1/25/09 - Okay, Dia has been an awful girl in updating the Lace. My sincerest apologies for my laxness and business. Please re-submit all pets not added (ie, you didn't receive a NM back), and I'll do my best to get to them in a timely fashion. Sad as it is to say, it's quite likely that long breaks in the Lace being updated (such as this one) are highly likely, and that I cannot really help that due to things happening outside the virtual universe. That said, I'll do my best to keep things running better. Love you all, my dark darlings. (Remember to direct all Neomails to FionaVanyel and not deceptively or the_night_rose.)

6/13/08 - I'm making a few changes here, m'dears. First and foremost, some of you may have noticed the shifting about of my pets to the account deceptively. This is the new home of the Lace. However, I'm changing the contact to my main account, fionavanyel. Please direct all Neomails there, as I no longer have time to log onto this (or deceptively) very often. My apologies to all those who I've missed adding, and let me remind you that after ten days, if you have not gotten a Neomail from me, you need to re-submit your application. Please, though, if this applies to you at this update, send your new app to me here so that I'll definitely receive it. Thank you all, and I'm terribly sorry for the inconvenience. However, going into college complicates one's life considerably. (D8)
Also, several pets have been found to be frozen. How sad...but ah well. They've been added to the Abyss section.

4/8/08 - Yeah, it's been a bit. One pet removed, one added. I've updated prior to this but haven't stuck it in the news. So yeah.

2/13/07- My least favorite holiday is coming up...but that's not the point of this, now is it? Nope. Anyway. Several new additions to the Lace have been made, and more changes are still yet to come. I've been busy, darlings. My apologies.

12/23/07- All right, loves. I've updated a wee bit, and changed some things around. More changes are yet to come, but I figured an update would be best. Scroll down and find out what's different. (It should be obvious.)

12/4/07- Gosh, has it really been so long since I've updated? In any case, we've got a few new denizens for the Lace, and a few have left. Yep.

10/30/07- The day before Halloween. This is the favorite time of year for many of our denizens, and in honor of it we have a few new ones. Please greet and/or welcome them, and know that when I have time I'll be implementing a few changes around the Lace. I hope they'll be for the better- I know they'll make my job a little easier. (Easier is REALLY what I need right now, too. =.=)

10/17/07- I'm sorry, but In the Shadows is getting to be a bit too much for me. I'll update when I can, but being on Newspaper at school is NOT conducive to updating webpages. In any case, we have a couple of pets who've left the Lace, but one new addition.

9/29/07- I've been bad, I know. I'm updating now, though, so be happy! Things have been way too hectic. Throw rocks, sticks, whatever...I'm a bad, bad Dia! Just don't throw dung. o.0 We've had several new pets added to the Lace (I lost track of how many), so check 'em out! I'll be updating more soon, I've just had a lot on my plate, such as getting the idea down for my 'organization'- but you'll find out about that later. Hehe.

9/04/07- Sorry for my lack of updating, and slacking off on the In the Shadows stuff. I'll get to it, I promise. In any case, we have two new additions to the Lace today. Hehe...

8/22/07- School has begun, so I'm sorry if I don't update as much as I should. In any case, bad news. Three pets are being withdrawn from the Lace, with no reason given. Say farewell to Lynie, Lafrila, and and Katerinadia. Also, on a better note, we have a new button, also courtesy of Qazplo_t_m. Enjoy!

8/16/07- New banner, dears. Thanks to Qazplo_t_m, you have yet another banner to choose from! We always appreciate these. A thousand thank-yous for helping our devious cause.

8/12/07- All right, the stats of what I am searching for and what positions are open remain the same, dears. We have four new additions to the Lace this time, darlings, and I am working on the August In the Shadows, so never fear, it will get done. Ta for now, my devious darklings. *dark laughter*

7/29/07- The play is over, so I'm pretty much back. Okay, we have four new additions to the Lace, as well as our Tender slots being filled. This leaves one Entertainer slot open, and we sadly have had one pet leave the Lace. Xych is no longer among us, for reasons unknown. I am still on the lookout for enemies for Kicepe and Iyleah (preferably good pets for their opponents), as well as more slaves and henchmen for Iyleah. Whew, that was a lot of typing...in any case, enjoy the updates, my dears.

