New Design and a New Layout!
Wow, there hasn't been an update here since '08. Well, after some thinking I've decided to give this page a somewhat new layout as well as a revamped design for Zythrel (though not too different from his original design). Some of his old art is still on the page but will be replaced soon and moved to the artwork section in due time.

Stars gather on a moonlit night,
The Radiant Shadow to be your light.
Swift as the wind across the plains;
The lightning among the storms and rains.
Zythrel is his name, might you know,
One of solitude and sorrow.
Night has already fallen after making it through an eerie forest, you find yourself staring upon a vast meadow. Stars illuminate the navy skies of night above fields of green, moonlight relecting off the blades of grass as you search for another route back home. Hearing nothing but your own footsteps, the sounds of crickets and the wind rustling, you suddenly see a blue light atop a hill in the field; maybe it will be someone who knows the way? As you approach the mysterious light, the figure appears to be a dragon-like Neopet. A Krawk? Or maybe a Scorchio? Suddenly the figure whirls around quickly, it's neon-blue gaze meeting yours; eyes like electricity itself.
Uh, sorry if I startled you; I tend to avoid people, he says as he reverts from his defensive posture. From the look of it you just want to get back home, huh? Sorry, but I can't help you there, you must have stumbled here on accident from the woods. By day the woods are just like any other, but dangerous creatures lurk in them after nightfall. But since you were brave enough to confront me I guess I could tell you a bit about me while we wait for sunrise.
By the way, who are you? So it's guest then? Okay, good. Now where to begin...
Every Neopet has their own story, mine is documented in this journal, though it's not the happiest of pasts.
Chapter I
I come from a clan that has been hidden from Neopia for centuries. As you can tell I am no ordinary Buzz, and yet a cursed one as well. Life was always diffucult for me, just because I was cursed with a dangerous power; I couldn't help it. The only ones who really loved me were my mother and sister, just as long as they were with me I was happy (My father could've cared less about my existance). My mother was kind and wise who taught us many things; about our clan, the seasons, and even the stars. I was really heartbroken when she passed away from an illness, me and Syrvali were still young when it happened. The whole clan, aside from my sister, thought I was the one who caused her death; that I brought a bad omen upon my own mother. I'd have to prove them wrong; perhaps if I could control my power then maybe they wouldn't think so ill of me...
Chapter II
Every night I'd sneak out to a glade not far from home to practice controlling it; the element of electricity. I was beginning to learn how to tame it quite well, but everyone thought I was up to no good. One day when heading home after nightly practice, one of the warriors caught me and alerted the whole clan. My sister tried to get them to reconsider but was unable to stop them. Accused of treason and labeled a traitor, I was cast out into the outside world.
Chapter III
I wandered aimlessly throughout Neopia looking for a safe place to stay, far away from people and civilization. People seemed to fear me and I wasn't really welcome to the public, nor could I go back home because of my exile. Had to steal to get some food, and only travel after sundown. Perhaps it was my dark appearence and nocturnal nature that made them think no good of me. Did they think of me as a creature of darkness? Apparently so; I was nothing more than an outcast...

These are the people who took me in as part of their family, the one's close to me who accept me for who I am.
Our loving owner: gryphen
Our caretaker who loves to draw and, as you can see here, build petpages for me and her other Neopets. She's a 16-year-old artist with a passion for fantasy, nature, and animals. She hates art thieves though so I suggest you avoid stealing any of her artwork. As well as that, she also dislikes petpage theft so hands off the coding!

I rarely ever see Maatius, who's usually at his oasis in the Lost Desert. He either spends his time reading about ancient history and caring for the many petpets that have taken shelter there, or searching for some more tomes and scrolls in Sakhmet's archives to read. He is also friends with the an archivist named Rajeb. |

Syrvali is my real sister; a rather peaceful Buzz living in a woodland with the butterflies. As you can tell, we are different than most, dragon-like in appearence with a glowing tail-tip to light our way in the darkest of nights. She is shy to those whom she is not familiar with, but surely if you try to talk to her a bit more, she'd be one of the kindest Buzz you'll ever meet. And if it wasn't for her, I probably would've never found this family. |

I feel sorry for Vakomar; he was betrayed by his own hero, who took away those dear to him and the home he loved. And even through that, he tries his best to not dwell on the past but is torn between a simple life (to forgive and forget), and getting revenge against his hero. I guess sad pasts are something we can relate to. |

Nocturne, my Surzard, is the only petpet I have ever had so far. I found him one night washed up on the shores near Altador, lost and far away from his homeland; the Maraquan sea. He has followed me ever since then, could he possibly think of me as a friend?

The Golden Firely Award
I finally got myself an award for my page, featuring a firefly. Unique insects the fireflies are, this is awarded to artists with creative petpages and awesome art featuring their pet of an underrated species--ones that aren't that often drawn by most artists, like us Buzz for example. You can apply for this award so if your intrested, please follow the guidelines below. And remember; don't take this award if you're not listed in this section. I want to see effort put into your petpage; premades or just a bunch of dolls/blinkies/adoptables thrown in together will not be accepted and having someone's stolen work on it will get you into SERIOUS trouble.
