You're strolling along Terror Mountain in a blizzard so fierce, yet you do not stir. Instead, you continue to go along the so called 'trail' you're on. The coat gracing your shoulders begins to feel like ice, speeding up the process of hypothermia. Eventually you see a shadow within the merciless storm of snow and hail. It is a very feminine shape of a Xweetok, with a cloak getting tossed among the winds. You reach out your hand, hoping for warmth, but instead a hiss follows and the shadow begins to speak.

Who are you and what is your business trespassing?" it growled in a voice belonging to a very angry female.

I-I am but a wanderer, and I think I'm lost," you honestly reply, trying your best not to get the shadow angry.

Does the snow have mercy? If not, why shall I?" the voice replies.

You fake fainting and fall to the snow. You hear a groan and pawsteps nearing. Feeling weird, a jolt goes through you and light flashes while the voice said something among the lines of,

Oh Aricatos, take this 'wander' and I to the makeshift shelter."

You dare not open your eyes. "I know you're awake, oh wander of the mist," the voice chimed politely.

Politely? Was this the same voice? You open your eyes slowly, eager to see the voice's form. Instead, you found yourself covered with a black, silk cloaked splattered with snowflake markings. You look around to find yourself in a cave, with a small fire in the center. Pawsteps near as you rapidly turn around. A snow Xweetok slowly sauntered in, with a similar cloak around her shoulders. She wore a dazzling silver tiara that glimmered with her hair. Her hair was a light sky blue—almost white with ice strands here and there. It draped over her shoulders and two thick strands were sticking out a bit on the top of her head, while part of her seemingly whiteblue bangs lay limp among her face. Her pose was as fit as could be as her eyes sparkled in the campfire with a beautiful cyan grace. Her eyelashes glimmered, complimenting her entire form.

You stare for a bit until finally asking, "Why did you take me to shelter, if you spare no mercy, oh…um…xweetok…of…um…mercy?" you manage to stagger out. She chuckled in a mesmerizing way. It was an ability of a demon.

It needs work, oh tender one beguiling of the Goddess," she replies smoothly.

She stares at you and bows, afraid that this mortal might have some sort of power.

My name, oh lovely chime of day, is Princess Mystic of the fallen kingdom of ice—the fallen kingdom of Letracia. And you are?"

Her head rose. "Wow! A princess?" you exclaim like a child that came out of a candy store. Not intimidated any longer you reply, "My name is guest, but that is only a temporary name though." She chuckles again. She narrowed her eyes and began to think.

If this mortal has any potential, I have to examine them. I need to stall.'

You look confused while she was deep in thought.

Mystic," you say, "can you tell me a little about you?" Mystic smiled and sat down, knowing you just brought up the perfect way to stall.

Very well, oh mysterious one of temptation." You sit up with the cloak still around you and neared the fire while Mystic continued to look you in the eye. Something was weird, but you fail to notice and listen to the story.

A while back, long before the Goddess had a slim thought of creating you, I was but a young kit. The Kingdom of Letracia was my home. It was my serenity. However, I could not do anything, despite the fact I was its princess. Visitors would come and go while I stared out the window, gazing among the horizon as the sun went down and the snowflakes began to dance. I was taught in my room; manners, magic, and defense. It was rather boring. Everyday, day by passing day, I would just stare out the -blocked- Until one day, my mother slammed my door open and used magic of her own to drag me to the floor from a distance by my ear or hair. I would never cry after I was used to it.

What do you think you are doing, Mystic Moon?!' she would yell at me. She glared at me in the eye and growled as she dragged me towards her. She hated me. She despised me. She would rather I be dead. I was a mistake apparently. She would warn me over and over; not to make contact with anyone outside my room. My room was my life. She constantly threatened to destroy me on the spot if I were to step out of that cubicle. However, one day, I heard one citizen of Letracia from outside my window shout,

Bring out the princess! Overthrow the Queen!" over and over again. I smiled with my eyes dilated. It was my 16th birthday. I cried ice tears as they streamed down my face with joy."

Mystic looked at the sky for a moment and took a gulp. You lay on your belly and continue to listen, feeling a little bit of sympathy for her.

I ran to my window and pressed my face against it. It was a young Xweetok—his face not visible. He just kept shouting. My mother of course ran into my room—furious. Her eyes were in her demon mode--"

You gasped as she stared intently as if she said something wrong. "Your mother was a demon?" You ask. She widened her eyes as she continued the story, disregarding the question.

She glared at me intently with eyes that spelled death. She ran up to me and threw me against the wall with her staff named Reminescent. She then lifted me off the ground and began to cry beneath gritted teeth.

