On a warm July day a plump beautiful Nimmo swam and rested in the bottom of Kiko Lake. She had chosen this peaceful and humble abode to have her children. She buried the many eggs under a heap of cold dark sand, wishing her little dumplings the best of luck.
With a sigh she admired the unsuspicious heep and quickly swam away before anyone saw. That was the last time she would see all her babies together.
Tragedy shook Kiko Lake when one of the Glass Bottom Boats sunk . The massive debris scattered the lake grimly killing all forms of life. The heap of dark sand had been flattened and all hope was lost. When the mother Nimmo heard the news she wept and wept as she relized there was nothing she could do.
She hopelessly visited the "site" of her childrens death, hoping just one egg may survive, but she saw nothing. No eggs, no babys, nothing.
As she wept she carefully took a "pinch" of sand from the heep and placed it in a small jar thinking this would be the only keepsake of her only children. With one deep breath she left her children and the bottle with the pinch of sand and never returned because the pain her hurt to much.
Weeks later two young adventurous Neopians, Amy and Kody, vistited Kiko Lake . While on one of the very same Glass Bottom Boat cruises that took the many helpless lives of the Nimmo. As they browsed the waters they saw two very small turquoise babies swimming about beside a small glass bottle! Kody being the swimmer he is dove down and grabbed the bottle only to see the small pinch of sand inside the bottle.
He and Amy talked about the bottle for many days until finally relizing the Nimmo's had no home and no family and to name them Pinchy in honour of there straying mother and lost brothers and sisters.
From this day on the Pinchy Twins are safe and sound and having the time of there lives!
