How did you come up with the name, 'bytail'?

Well, it all began in 1995 *past visions appear* when I had a creative writing project for class and for it, I did a newletter with escaped creatures of my own design. One sub-speices had two horns and two tails, kinda deer-like. So I figured, by, it has two horns, tails, it has those too... oh, I know, I'll call it bytail :D Then it became the name of a charater in a novel I'm wrote about a girl who became half wolf. Hehe, by then I had grown fond of the name so when I came to neopets over 5 years ago, I decided to use it for my username.... I just didn't think it would become so well known 0.o

As a sidenote, yes, perhaps some of you think its funny but I do have copyright over the name bytail please don't use it for your own goals.

Oh yeah and pleeease, no nicknames, just bytail....no tail or by.... just my full name k? I hate it when ppl shorten it >_

How many accounts do you have?

Quiet a few but my main ones with pets with charater design and pages are as such. My second main account is crazy_bytail. Meep, don't call me crazy...bytail is just fine ^^; and a third account (my faq's place here) __bytail__ they all have pets and pages worth seeing ;).

Why lie? I'm very proud to be 24 ^__^ and addicted to Neopets..... Erm, why are you all looking at me like that? And as a update, yes, I finally graduated college! (this last fall, 2004)

My B-day is Feb 1 *hint hint* I like presents ehhehe.

How do you draw your images?

I did use good old Window's Paint for the longest time
(if ya remember my scary paint drawing *shiver*).
Now I use my new sweet wonderful Adobe Photopaint 7.
This past few summers, I also got a scanner and a tabby (now I'm broke hehe) Now, these tools do not make you a better artist, they just help you along ;) I also use a good deal of Oekaki these days as well.

What the heck is a Tabby?

www.wacom.com Take a look, a tabby or table is simply a computer pen in place of your mouse. It can be used just like a mouse in all senses and inhanses your drawing online_ /font>

What in the world is Oekaki?

Its a online drawing program. You draw, you post and people comment on your work. www.oekakicentral.com is the largest one out there but there are millions and millions of personal-made ones, you just have to find them ^_~

Can you draw a (request/commision) picture for me...pleasseee?

I get asked this a lot, I'm sorry but I am no longer doing anything of that sort.

They take up too much of my time and Neopets has decided to freeze ppl who do this, I really don't feel like taking the chance, sorry. I still do the random art trade but I must see some of your work before I say yes.... and even then, there's good chance I'll say no. If I don't write you back, that pretty much means no as well.

If I catch you using any of my images without my permission or images that ppl gave me on ur petpage, user-profile, shop, guild or the b. contest, I'll warn u most likely, I try to give people at least 1 chance (depends on what u took and where u put it). But, if you don't take it down or I see you do it again, count yourself on a very nasty list, plus REPORTED and FROZEN. These are my images, drawn by ME and my friends. Your reason for doing it doesn't matter and don't give me the story that you drew it when it looks just like my image *growls* Get your own work thief!

Hey, how bout your story, that can't be wrong right, can I just take it or change it around for my pet?

Stories are just as important to me and if you ever tried to create one, you'd know how much blood and patience goes into making a good one (or trying to) If your pet and their pages carry too many hints of my own or even worse, a spot on match, you will have a very very angry Bytail who will report you for it. End of story.

You just don't get it. Say you just got a puppy, you love the little thing right, had him for a few weeks, named him. And then your neighbor picks him up and takes him away, telling you that its now theirs. Isn't that stealing? Well, you are stealing from me, you are stealing my hard earned work and effort that I spent long hours trying to create. And by doing that, you are hurting me. Why are all the artists and writers leaving neopets? I'll give you one guess as to why... keep it up and this girl will disapear as well

I looked for them, you know, like on sites ^_~

For midis, try searchs like fire midis or water midis
Backgrounds, try searchs by color or object like blue backgrounds or cloud backgrounds

You'll be surprized at the outcome.

Can I use your midis & backgrounds!!