7/24/07- All right, dears, I must offer you my apologies. This week I am rehearsing for a play I'm in, and thus have little time on the computer between that and life period. I am updating and replying to Neomails as fast as I can, so be patient with me. Saturday things should return to some semblance of normalcy. I'll do my best to keep up... By the way, the part I'm playing is the wicked stepmother in Snow White. Excellent role for me, don't you think?

7/18/07- We have another new addition to the Lace today, and I have news, my dears. I will be gone from Thursday, July 19, to Sunday, em...July 22nd, I think? In any case, any mails received during that time will not be replied to unless a miracle occurs and Kovu lets me on her comp while there's Internet available. Farewell, my dears- I'll be leading horses in circles and being stared at.

7/17/07- One new addition to the Lace was added today, and she is our newest Entertainer. Lupin is a talented magician, and we await her skills with great anticipation. Oh, indeed...

7/16/07- Well dears, we have one new addition to the Lace. A delightfully deceptive one, Xych works for the Faeries on the surface but reports back to us. Wicked, isn't he? *soft laughter* (Iyleah: I suppose so...) Wow, it's been a while since you commented. (I've had better things to do.) Like? (*slight frown* Nothing of your concern.) So...what have you been doing? (Dia, dear, do you like your head's current resting place on your shoulders?) Er...yes...shutting up, then. *twitch* (That's better. See how easily your humans can obey?)

7/14/07- In all actuality, I've had nothing to report to you all recently...until today, that is. We have a new affiliate, entitled 24 Karat, which is a Directory for Gold and Silver pets. Our esteemed Patroness is now a part of it, I'm sure you'll all be delighted to know. Also, we have a new Tester- Jeranreincarnation. He's a Tender as well...I suppose he's always there when Iyleah needs his skills, then. Also, Gorrinius is no longer a part of the Lace. Let me take this opportunity to remind all that pounding pets is discouraged highly here. We don't like it at all. Several pets have also been frozen- check the Lost section for them. Also, Rine's human needs to contact me- it appears I have her link wrong. In addition, check the In the Shadows pet of the month. I finally got my tail in gear and updated it.

7/04/07- All right darlings, we have eight new additions to the Lace today, if I haven't forgotten any or said 'em twice. Check the previous post for repetitive news, since I fully intend to relax for a bit as I've been updating for about three days...meh. I'm back from the beach, and we have two Tender and Entertainer slots open. A new Tester has been added to the ranks, delightfully. Our dear Hifreann is a Tester now, though he shan't be locked in a cage. Oh, and as to the 'In the Shadows' stuff I've been neglecting, May, June and July are all going to be meshed into one big three-part award. I just have to get the trophies made. Ta, dears.

6/22/07- My apologies, dears. We have several new additions to the Lace, as well as two new Testers that work in tandem. Also, a few pets have been withdrawn from the Lace due to their humans' requests. Another reminder: late August or early September, if the Pound is up, begins my move to deceptively. Iyleah is still looking for her slaves and henchmen, and I'm still looking for enemies for her. Enemies for Kicepe would also be excellent, and we have a Tender slot open, as well as a Tester slot and an Entertainer slot that is newly freed up. As another note, I go on vacation for one week tomorrow, so I'll clear my inbox in preparation for the Neomails. Beach, here I come!!

6/02/07- Mm...we have three new additions to the Lace, my dears, as well as one new affiliate. Eh...refer to the last news for all the reminders again, as I don't have time at the moment to stick 'em up. So sue me. Meh. In other words, if I don't get to bed rather quickly, I'll turn into a pumpkin. Some Keeper of the Lace I'd be then, eh? So goodnight, my dears, and I'll catch the reminders tomorrow. If possible.

5/28/07- We have one new addition to the Lace. Welcome, I suppose, to the cannibalistic Catakhlysme. Once again, my dears, I remind you: late August or early September begins the move to deceptively. Iyleah is still looking for slaves and henchmen...and (rather against her will and unbeknownst to her) I'm looking for enemies for her as well. Enemies for Kicepe and perhaps even Zikorro as well would be greatly appreciated...ahem, anywho, we still have two Tender and Tester slots open, and a new Guardian ('cause I forgot the slot was reserved before I filled it, so I made a new one. So meh.).