What in the Goddess's name is wrong with you?! You are a WORTHLESS piece of trash to this nation! Why would a lowly commoner even BOTHER with you? Why can't you be more like the Prince Ushasuu of the neighboring kingdom?!" she screamed in my face. I felt her icy spit lash on my face as my ears went down and my eyes slammed shut. She finally let go of me with a groan. She stormed out the room with the two guards always there, her cloak dragging behind her. I heard her say, "Order an execution for that one resident," she murmured. I laid flat on the ground, sprawled out and cried. It was all my fault. No, it was all this 'Ushasuu's' fault. If he didn't exist, then my mother wouldn't do this. Who was this 'Ushasuu?' I didn't care at the moment. I gritted my teeth as I heard the sound of guards chasing someone outside. I dug my face in my pillow when I finally got the courage to open my window and scream from the top of my lungs,

Please! Do not faulter by never hearing my voice, I am fine, and I will rule you with kindness the best I can when my mother leaves to meet the Goddess!"

I then hid on my bed, expecting the worst when my mother would come. I closed my eyes tightly again and heard cheers. They were cheering for…me? My head rose as I gazed out the -blocked- I smiled when I heard and saw a small group—getting larger by the minute—chanting my name. By the title of Queen. Not Princess. My mother immediately stormed in my room with her staff armed. I shivered as I dashed out the window with my own staff, Ludescent; which I no longer have. I scurried among the bricks of the elegant castle. She hurried after me, with her own agileness, snarling under her breath. I was frantic and yelled,

Um, Ludescent, please, please, please save me somehow!"

The entire crowd below stared and were continuing to chant my name with the title Queen. I closed my eyes as my mother commanded her staff,

Expell it, Reminescent!

At that moment, my plea did nothing. Expell is a way to get rid of any form of attack if you master it. I have yet to. I practice everyday, but it wears me out and I come out a failure."

Mystic bowed her head and hit the rock on the ground. You look up at her as you sense the feeling you have felt throughout your entire meeting. She continues to talk before you have any questions.

I have never been so scared in my life. She had mastered that ability and all I could do were petty spells. I have improved over the hundreds of years, but back then, I was a sitting duck. Before I knew it, my mother had her staff to my neck. The crowd began to jeer and throw things. I started to sweat as my mother glared, her demon blood coursing through her.

Give me one good reason why I shouldn't end your disgrace right now!" she screamed. I began to get panicked and told her the truth.

Because like it or not, I am your daughter!" I screamed. She paused for a bit then I continued, "this is all because Ushasuu is a better behaved royal, isn't it?! Let me guess, Is he even more POWERFUL than me? Or is he a scum? Well, why do you want me to be like him so much?! It's ALL his fault, mama!"

She backed down and fit through the window again with her staff, her bangs covering her eyes. Everyone cheered again. I smiled, turned to face them and began to wave. The cheers got louder. I got to sleep peacefully for the first time that night. Not even thinking about Ushasuu."

She got closer to you with an eager look on her face. Her eyes still looked as beguiling and cold as ever. She then closed her eyes and continued.

The next day, I dared to go to the guards and demand that they let me out of my room. No response. I finally used my staff to slam the door open. No one was there, instead the hallway was engulfed by flames. My eyes widened in horror as I screamed. I ran to the window and opened it. Everything was in flames and two armies were fighting. I recognized my mother at the lead of our army, casting magic and healing allies while shouting commands to her subordinates. I got out of the window before being engulfed by flames. I had nothing but my tiara and my staff with my pajamas. I rushed onto the rooftops. I swayed back and forth thinking of what to do. I was stress ridden. Who started the attack? Mystic peered as far as she could and saw an elegant, fire demon draped in adornments—obviously royal. Was this Ushasuu? I immediately ran to my mother's army and asked what was going on. She actually seemed to care.

Get out of here, Mystic Letracia! This battle is between me and that scum over there!" She pointed to the demon I saw earlier. He too was giving orders and whatnot. I growled. Ushasuu I immediately assumed. I looked back at my mother only to find her gone from her post. Everyone was confused in our army and we were losing. I held my breath and stood on top of the pedestal with my staff, hoping to boost my soldiers' moral. I closed my eyes and took a huge inhale. I then shot open my eyes, the icy glare staring straight ahead.

Section 1, east against the leader beneath the fall of the water!" I commanded, trying my best to use my mother's military code. It worked. A little of my soldiers went north and avoid conflict while the front lines were annihilating the troops in the back. I smiled. The chaos. I loved it for some reason.

And Section 3, north between the river's echo! Move it!" They obeyed. I smiled. We might actually win this until I heard my mother scream."

You stared at Mystic and wondered what she was going to say next. She narrowed her eyes as her lips formed a perfect upsidedown curve.

