The Lithenim Arctic Empire is the main (and only) source of electricity of the Terror Mountain community, located in the Arctic Circle.

It was founded by Eduardo Lithenim back in 1902, more than a hundred years ago. Originally, it was called "The Lithenim Power Company," but was later changed to "The Lithenim Arctic Empire" due to its rapid progress. This became a family business and survives up to this day under the control of Raoul Lithenim.
Over the past few months, the company has been riddled with complications and intrigues in regards to the frequent blackouts and power shortages experienced by the Terror Mountain citizens. Rumors have also circulated that the powerhouse would be increasing its taxes, resulting in an uproar amongst the people. This intensified when the plans for a new powerhouse to be built by the Malco Family were stopped supposedly due to their being threatened by the Lithenims if ever they continue setting up their business.
However, the company has denied all allegations, and continues to prosper amidst these scandals.
Eduardo Lithenim
He was the core founder of The Lithenim Arctic Empire (then called "The Lithenim Power Company") He was originally from the small village of Pine Hills, but moved to the big city, the Arctic Circle, to start a small business which later grew to become the most successful one in the whole of Terror Mountain.
He passed on at the age of 70, but not before turning over the company to his son, Devin.
Raoul Lithenim
Raoul is the current owner of the company, and, along with his family, resides at a mansion in Westview Lanes, a prominent village in the Arctic Circle. He is purely a businessman and would often be seen running about with his case, going through office to office to arrange meetings, while surrounded by a dozen bodyguards.
He is quite lenient to his family, however, and would often agree to his children's activities, whether they be asking for permission to go shopping... or parachuting off a cliff.
Alice Lithenim
If Raoul is the head of the company, Alice is the head of the family. She is basically a family-oriented type of person who would rather stay at home rather than attend to the various demands of the company. She is the exact opposite of Raoul, often strict in terms of disciplining the children. She dislikes a bunch of things and would often impose restrictions just so they wouldn't do whatever she dislikes.
Alice currently owns a small coffee and tea shop at Frostine Street, Arctic Circle.
Marco Lithenim
Marco is the eldest child in the Lithenim Family, and would often be seen practicing for various sports along with his other friends. He is the generally the social type, although to some people, he would be seen as somewhat arrogant and egotistical... which he is.
Aside from sports, his secret hobby is cooking. He would often spend afternoons at the kitchen of the Lithenim Coffee Shop to prepare meals for the customers secretly.
Caitlyn Lithenim
Caitlyn is the second eldest in the Lithenim Family. Like her elder brother, she loves sports, though her favorite would be ice skating. She, however, is more competitive to the point that she chases people away because of her attitude. She and her brother also have this feud going on between them; in truth, Caitlyn was the one who started the fight due to her "I'm better than you" argument. They are often seen competing for the smallest things such as the fastest racer, or the fastest cleaner for the dining table.
Franklin Lithenim
Franklin is the third eldest of the Lithenim clan, but out of all the members of the family, he is probably the most soft-spoken of them all. He enjoys surfing the web, downloading whichever songs he likes, editing music... anything techie-related, actually.
Zaryph Lithenim
Zaryph is the youngest of the Lithenim family, and would often be seen writing a new poem, novel or whatever. Like her brother Franklin, she is pretty much quiet, but when she's in school, well, it's a different story. Zar could be described as a rebel... a silent rebel, at that.

The Band Spinning Free! (Woot!)
Being the youngest in her family has its perks. The spotlight is centered on her parents and her eldest brother and sister most of the time, so Zaryph is often given more freedom... because she could get away with it.
When she is with her family, she is the quiet type, along with her brother Franklin. She is known as the writer since she's often seen writing novels, or if not, daydreaming about novels all day long. Zar could also be seen reading a book or collecting them for her thousand and one book collection (which she could certainly afford since her family is the richest family in the whole of Terror Mountain.) Aside from the literature scene, Zar also loves music--from the classics, to jazz, to pop, to rock. Anything would be fine for her so long as it's decent enough.
Her relation with her family is somewhat a messy one. For one thing, she is closer to her father than her mother since her mother could be often "demanding" at times. She often dislikes her sister Caitlyn because her conversations with her would often turn into a "who's better" argument.
She doesn't like her brother Marco much because he would often play tricks and just be basically annoying (although one mention of his cooking would shut him up.) Talking to her brother Franklin would be like talking to a wall. He would often ignore her due to his being too concentrated in the computer games.
Though her family life may be a bit of a mess, Zar's school life is as awesome as ever.
She is a member of the Literature Club, as well as the Music Appreciation Guild. Zar is part of the top section in her batch, and has high grades in all subjects (except in Math and P.E. because she totally fails at both.) She has a group of close-knit friends, is generally well-liked by everyone (except for a certain group of people whom she hates with all her soul :D)
However, her school life took a turn during the Music Appreciation Guild's "Battle of the Bands." One band, Spinning Free, was having trouble with their vocalist. Apparently a fight ensued between Karla (vocalist) and Tristan (drummer) which resulted in Karla quitting just before the show. That caused the band's lead guitar, Varrien Blackdale, (who is a close friend of hers) to ask for her help, knowing that Zar could sing and knows the song well, though she doesn't show it.
Zar hated the idea, but she agreed... out of obligation. The show went well, and the band was commended for doing a good performance. She thought that was the end of that, but apparently, the Arctic Circle's committee of Music and Arts were part of the audience and, as the fates would have it, loved the show.
In short, they landed a record deal.
End of story (and the start of a more awesome and better one :D)