5/27/07- All right darlings, I'm BACK!! Did you miss me? Probably not, but hey, I'm just glad to be back. News, news, news, then. Today we reached 100 pets!!! *throws black confetti* Hehe...this is awesome. I really, seriously never thought we'd reach that goal... Anywho, since I've been gone (déjà vu much?) we've had nine new denizens to the Lace. Excellent, the ranks are growing. Hm...reminders, that's right. Late August or early September, if you'll recall, everything starts its move to deceptively. Iyleah is still searching for more henchmen and servants, and I'll hopefully soon be getting at least a section for them on her petpage up. Three (o.0) Tender slots are open, along with two Tester slots and one each of Guardian and Entertainers...whoever reserved that one Entertainer slot, please contact me, since I've lost your Neomail. If any of the other slots were reserved, please let me know- I'm still getting caught back up. Sad, eh? And in other news, I'll hopefully soon be adding a few more of my dark darlings to the Lace...one in particular that Iyleah hates. (Iyleah: *growl*) =.=;
Pt. 2- Mm...I suppose I should inform you all that we have one new addition to the Lace, the vampyre Eternithium. Also, our Entertainer and Guardian slots have been filled, along with one Tender slot. That leaves two Tender slots open and two Tester slots. I'm sure someone out there has a ravaging, terrifying beastie for the Tester slots, and surely someone has a servant we can put to work?

5/21/07- I'm soooooo sorry, all denizens of the Lace and their humans!!! I've been up to my eyeballs in work (aka AP US History exams), and have barely been able to zap my lab rat on my lab account. Other troubles have been dogging me too, like my grandfather getting cancer (he'll be fine, no worries!) and my cousin's cancer getting worse. My sincerest apologies mostly to those I RP regularly with- things have been hectic, as explained above. I'll contact you if possible, and if I don't, please Neomail me. Once again, I apologize. I'm trying to get things back in order and updated, but most likely the brunt of it will have to wait until the exams are over. In other words, it would be an incredible help if you could wait until after this Thursday (May 24) to add pets to the Lace. My sincerest apologies again, and reminders will be put up next update. Please contact me if your pet is not added to the Lace by Thursday, 'cause I'm pretty sure I missed at least one.

4/29/07- Okay, we've got two new denizens to the Lace. As a reminder, the Tender and Tester slots are still open, and Iyleah still wants more servants and henchmen. And I've decided there won't be a In the Shadows pet this month, as it's just too late to get one up and I haven't had time up until now. I promise, one will be up in May- don't kill me, please. x.x Also, please recall that in early August or late September, the movement of everything to deceptively will occur. *cough* Finally, thanks to those who've told me I'm doing a great job with the directory- it really is awesome to get that sort of feedback. *bows* I hereby dedicate the section of the Lace that will be eventually coming to all of those who've cheered me on, even if it was at bubblegun-point (or muffin-point, in one particular case...)- thanks, you guys! *to self* Remember, remember, the fifth of November...

4/24/07- Yeah, yeah, I know, it's been a long time between updates, but I've been busy. Sorry, ya'll. Anywho, seven new denizens have been added to the Lace, and 5380 has been removed from the Testers and replaced by DV. I know his stats are too low, but I'm allowed to make an exception if I wish, and Puppeh should hopefully get his stats up soon... *nudges Puppeh* Ahem...anyway, the Tender slot is still open along with the Tester slot. Iyleah's still looking for more servants and henchmen...oh, and one last thing. This has been a great account for my villains, true, but it's just not the best. As a result, in late August or early September, the movement of all here to my new account now aging (deceptively) will begin. Yes, I'll remind you often...it'll help me remember too. XP

4/14/07- Six delightfully dark darlings have joined the ranks of the Lace and haunt its halls. We have, as a result, had an Entertainer slot open, which is now reserved, and a Guardian slot already reserved fill up. A Tender slot, however, is open for anyone to fill. (Iyleah: And I am still searching for more henchmen and servants. The job is difficult, but greatly rewarded, I assure you...)

