Introduction
You know, I doubt there will be anything here.
Profile
Name: Zafira Duke Kingsley
Nicknames: Zaffy
Age: 19 years
Petpet: Gawain the Huggy.

Gawain was an ordinary Huggy at one point in his life, until he was cornered and bitten by a vampiric Huggy. Gawain's personality completely changed, and he prowled the streets of the Citadel, hungry for blood. When he attacked Lord Darigan's guards, Darigan ordered Gawain to be locked up in the dungeons. There Gawain stayed until Zaffy pulled off a heist at the castle, where she found Gawain. She rescued him from the dungeon, and ever since the two have been an inseperable pair.
Height and Weight: 5'9", 143 lbs
Scales: Deep purple with black stripes
Eyes: Red
Other: Three spikes on either side of head
Personality: Zaffy is a neutral Scorchio. She doesn't like meddling in the affairs of others, but she's a bit greedy and will get her claws on anything she wants no matter what. She follows her instincts, not the directions or warnings of others.
Story
NOTE: This is not Zaffy's real story. This is her pet spotlight entry that I put here. The full moon sat over Meridell Castle like a Draik egg in a nest. Outside the castle walls, armed guards patrolled the grounds, and more guards paced the roof in anticipation, spears and bows at the ready in case of an intruder.
I don't think that anyone's gonna try and break into this castle," a green Grarrl said gruffly to another guard.
You never know," the guard, a red Draik, replied. "Once I was off my shift for two minutes. Two minutes!"
And?"
When I came back, half the guards had been knocked unconscious. The conscious guards were babbling about a cloaked figure that had stolen seven bags of jewels. If that figure comes back, I'll be ready for it."
The green Grarrl gulped and raised his spear.
Swooosh.
Who's there?" barked the Grarrl instinctively.
Swooosh.
Caaaaw!
Just a Crokabek," the Grarrl said to himself.
A large Crokabek fluttered down and perched itself on the edge of the castle roof. Its eyes glowed red as it gazed at the Grarrl.
Reveal yourself, impostor!" the red Draik shouted, charging at the Crokabek all of a sudden.
Redwing, no!" the Grarrl said. "It's just a harmless Crokabek!"
Nice try, Greentooth," Redwing replied, "but that thing is a monster!"
Caw!
The Crokabek fluttered its wings angrily and rose into the air. It swooped down and delivered a fierce kick to Redwing's snout, and the Draik fell unconscious.
Redwing?" Greentooth said, terrified. "You OK?"
CAAAAAW!
The Crokabek kicked Greentooth in the temple and he too fell to the ground. The other guards squealed in terror as the Crokabek flew at them, screeching angrily.
Someone throw a spear at it!" a blue Wocky shouted. He tried to fire an arrow at it, but the Crokabek belched green fire and incinerated the arrow on the spot. The Wocky screamed and dove behind a statue, and the Crokabek swooped at the other guards and knocked them all senseless with its talons.
I will leave no witnesses, the Crokabek hissed in a raspy, feminine voice. She swooped at the blue Wocky, headbutted him, and sent him careening off the edge of the castle roof. As his screams turned into a splash when he fell into the moat, the Crokabek landed, and her body began to flicker. Within moments, she had transformed into a Darigan Scorchio. She had a leather courier's bag slung over her shoulder, a belt with a dagger in it on her waist, and wore a Palace Guard Tunic, ripped-up black jeans and leather boots.
Much better," the Scorchio said, and whistled. A small blue creature bounded out of what seemed like nowhere and scurried to his master's side.
Chirrrrup," the creature, a Huggy, trilled.
I dealt with them, Gawain," the Scorchio smiled.
Good work, Zaffy, a raspy voice said inside her head.
Excellent," Zaffy said. She turned to the statue that the blue Wocky had cowered behind and gave it a small push to the north. The statue slid aside to reveal a small, square hole big enough for Zaffy to slip into.
We have no time to waste, Gawain said. Any minute now the guards surrounding the castle will be swarming up here.
Zaffy nodded and slipped into the entrance that the statue had covered. Gawain took a final look at the area and jumped into the secret entrance after Zaffy. As soon as he and Zaffy were both in the passage, the statue slid back over the entrance.
------
The Scorchio and her Huggy crawled through the passage, which was dark, dusty, and smelled of rotten food. It wasn't an ideal way of sneaking into a castle, but it was the least conspicuous way.
How long until we reach the treasure room? Gawain hissed.
I hope not long," Zaffy said. Her voice echoed around the passage, so she immediately lowered her voice to a whisper. "I've only used this passage a couple of times."