I tried to find midis that went with my pets, it hurts me when ppl just like the tune because its on famious bytail's petpages.

A midi like "I'm blue" I can't stop you from taking because it's a very famious song...but my others. Three words... Find.Your.Own!

How do you know so much HTML and will you help me with it?!

I get asked this a lot as well so here goes. From the start I knew no-one would show me so I taught myself (since I joined neopets over 5 years ago and I'm still learning). It's not that hard, just read everything u can on it and try it out...it doesn't work? Try something else, html is a trial and learn process.

Sites like www.funky-chickens.com & www.lissaexplains.com are big helps ^^

Need more help, try typing in something like 'html help' in ur search engine. There are lots of help sites out there for all levels.

I can't help everyone with their html and I'm sorry to anyone who thinks I'm rude for not helping or making their petpage for them, or uploading a image, etc. Sure I'll help or guide you to a help place but you.must.learn.it. I can't always be there ~_~ and I want you to learn it instead of relaying on someone else to do it for you, that won't get you anywhere in life. And on that note, I can't stress enough, don't take mine!!! Ppl, make your own, please T_T

Ooooo, I love your pets!! How in the heck did you create such personalities for them??

Well thank you ^^ as for their charaters, designs, etc, I'm a writer, I guess they sort of came to me. Some ideas:

I looked at a gelert and thought, what would he look like as a serpent, those long ears would look great with a sail. And what sort of life would he lead looking like that, can't be very common, maybe he's the last of a dead race and because of that, he's a loner. Or a aisha, its magical already, what if that magic got a little too much for it to handle. Simply goofing around with a sock on my hand gave me the idea of Bob-Jake and her crazy gift to turn others like him. Ixis, the faeire version is awesome, usually a female color right? Well, what would a male ixi be like if he was that color? Most likely vain, but perhaps with a dark secert under those smiling eyes.

The whole idea is figure out what kind of pet you want, you don't have to rich to create a killer design for it. Create its personality and go from there... say a kougra with green stripes instead or orange and each one symbolizes a task he must do. There's a whole world of ideas out there for you to explore, just be careful you're not nicking of someone else's.

Sorry, guess I'm just too old for the random 'My pet likes you, can we be mates?' Isn't that a little, well, sudden? You wouldn't go up to a stranger and ask them to marry you, would you? ^^; My pets need to at least know urs, most likely for a long period of time in rps.

Flirting is fun too and if you want something more indepth, give us a shout in messagers or DA since Neopets is a little picky about that sort. If anything really serious happens, it'll be in rp k? (like what happened to Watcher XD) but my pets having childern, know now that's a most problable no, just doesn't interest me.

Sure, my pets love friends. Er...well, most of my pets like friends, Lone_Watcher is a bit too bitter XD BUT! I do not put friends lists up. Mainly because we have tons and tons of buddies, my and my pets both ok. That doesn't mean they're not friends, we just can't list em'. Another thing, if you just post and ask to be friends and that's it, I'll usually just delete the neomail because its not worth my time ok? Rp, that's the key. Its the same as datting and marrage, you wouldn't just jump up on a person and ask them such a serious question without getting to know them first.

I only put up petpages I think took some time and effort. Hard work ppls, not a few paragraphs of words and a little animation you picked up on the site. When there are hundrids of petpages out there 0_0 I have to be picky, otherwise my pages wouldn't load for all the petpage links I have on my pages. If I like ur site, you'll find it up.

How did you get so many paintbrushs for your pets?

Regardless of what some think, I'm not rich. Some are from the faeire rainbow fountain, back when it was open all the time when you signed up for promos, like with Forgotten and Rogue. Other brushs friends and fans gave me, like Watcher's purple brush and Sea's fishy one. And some, yes, if you can beleive it, I saved for. Drift's brush and potion took me 2 years to save for (with the added help of donation). And I saved my rear off for Ever's as well, got it through the trades.

Anthro means - walks on hind-legs, hands instead of hooves and paws, more humanish
