Using the Neopets Toolbar with Firefox 2.0

So you've downloaded the spiffy new Firefox update and you've found that your Neopets toolbar (and most of your other extensions!) don't work, right? Well, never fear, because you can easily fix your problems!

Step One
Use your favorite search engine to find the "MR Tech Local Install" extension. Install that and restart Firefox.

Step Two
Go to your Tools menu and select "Add-ons." A new window will pop up listing all your extensions & themes.

Step Three
In your Add-ons window, select the Tools menu, then select "Make All Compatible." Firefox may hang for a moment, but that's okay. Once it's finished, restart Firefox again.

Step Four
Enjoy your toolbar and the rest of your extensions!!

If you've installed Firefox 2.0 fresh and don't have the toolbar installed

Maybe you've just heard about how great Firefox is and you want to give it a try. Unfortunately, when you try to install the Neopets toolbar, it won't work. Neopets programmers are working on it, but for right now the toolbar is not compatible with the newest version of Firefox. There is, of course, a way around that though!

Step One
Use your favorite search engine to search the term "oldversion" and go to the first site that comes up. There you can download Firefox 1.5. Download and install Firefox 1.5

Step Two
Download and install the Neopets toolbar. You should have no problems doing this on Firefox 1.5.

Step Three
Go to the Firefox homepage where you will be able to download Firefox 2.0. Download and install Firefox 2.0

Step Four
Go to the top of this page and follow the instructions to use MR Tech Local Install to make your toolbar work properly!