4/11/07- Two more pets have been added today, one being my darling Tester Dol. My new section on Testers is up, too. Wish to go take a look? Hehe...can you find the link? And yes, we still have a Tester slot open. Look at Dol to see what my basic vision for the Testers was. Iyleah is still, as ever, desirous of more servants and henchmen. I am still working on the rest of my additions to the Lace, and we'll see how you like the current one. Au revoire...

4/09/07- We've got a new Tender, and Iyleah's got a new *cough* henchwoman. SehwarHerret serves the Patroness now...her forces are growing. We've also reached one of our goals...yesterday, but I forgot to put it up. We have now had ten pets of the same color- Darigan. Riptoa was the deciding pet, and our first Draik. Hehe. Also, the Enterainer slot has been filled by Rhosey. She's a Singer, Dancer, and Acrobat- how amusing this will be. Please note a Tester slot is still open, and Iyleah is still desirous of more servants and henchmen. And never fear, my dear dark hearts, I'm working on a few new things to add to the Lace. One has to do with the Testers, and one has to do with...eh...something else. It'll all come to light (or darkness, I suppose) once I've got a little more time on my hands to work with it. Until then, dears, fare thee ill.

4/08/07- I will not apologize for being gone this time as it was due to circumstances beyond my control (like having no access to a computer...grr...). I will, however, say that we have four new Lace denizens and one new Tender. Another slot has opened up, however, so please feel free to apply for it. Our Entertainer slot is reserved, but won't be for long. It will be filled shortly, I'm sure. In any case, I've no time to stay and chat...I've developed a new obsession with the Employment Agency, and must go...appease it. *shrug*

4/01/07- Hm, it seems Neopets wishes us to think they've taken the Battledome down and Neopound wishes us to think it's shut down. Most likely all an April Fool's prank, my dears. In other news, one of our Tester slots has been filled by 5380. He's not exactly a model Tester- I mean, he's rather intelligent- but he has his moments, and that's when Iyleah uses him to test new denizens. His other stats, however, are outstanding. My own Tester should be up soon enough- he's about what I'm looking for, so he'll be a decent example. Have fun, my dears, pranking one another. Hehe.

3/31/07- Another section has been added to The Black Lace out of necessity. I am sad to say it had to be added, but it did. This section is to honor the Lace members who have been lost to the abyss- ie, frozen for whatever reason. It can be found here if you have any desire to see it. As a result of TaxsBeast being frozen, another Tender slot is open. A reminder, too, dears- we still have an Entertainer slot open, as well as two Tester slots. One new pet has also been added to the Lace, and Iyleah has herself a new henchman. She now ranks Spyer among her minions. (Iyleah: Indeed. He is now also my pupil in a few matters. A wise decision he's made, indeed.)

3/30/07- We now have three new additions to the Lace. Also, idiot me forgot to add another Tester slot, since two are supposed to be open, not counting the one reserved for me. Just a reminder as well, we have one Tender, one Entertainer, and two Tester slots open, as well as Iyleah's requested positions for her 'servants' and 'henchmen.' Read the last news post for more information on those two things. (Iyleah: And if you've any wit about you, I'd advise talking to Hiyei. He's very entertaining. I quite enjoy his company, but any lacking a quick wit would be sliced to bits in a moment.) Indeed. Heh. I think Iyleah's found herself some entertainment... (He's an excellent pianist, too. And his voice...) Hm... *thoughtful look*
Pt. 2- Our Tender slot has now been filled. Jeranreincarnation is a spiteful little creature, and he's even run into trouble with the Guardians a few times. I'm not sure why Iyleah is allowing him to be a Tender... (Iyleah: *soft laughter* It's not as though he could harm anything. I mean really, he couldn't touch me even if he got past the Guardians. He's as good as harmless.) Of course, m'lady...

