The Destiny Anew adoption agency started not long ago as a collaboration between my dear friend and owner Arte and her friend
Leila to help stranded pets find loving new owners but has since been integrated into the Official Neopian Orphanage, a wonderful gathering of foster parents from all over Neopia."
The rules
Everybody seems to think us foster parents are awful people because of the rules we impose. Really, it's only because we are very attached to our fosterlings and want to see them go to good homes. You'll see my rules are very reasonable :D
1. Your account must be at least 4 months old. This shows that you are an active user and that you on't plan on leaving soon. Besides, you can only adopt certain rare colours and high level pets if you are 4 months old.
2. You have to be active. You don't have to log in everyday, but at least twice a week.
3. No chatspeak please. Smilies are fine ^___^
4. My foster has a name and a gender. Please use them.
5. Side accounts are fine
6. You have to have less than 4 pets on the account you want to adopt my foster on. But
please do not abandon your own pet to take in mine! That would defeat the whole purpose.
7. An application is required. You can do either neomail (multiple neomails are great) or a petpage because it's easier to put everything on it. I'm NOT obliging you to make a petpage application. There's a link to the left to a great Neomail Application guide =)
8. I will be looking at your accounts, pets, shop, guild to see what kind of parent you would be for my pet.
What to put in the app
1.You must put the
Pledge of Good Ownership somewhere in your application:
If I am chosen, I, (your name), pledge to be the best owner I can be for my new Neopet, (pet's name). I understand all the sadness that he/she has already been through, and so I will provide everything he/she needs to be happy. I promise to be a friend to my new Neopet and never ever ever put him/her through the pain of neglect or abandonment again.
2. Please list all your accounts.
3. Name the account you want to adopt the pet on.
4. Include the word 'kitten' somewhere in your app so I'll know you've read the rules :P
5. Tell me a bit about yourself on Neopets and your plans for my foster.
6. Give one of your pets as an example of how my foster would be treated if they were to be adopted by you.
Well, this is all for now, although I think I should add more, but I'm still hoping it won't be necessary.
