Welcome, me hearties
You're vacationing in Krawk Island, the number-one place for pirates to hang out. Walking around the port, you see a ship apart from the others. Well, if you could even call
it a ship. Boards were splintering. The masts were torn. Water spewed through multiple leaks all over the shipt. A tarnished plaque labeled the ship the "Silver Gallion", and a moldy statue of the petpet was molded at the bow, right below the helm. On board, a crew of about twenty muscly Neopians were being directed, either cleaning or repairing the seasoned ship. A tall, strong-looking female lupe was barking the orders out, her voice strong and commanding. "Oy! Get back to work!
Suddenly she turned and looked down at you, a grin appearing on her face. "'Ello, and who might you be?
About the Buccaneer
Full Name: Zarkut Charlotte Blackwood
Goes by: Zar
Date of Birth: 21st September 1841
Personality: Tough, strong, rude, greedy, sneaky, untrustworthy, sly
Family and.... Acquaintances
Donne: Zar's beloved older sibling. When they were young, they were separated when their father's merchant ship crashed. Now reunited, the two siblings pilfer unaware ships to their hearts' content.
Deiv: Deiv is quite the... "annoying child", to put it in Zar's words. She dislikes how "annoying" he is, and wishes he would stop "bugging her".
The year was 1852. It was summer, and an unusual night for those living in Krawk Island. The usually sunny, usually cloudless day had turned stormy and dreary. However, business went on as usual. No one paid much attention to the coming storm.
At the port, a large, exquisite looking merchant ship was just about to set sail. Crew members hurried to pack the last few crates of goods into the ship before it left. A tall, older man oversaw the crew with careful eyes, his hat just covering the tops of his eyebrows. Suddenly, two children ran up to him, a young girl and her brother.
The girl, about eleven, seemed to be begging the older man for something. Eventually his look softened, and his face broke into a fatherly smile as he reached down and wrapped the girl into his arms. The boy, not much older than the girl, looked up at his father as he patted him on the back. The man uttered something, and the two siblings raced up into the ship. Chuckling, the man followed, and soon they set sail.
The sister and brother, named Zar and Donne, beamed as they waved at the people on land from atop the ship. "We're finally going!" Zar enthused, obvious excitement radiating from her like a wave. "We're finally going on one of daddy's trips!
Her brother seemed less excited. "I dunno, Zar," He said. "it might not be as exciting as you want it to be." Zar pouted. "Why do you have to make things so un-fun?" Her brother sighed.
Never mind, let's just explore, okay?" He watched his sister run away, into the captain's quarters. He sighed and trudged after her, the feeling that something will go wrong still churning in his mind.
Two nights later, at about midnight.
Zar awoke to horrible banging sounds from outside her room. Startled, she threw off her blanket and started to run to her brother's hammock, squealing his name. Her toes barely touched the floor when the boards cracked, spewing water into the room from all directions. She screamed and backed into the wall, her heart pounding. She yelled her brother's name a few more times, but got responses from no one. The next thing she remembered before everything went dark was sounds of the ship splitting apart, and frantically trying to swim away from the wreckage to somewhere safe.
She woke the next morning, slumped over a piece of driftwood. Rubbing the sleep from her eyes, she looked around, and saw nothing but blue. The sea stretched for miles, and there was nothing in sight. She felt a lump at the back of her throat, and tears starting to form under her eyes. Where was the ship? What had happened to her father? What had happened to Donne? She shook her head. Now wasn't the time to break down and cry. She needed to get to somewhere safe. She spent the whole day calling for help, but had no luck. She fell asleep under the stars with a heavy heart.
Oy, now what do we 'ave 'ere?
Zar sat up, startled, nearly bonking her head with a strong-looking gelert, who was looking down at her. "W-wha?
She looked around in wonder.
She was in another ship, though it was much different from her father's. The room she was in was much more cramped, but it might not've been the size that was the matter than was the large amount of valued goods in every nook and cranny available. Things were piled floor to ceiling, and if you weren't careful they would topple down on you like a priceless avalanche. She looked down at herself and made a startled noise. The torn nightgown was replaced with a pair of brown silk trousers and a white silk top, fitted with a darker brown corset. She focused back onto the gelert. "Where am I? Who are you?"