3/25-28/07- One new pet has been added to The Black Lace, children, and the Guardian slot is no longer reserved...it's now taken (coughfinallycough). Hiyei is our newest Guardian. (Iyleah: Ah, Hiyei...how intriguing he is... *thoughtful look*) Ahem... In addition to that, I have another announcement. I've decided to create a new 'position' that our denizens may apply for. This is the slot of Tester. Testers ensure that both our Guardians and our denizens are competent warriors and truly wicked enough. Details are here, and the new section is here, my dears. Also, Iyleah desires a few more 'slaves' and 'henchmen' among her minions. If you are interested in one of your pets being either, Neomail me, and perhaps we'll RP it out. Her servants are preferred to be very submissive, like Zikorro, and never talk back. Henchmen are desired to be powerful and competent, naturally. Finally, new Tender and Entertainer slots are open. Feel free to apply if you fit the rules.

3/22/07- We have one new addition to the Lace, and one new link button. It's animated, so I'd advise taking a look. Thanks again, PluvioPhobia!!!! Hehe...we're being populated by murderers... (Iyleah: Finally, I don't have to suffer under the influence of do-gooders and wanna-be-Jerans.) Indeed. It is getting more enjoyable. (Now if you'd only kick that Lupe out, I'd be happy...or at least content...) Now, now, Iyleah, you know I can't do that unless he angers a Guardian. (Yes you can, you just don't want to.) *ponders* True, true...oh well. Live with it, my dear. *wicked laugh*

3/17/07- One new pet added today, too. Gaara is a bit possessed, I'm afraid, so be a bit careful around him. No other new news, really...we'll see what happens next, my dears.

3/15/07- One new pet added today. Need something done, a bit of dirty work? Call on Uncharitable- I think he'll get it done, if you impress him enough. Enjoy yourselves, my darlings...

3/12/07- Two new pets added today, children, along with one new affiliate. Also, our Tender slot has been filled by the timid Lulucce. Try not to frighten him- he might spill your wine, and we wouldn't want that, now would we? *smirks*

3/10/07- Well, our first Pink pet has been added in. Likorixh seems determined to rule Neopia...how typical, I suppose. (Iyleah: She can't rule what I've destroyed.) I guess not, dearie, but who's to say you'll get to it first? (I say, that's who.) And your word stands so firm? (Of course it does. Ah well, at least she's delightfully evil. And how entertaining she'll be, a Puppetmistress.) Indeed. And just a reminder, dear children, a Tender slot is still open. Please, by all means, apply for it. We don't like being short-staffed.
Pt. 2- I forgot to add this in earlier, shamefully, but with the addition of Sinful_Wrath on February 28th, we reached our goal of ten of one species. This species was Lupe, and thank you all for helping us achieve this!!!

Normally I wouldn't ask for forgiveness, seeing as I normally don't care, but I'm sick at the moment, so I'm in a rather not-wicked mood as of now. Never fear, I'll be back to my old self soon... *cough* I hope... Anyway, we are now joined by the thief Overt in the Lace. Watch your pockets, or something might go missing. The newest Guardian slot to open up has been filled, I'm afraid, as it was reserved. Emerenciia is our newest Guardian, and it seems she's already got experience in this field, my dears. Beware. Ah, and a new Tender slot has opened up. If you wish to fill it, simply let me know, darlings. The winner for March's In the Shadows pet is Hifreann, for the Most Creative Description. He's the only one, as of yet, to give his own description. (Iyleah: Hm...he's got quite a temper when he wants it, too.) Oh, so you're finally back, eh? (Indeed I am, and not too happy at the moment. At least Zikorro is back at the moment.) At the moment, yes. Who knows when she'll run off again. (Hmph. She'd better not, or I'll have that dratted Lupe's hide.) Hm, what is it about you female pets and Lupes? You fell for one yourself. (Oh, shut it.) Hehe...

2/28/07- A new pet has been added to the Lace today, to balance out the loss, perhaps. And yes, I realize tomorrow is the first day of March. As soon as possible I will get up the award for March's pet of the month, never fear. Enjoy your respite, mortals. Iyleah will most likely begin her commentary again soon, and then you and I both will be tortured.

2/27/07- A sad thing has happened today. A pet has been removed from The Black Lace. This shall be used as an opportunity to remind you: we frown heavily upon repounding. Only enter pets in the Lace that are your permanent pets. No pets up for adoption, please. Try to be considerate.

