Cautiously, you peer around the corner, into n equally dark room. One with a single candle burning in the corner, giving a small circle of warmth and light. Quietly, you creep over to it, snatching it up in your hand and swing it in a wide arch, surveying the contents of the room. All you can see are blank walls, but there seems to be something else in the opposite corner. You tiptoe forward, holding the candle in front of you, so as not to run into anything. Then, in the corner of your eye, something can be seen. Something gleaming and white. Curious, you take a step closer, studying the thing.
In the flickering light of the candle's small flame, you can make out a shape. A closer look reveals that the shape is a mask, and a creepy one at that. Although, it seems to be cut in half and broken a bit at the bottom. A small semi-circular slit where the eye should be must be the way to see out. The mask is so odd, you can't help but touch its sleek surface.
