As you all might know, on June 20th a fun little thing was released. If you've explored Maraqua resently you might have stumbled across an Underwater Cavern where you can fish! There's rare items like fish and shoes, well the shoes aren't so rare but still fun to get. I, Spot, will tell you all the known secrets, but they aren't secrets at all, because they are know. Quite a peridox don't you think? But you didn't come here to hear me ramble now did you.
How - To - Fish
You start with something like this:
And under it there's button that says, "Reel In Your Line". I suggest clicking it.
There you go, you just fished! Exciting isn't it? You probally just caught a Old Rotten Left Shoe or something like that. Also you might have gotten this: "Your pet's fishing skill increases to 2!" congratulations, it happens randomly.
Now I'll bet you're wanting to try again to catch a cute Breadfish or a mysterious Waterfish. Well, I'm sorry, but you're gonna have to wait. The wait time is random, but most people it's 3-6 hours. There is no confirmed time that has the best results. Each of us pets can fish, and each of our wait times might be different.
Important Tidbits
Transfering a pet to another account will bring the fishing level back down to 1. Transfering it back to the first account will give you all your levels back.
Pet colour has no advatage or disadvantage. Every pet has equal chance.
Gaining skill levels is random and on ly hapens when you catch an item. Skill levels affect what items you get, the higher the level, the better the item.
The fish you catch are food not petpets. Don't buy on e for more than they are worth, check the Shop Wizard so you don't get scammed.
About Items
A Bag of Broken Neopoints can be fixed at Donny's Toy Repair Shop, but you will get more money if you sell it in your shop. The Broken Fishing Pole and Broken Sailboat can not be fixed at Donny's.
Reading Fishing Made Easy to any pet and it'll increase 1-3 fishing levels. Read it in a language other than English and all your pets will gain some fishing levels.
Feed your pet Flash of Rainbow Fountain Water and your pet will change to a random colour. There is no way to predict the change in colour. on ce use.
Use Irritable Genie-in-a-Bottle and your pet will increase in 1-3 pet levels, not fishing levels. on e use.
Feed Mysterious Swirly Potion to a pet to change it to a Limited Edition pet. The colour will stay the same if it's avaliable. on e use.
The Avatar
Catch a Titanic Giant Squid and receive the avatar. You must catch the Titanic Giant Squid not having one in your inventory. Don't fall for a scam.
You can catch a Titanic Giant Squid at anytime after Fishing Level 80.