2/25/07- One more pet added today. It seems we have a thief in our midst. Watch your pockets.

2/23/07- Another pet added today, and our Tender slot has been filled. Ashllyn is the newest Tender in our midst. What a wicked Kougress. How delightful!

2/22/07- Another pet added. We now have a Darigan Krawk among our numbers. Wonderful, eh? Three pets away from fifty, my dears. Excellent. Remember, darlings, we still have a Tender slot open. We'll soon have yet another opening up, the instant we hit fifty pets.

2/18/07- Two more pets added. We now have a Royal in the Lace. How...well...not sure how to put it. Just remember, my dear children- no one in the Lace is considered truly 'Royal' save the Patroness. You have no obligation, my dears, to use any manners whatsoever. Don't you just love my rules?

2/16/07- Mkay, we've got a couple updates. Nergal's description has been updated, and Ganconer has received a Petpet who is now in our listings. Wonderful, eh? That's really all at the moment. Heh.

2/14/07- Valentine's Day, it is. Neh. Don't forget to give your sweetheart a Black Rose or something else of the sort to show your true feelings. We also have one new pet added to the Lace.

2/13/07- Newest- The Entertainer slot has been filled. Aingil has applied and received the position. She plays the harp and creates illusions...certainly entertaining. And remember that tomorrow is Valentine's Day! Get your special someone something delightfully dark to show your affection.
Pt. 1- Another pet added yesterday, a Halloween Lupe. Hilt is the newest addition to our frequenters, and quite an interesting one. With two sides, a wicked one and a 'good' one, there should be plenty of entertainment for those of us here at the Lace. On another note, we're only seven pets away from the next goal of fifty pets. Keep 'em coming! Hm...and just for those who always wanted to know...did you know, as of today, the coding for The Black Lace takes up sixty-two pages in Microsoft Word? Insane, ain't it? Talk about driving a woman crazy... (Iyleah: As if you weren't insane enough already...) Ha ha, very funny. (Well, you are proud of your insanity.) True...I suppose I can take that as a compliment. Still annoyed about Zikorro? (*scowls* What do you think?) One word: PROTECTIVE!!!! (Am not.) Are too. (*fire ball appears in hand* Am not. Do you really want to argue?) *stares at fire ball* Nope, nuh-uh...at least not when my clothes are flammable. *twitch*

2/11/07- Two new pets added today. Yay! That makes forty-two total pets in the Lace. (Iyleah: Yes, and one of them's a Pirate, too...) Finally decided to comment again, eh? (I've been too occupied with Zikorro to do so.) Ah, still determined things aren't going right with her? (Hmph. Indeed. I don't trust him...I didn't rescue her just to have her snatched up by the same type that hurt her.) Iyleah, you're losing your edge. (I am NOT! I merely have a good servant and have no wishes of losing her.) Riiiiight......

2/10/07- Finally we have some activity! 5380 is the newest pet to be added in, and the first Robot. One Tender and one Entertainer slot have now opened, so...yeah. Hehe...you young mortals have been steering clear, I see. Wise choice.

2/05/07- One new affy. I still advise looking at the In the Shadows pet- I think her story's pretty good.

2/04/07- One new pet added. Ganconer is another pet all are advised to steer clear of...especially women. (Iyleah: Hmph. You won't catch me near him and under his control.) Riiiiiight...... (*dirty look* Since when have I lost it around a male?) Since...Korrinu, maybe? *smirk* (Korrinu is different. He WILL be mine.) Think that all you want, dearie. Maybe one day you'll convince yourself. Anyway, the new section has been completed. Congrats Rhosey, you're the new In the Shadows pet.

2/02/07- One new pet and one new affy added. Mm...I've got something special that I'm about to begin. It should be up by later today, but I'm not sure, so I won't say what it is. Heh.

2/01/07- A new month has begun, one many at the Lace hate. This month is associated with love, which is the exact opposite of the hate that dwells in many of our denizen's hearts. Nonetheless, we too can love, although it is oft twisted. In any case, what I have come to tell you is this: two new pets have been added two the Lace. The Earthshaker seems an excellent new addition, and Ashllyn delightfully wicked. We are growing, in leaps and bounds, but growing nonetheless.