I immediately turned my attention to the source. All I saw was my mother dangling off the roof of the fallen castle while the leader of the other army was simply walking away. I jumped off the little platform and dashed to the top, briefly brushing past the mysterious leader. I ran to my mother, false fear in my eye. She looked at me with caring eyes, not demon.

M-Mystic! Please, pull me up!" I took a second to look around the battlefield. I then stared at her. Our people were dying because of a war she had caused. Little did I know this war will continue to present day and beyond. I then glared her in the eye and spit in her face. Her staff had been broken in half and here she was at my mercy. I smiled and whispered to her, "What in the Goddess's name is wrong with you? Why can't you be more like the Prince Ushasuu from the neighboring kingdom?" My eyes were dead serious as the glare found a way to be permanent on my face. My mother looked at me with the expression I wanted from her; mercy. BEGGING for forgiveness. She slid as my soldiers' blood continued to be spilled. I laughed loud—the first time it sounded so cold. This was the day the snow ceased falling. I dashed to the back of the retreating army and made my way to the front. I heard calls behind me like 'What are you doing, Princess?' and 'That's walking into enemy lines!' I ignored them and finally made it infront of the leader. I bowed my head and simply said,

Thank you, oh wise one of them all, Ushasuu" The first time I had used my manners to a stranger. He surprisingly replied one simple sentence,

No one by that name exists." I smiled and cheered and ran back to my army. They looked at me all miserable, begging to be healed. I had a lot of fixing up to do."

You stared a bit at Mystic. Demon. She had said demon. Forget her mother, "You're a demon?!" you exclaim in shock. She gritted her teeth, knowing of prejudice. She nodded and retaliated, "So, you want to leave now?!" She sounded stressed and annoyed. You shake your head and smile, "Actually, I want to know what happens next. I know it isn't a happy ending." Mystic was shocked and nodded.

I thought I was home free, considering that I had just been told Ushasuu didn't exist. I was ruler then and everyone cheered when I was crowned. I had no idea how hard ruling a kingdom was. Everyone thought I was the best until I decided to attack the neighboring kingdom. Everyone was against it. I was determined to get revenge on what they had done to my kingdom. They followed me despite what they believed in. The pure bred Ice Demons like myself were in the front lines. The half bloods were in the center whole the rest were in the back. We were to attack at dawn the next morning after preparations were complete. I was older and more of a magic user then. I believed I was ready. While we marched on to Lavatria—Ushasuu's kingdom."

Mystic fell silent as she smiled. You decide not to hear the rest as her eyes changed to a look of pure evil, but yet they still glimmered. You then turn to her, realizing she was a demon after she had told it. Demons were dangerous and it was haunting you. You then bring up a question to change the subject as hypothermia starts to slip away from you.

Likes

So, I can guess you like snow, right?"

Mystic gave you a look of confusion. A quick subject change and she was prepared.

Actually, I like numerous things," at that she smiled and made a list:

I like:

Snow
Ice
Chaos for sure
Fighting
Learning magic
Death
Despair
Destruction
Sleet
Winter
And the misery of others

You stare straight on at her, finally realizing you are not safe in her presence. You dare not make her angry or give her a reason to stop talking for the fear she would get bored. You then bring up;

So, what are your dislikes?"

Mystic laughed and smiled, playing along.

Dislikes

I dislike numerous things as well, for examples:

Ushasuu

Fire
Owing someone
Persons in general
My hopefully dead mother
Traitors
Happiness and Happy endings
Rude people
Life
Acceptance
Pity
Recreation
Ignorance
Summer
Heat
Weakness
And Love

You gaze on and bring something up; "Speaking of love, do you happen to have one?" You suddenly wish you hadn't said that. She snarled and stuck up her head.

LOVE

Ha! I will NEVER have a love! Who could ever penetrate my ice cold heart? No one is worth the time," she starts to laugh in her maniacal way. You shiver and make your list in your head.

Name: Mystic
Gender: Female
Likes: Lots of things
Dislikes: Lost of things
Love: She doubts
Age: Too old. Over hundreds of years. But appears to be only 16 or 17.
Personality: One word; Cold but polite at times. Evil too.
Powers: Various forms of magic. Obviously strong.
Status: Demon.
Family: Mother is fairly mean. Dead I guess. What about her father? Or any siblings?

You go over your mental notes as she stares at you; and frowns with a look of disgust. You look up now that you are fully warm.

I would like to know mor—" but you are interrupted.

You are worthless! Get away from my sight for wasting my time!" she screams; her analysis complete. You reach out your hand and plea for more explanation.

Maybe some other time. Aricatos! Take this useless wanderer to their destination at once!"

You tilt your head in confusion. Before you could respond a bright light surrounds you. The last thing you see is Mystic's glare of pure hatred as the winds make her hair flow ever so gracefully. The next thing you know; you are at your cabin.
