climb out of it, but you can always wash the dust and dirt off in the pool.

~The Ceiling/Area Built~
We live under the Rock Pool, yeah, you heard right. Our house is built directly under the crystal clear Rock Pool, and our celing is clear crystal. It acts as skylights, and you can always tell when some one's coming in, as you see their shadow cross over you.

~Living Room/Entrance Area~
This is the room where you walk in, everthing branches from this circle area. Oh, by the way, the tunnel inward curves...somehow and spits you out facing under the rock pool. Funny thing is, you don't feel it curve and you never hit the walls. Yes, this is it, it's just a bare circle of room where everything else comes off it.

~Guest Room~
This is where my friends stay when they come over, it's normally just dark and it's rimmed with vines that act like curtains. For some reason, this part was built outside of the Rock Pool area and doesn't have our skylights. Instead we light it like we light the house at night, with the special plants Skylancey bred to provide light.

~The Lights~
These are our lights, yeah, organic. The plant's flower buds glow with soft light, this lasts for a month and then they bloom, unfortunatly this dispells the light and Sky sorta has to reset them, or we'll be in the dark for another month.

Merri, ah, we just broke up. She came out and said she loved me, and I was shocked. But I liked her, so I asked her out. It didn't last as long as I hoped, but she's decided to wait on boyfriends so you're just buddies.

Phantom, she was the second mare I had met and she was something to look at. A pure white arabian beauty. I fell for her and she for me, and we got together without really a asking. I saved her from a wrangler and then we got to know each other and that was that. We were 'hanging out' one day on the beach when a Deranged Maraquan Acara sort of, attacked me. My bloodwrath was mild that day, but I beat the poor guy up a bit badly. I put him back in the ocean when he came around and then Phan told us to run away. I saw no reason why, but we did. A month or so later, Phan was having family probelms and I invited her over. But I hadn't seen her for a month and my feelings for her changed, I was acting weird and then, when we were outside enjoying the night I broke it off. Phantom went into a flurry and accused me of loving Sora, and then said that her family hated me. So I screamed back at her, we didn't see eachother for a year.

Sweets, oh gods,
Toby! Stop picking up bad habits from me!
Ignoring Elf...Sweets, I have absolutly how she could fall for me. I'm not that great...and she was my best friend, I never saw us together...not more than we already were. She told me while we were flying and I nearly dropped out of the sky, the rest of that day was a blur and full of shock. And then I remember not seeing her for the longest time, so I ran out looking for her. I found her, and then we got in this painful fight and...that was it. She was gone.
Toby goes silent and his eyes glaze, thinking of her. *goes silent as well* Um...Toby, wanna continue?
Oh..yeah, sure.

Lava...eh, Lava is just Lava now. She was the first uni I met outside my house and I fell for her, the stupidness. We got caught in a storm, and stuff happened, but I was still convinced I loved her. So I stumbled across her farm, and met Puzzle. That wasn't great, I could tell Puzzle loved her and I got jealous. But I left them, and went out to see the world. I forgot about Lava for the longest time. 2 1/2 years.



These lines represent my bloodwrath...I let that slip when I was talking to EagleSun and he slapped these across my face. I guess they fit, the only red on me, cept when bloodwrath takes over.
These feathers, from Rikash, symbolize that I can fly and my freedom. Even though for many it resembles that they have connections with humans, I guess it does but for me...I'm free and always will be.
This just represents that I favor my normal horse form over pegasus, unicorn, and alicorn. It also is to show that I have the wildness of a mustang and my blood is half horse.
Slashes on all four of my legs are my status as a war horse within the tribe, and can hurt people easy enough. Blame my father, he taught me to fight.
This is my bond with Elf, it's her personal symbol. I wouldn't have what I have without her, though I live mostly on my own Elf still provides and gets us out of probelms. It also shows I have split personalities, one of Bloodwrath, one of...me.
A leaf to tie me with Persila, and my sister too. My plant mage blood sibling, and my earth faerie guardian. It's showing my loyalty to those close to me.
My partnership with Rikash, and my flight skills. Rikash teaches me more than I already know about flying and acrobatics while airborne. Once again I'm loyal to him, and EagleSun.
These three hoof prints are the mark of my speed. Run like the wind baby! Yeah, basicly, these are just to show that I'm fast. Nelahne and Neelahne know what I'm talking about here. Those were my toughest races...sore for days.