1/31/07- One more denizen of the Lace has been added. Yay! That brings our total up to 34 pets. Excellent.

1/30/07- Even more denizens have been added to the Lace today. Six more have been added to our growing tavern, and two Tender slots have been filled, one just as it opened up. Hopefully The Black Lace is now staffed enough to keep everyone's cups filled and their minds entertained. Sesha only hopes that Kovu, who reserved the Guardian slot, will hurry up and get Hiyei in here...Iyleah's not happy about the slot not being filled. In other words, Kovu, get your tail in gear!!!!! Hem...so anyway, Kuya and Tax are the new Tenders. (Iyleah: I quite like Flame, personally. He's easily manipulated by a beautiful woman? Well, I have no problem putting my skills to good use.) Ah well, he took the risk of being manipulated when he chose to come here, didn't he? (Indeed. Now shoo, child. I have business to attend to- matters that do not concern you.)

1/28-29/07- Sorry I couldn't update yesterday, but for once I was swamped with new pets to add. The Grand Total of pets and affies added is...*drumroll* Eleven new pets and seven new affiliates! WHOA. That brings the total number of pets in The Black Lace at this moment up to twenty-seven. This means we met our second goal!!! Once again, we have the promise of new pets to come. ^.^ Sheesh sessha's happy. We have a new Entertainer, Lenanshi, the Faerie Gelert. She joins our ranks as a Dancer. Also, another Tender slot has opened up, but the Guardian slot opening now is reserved, I'm afraid. It has been for quite a while. Whew...lots of new stuff to check out. Go visit our new affiliates and check out the new Lace denizens.

1/27/07- We have three new affiliates thus far (as of 9:05 NST) and a guarantee of more to come today. Wonderful! We also have several possible new members to The Lace, which quite excites me. Iyleah would probably interrupt me at this point, but she's not here at the moment...thankfully, she's off spying on Kovu, who's getting a new pirate captain. Curiosity killed the cat, and Kougras are feline...in other, un-Neopets related news, I had to sing 'Star Spangled Banner' at a basketball tournament today...talk about nerve-wracking. Even professional singers have trouble with THAT song, and I had only one day's notice, never having sung it before. I now know the meaning of your knees knocking. Yes, the un-flappable Dia got nervous. Hmph. Well, I did okay, so I'm fine now and ready to retaliate should you bug me. Heh.
Pt. 2- Three more affies now...that makes a total of six today! We also have an updated pic and RP status for Warner, our first Guardian. Take a lookie at his pic.

1/25/07- One new denizen of The Black Lace has been added today, as well as one affiliate. Also, the Tender slot is now filled...I'm afraid you'll have to wait until we reach twenty new members for another slot to open. ^.^ Enjoy yourselves, my pretties...

1/22/07- We have our first Mutant in The Black Lace now. If you need corpses disposed of or...hem...parts for a spell, Hifreann's the one to call. He seems to be the sort to not cause trouble, and he should get a good deal of business among all these dark souls. (Iyleah: Indeed, he will be quite useful. Zikorro, see specially to his care. I may need his assistance at some point.) Knew you'd like him. (And why wouldn't I, darling? After all, bone dealers are so useful. You just never know when you might need one. And when the next Guardian slot opens up, he's MY first pic.) Ah, you've reminded me, Iyleah, we still have a Tender slot open. If anyone would like to apply, I once again encourage it, whether you be member of the Lace already or not.

1/21/07- One more pet added today! She's Wicked-themed, too. Gotta love Elphaba. No new affies as of yet, but the day is still young. What fun we'll have. Hehe...

1/20/07- Another pet added today. Yay! Well...I would say what they say in all the other directories, like "Please welcome Aingil to The Black Lace," but considering our denizens...I'm not sure who'd actually listen. (Iyleah: Well, she seems a kindred spirit...I think we could get along.) Finally, you accept someone. (Heh...well, Dia, I've finally found someone to talk to. Be glad.) Oh, trust me. I am. I may house you villains and be one myself, but that doesn't mean I want to be the only person you talk to. If that ever occurred, you'd be locked out. (How cruel...what a relief. You're not softening up.) Of course not. Whyever would I do that? I wouldn't be hosting the Lace if I'd softened up. In that case, this would be a pretty girly directory, wouldn't it? (Hmph. Just make sure that doesn't happen.) Of course not, m'lady...hehe...

