On July 25, 2005 at around 9:00 PM NST, duped items were donated to the money tree. Duped items are items that were duplicated (don't ask how, nobody really knows). Anyway, some people were duping RIDICULOUSLY expensive items (like Thyora's Tear, worth 45 million neopoints) and donating them to the money tree in groups of 20 or more.

Someone got their hands on a duplicator program that makes duplicates of very rare---sometimes not so rare----items. These items were circulated through the User Shops, Auctions, Trading Post, Money Tree and even sent to random users. These items are illegal, and innocent people have been frozen for having them, even if they didn't know they were duplicated.

Q) Help! I think I got a duplicated item!!! What do I do?
A) Don't panic. If you can, simply discard the item. However, some items cannot be discarded if they are too rare. If that is the case, put the suspected duplicated item in the Trading Post with a note to TNT saying "I think that this is a duplicated item. Please delete it if it is".
A) Stay away from the Trading Post, Auctions, User Shops, and the Money Tree for the time being. Change your user preferences so that only neofriends can send you items.
A) I don't know and I don't want to know. It is cheating and you can get in serious trouble for that.
