Today, you thought, would be no different from any other day. An average day, where things happened as they always did. No reason, did you have, to suspect that you'd hear a story of anything as bizarre as a man trapped in another world for most of his life.

In your daily routine you tend to cut through a forest to get to the lake beyond it. Of course in your time you had heard many an astounding rumors about the things inhabiting the lake and just yesterday you heard from a man passing through that the forest and lake had a very strong connection to something other than what could be seen. For a moment you dwelled on this, took in the information. You were so distracted by your own thoughts that the only thing that stopped you from heading headlong into a tree was the figure that ghosted past you, literally passing through you and the tree. You could barely muster up the strength to keep standing, none the less run off. The translucent figure solidified and looked around.

Is this it? Am...I finally home? The reptillian man with coal black skin and white eyes and mouth looked towards you. Is this the real world? Are you human?

You ran off screaming.

W-Wait! Please! You continued on, tripping and only then able to collect yourself for a short bit. You spun around and noticed the man hadn't followed you at all.

WHO ARE YOU!? You shouted at him, hoping he didn't come any closer.

I'm Zechs. I've...been lost for years...i've been wandering for a long time trying to find my home. You were nervous...but there was a part of you that was saddened to hear such a story. Didn't explain how he ghosted through you, but you decided to hear him out. You got up, dusted yourself off and approached with caution.