1/19/07- Wow! Today, we have two new affies and two new pets!!!!!! Mostly, they've been coming in one at a time, but two at once to me is awesome!! Also, we have a new Entertainer. His name is Altadueran, and his skill is Knife-Throwing. Intriguing. I just hope he has good aim and doesn't kill any of our denizens. (Iyleah: That would be quite interesting, to say the least.) I didn't say it wouldn't be interesting, I merely meant I don't like our reputation being tarnished by deaths. (Ah, so THAT's your excuse...) *growls* Shut up! I like watching a good fight just as much as you do. (True...)

1/18/07- Three more affies today, and guess what???????? One more pet added. Ferilliex makes number 10! Our first goal has been reached! YAY!!!!! (Iyleah: Don't hyperventilate, Dia...it wouldn't be pleasant for the rest of us.) I won't, I won't. Anywho, there's a simple addition to the 'adding your pet' part- hope you guys like it! It should clear some things up, in case you have an unanswered question. Finally, another Tender slot has opened up today, as is the rule. Even if your pet is already entered in the Lace, feel free to submit for the Tender position.

1/15/07- Sorry to be so long in updating...but not much has been going on. Over the past two days, though, we've gotten three new affies. Yay! *sigh* I'm still on the Great Affy Hunt...hopefully soon I'll have lots of members to go with my new affies. At the moment, my hunt has led me to the Void...where I am now going through the directories...this might take a while...

1/11/07- Three new affies thus far today. And it's only 1:00 pm NST! Also, we have another addition to The Lace! *cheers* (Kicepe: What a fool...) I'm not a fool, dearie. I'm just happy your mistress is finding so many dark hearts to plot and plan with. Meh. (Iyleah: Indeed...our dear Obsidian has a point, Kicepe. Please try to be at least somewhat welcoming to our new guest...unless, of course, he gets on my nerves. In which case...) Enough! Iyleah, Kicepe, please. The news is MY domain. Remember that. (Iyleah: *behind Dia's back* Oh, of course, darling. Until I decide to take it over. My input will be heard...come along, Zikorro. We have much to do.)

1/10/07- Six new affies today. Yay! One of them even seems to be the sort Iyleah won't mind affiliating with...the Shapeshifters of Neopia. Check it out...'tis for Lab Ray pets. Not much else going on today...hopefully we'll get some new denizens soon. *hopeful look* And maybe reach the first goal? We only need three more pets and the first goal will have been reached. Maybe soon.

1/09/07- Four more new affies added. Also, we have one new addition to The Black Lace's halls...Captain Warner, the Pirate Krawk! His pic will be up as soon as I've been given the link. (Iyleah: A pirate, eh? And a captain too? Still not a match, I'll wager, to MY Korrinu...) Erg...I thought we agreed the news was my domain? (*sinisterly innocent look* And why would we agree to that, Obsidian? In any case, having a pirate around does make the Lace feel a little bit more like home...) *under breath* well I suppose that's what I get for housing villains...and being one myself. Heh.

1/07/07- Four new affies added thus far today! Also, I've tweaked a few small things about this scrollbox and added my goals above this.

1/06/07- Hehe...fixed the dates...I had the year wrong. o.0 I guess that's what I get for starting this at the beginning of a year, eh? Anywho, added a new link today. As of right now, the links are in order of the time they were added. That may change...but I'll need lots more links to merit that.

1/05/07- The Black Lace officially opens! Yay! I've been working on it for three days now, just on the coding. It's been hard and long, but I hope it will be worth it! I've added in Zikorro, Kicepe, Iyleah, and Zhephern, as well as all my banners...beware the TEXTAREA codes, children. They're completely and utterly evil. You don't wanna know the things they've done to me...*twitch* Although I advise changing them to TEXTAREA, they work far better then.