Gawain's question was answered about five minutes later, when the passage began to get warmer and soft orange light filled their visions. Up ahead, there seemed to be a square hole in the wall, which was where the light and warmth was coming from.
You go first, Gawain," Zaffy whispered.
Gawain nodded and went ahead, Zaffy right on his tail. Gawain stood at the edge of the entrance and beckoned Zaffy to come closer.
It's amazing, he said.
Zaffy poked her head through the entrance and gasped at what she saw. It was a gigantic room, and the entire floor seemed to be glittering. The floor was completely covered in silver, gold, bronze, and a variety of weapons, some of which Zaffy had never seen before in her life. The only problem were the guards patrolling the entire area-about a dozen of them-and they all seemed to be the biggest, meanest and toughest guards that King Skarl could hire.
How will we get past those guards? Gawain said.
We'll have to be very careful," was Zaffy's reply.
Can't you turn invisible or something? Gawain asked.
Zaffy snorted. "I wish. I don't think it's within my power to turn invisible."
Sheesh, sighed Gawain. And a rather large Darigan Scorchio would be very easily spotted in a room full of treasure where all the light would bounce off her scales.
Zaffy wasn't listening. She was gazing down at a pedestal in the middle of the room, where a large sword gleamed. The blade was jagged and made out of gold, and the hilt was blue with a red grip and a red jewel at the end.
Gawain, is that what I think it is?" Zaffy gasped.
What, a treasure room? Gawain said.
No, that thing on the pedestal," Zaffy replied. Gawain's gaze fell on the pedestal and his eyes widened.
Skarl's Sword, he said in awe. The legendary royal sword, as old as Meridell itself, and a very powerful weapon.
You've been reading the Giant Book of Legendary Weapons too, haven't you?" Zaffy chuckled. Gawain nodded, but his smile fell almost instantly.
If we make a move toward that sword, the guards will be attacking us faster than you can say "meatballs", he sighed, and we don't want that.
Scout ahead," Zaffy told Gawain. "Distract the guards while I try to steal the sword. If the plan backfires, I'll create a smoke screen and we'll tear out of this place, but we at least have to grab a goblet on our way out. I'm not leaving this heist without something."
Gawain nodded and slipped out of the passage. Zaffy watched him climb down the wall, digging his claws into the stone, until he reached the ground. The guards were still busy parading around Skarl's Sword.
RRRRAAAAAR! Gawain said, and picked up a sizeable Neopoint that probably weighed about five pounds. He threw it like a discus into the nearest guard's helmet. It made a satisfying bonk! as metal hit metal.
Grrrrr!" the guard, a huge, ugly Tyrannian Skeith, snarled. Gawain paled as the guard raised a sword that Zaffy could have comfortably slept on and brought it down with a great crash near him.
HELP! HELP! Gawain screamed as the Skeith kept swiping his huge sword at him. The other guards grunted stupidly and attacked Gawain as well, but none of their weapons hit him. They seemed to be telling Gawain that they had big weapons and they weren't afraid to use them.
Gawain, I'm coming! Zaffy said in her head so the guard's wouldn't hear her shouting. She leaped out of the passage and spread her wings to their full wingspan. The guards looked up, and while most of them stared as Zaffy swooped down on them like a giant Barbat, the ones with spears threw them at her. One grazed her shoulder, while the others stuck into the ceiling.
Zaffy! Gawain screamed. The Tyrannian Skeith was still swinging his sword at him, so Zaffy swung her tail like a club and knocked his helmet off.
Uhhh?" the Skeith grunted, and the last thing he saw was Zaffy's tail sweeping into his face and knocking him senseless.
Hey! You there!" a red Grarrl snarled. "Get out of here!"
Zaffy belched flames at him, and he fled with the plume of his helmet on fire. The other guards weren't as easily frightened as the ones on the roof, however. They charged at Zaffy with their weapons at the ready.
Gawain, grab the sword! Zaffy hissed in her head.
The sword! Gawain repeated, and scurried over to the pedestal.
What d'ye tink yer doin'?" a purple Skeith said. Gawain grabbed the sword's hilt and grunted as he tried to lift it. It was very heavy, having a large blade of gold and all.
He's stealin' da zord!" the Skeith cried. "Stealin' it! How dare ya!"
Zaffy kicked him in the nose and he tumbled to the ground. However, his cries had alerted the other guards, and they all charged at Gawain.
No!" Zaffy shouted, and snatched up the sword in one swift movement. The guards gasped and backed up as Zaffy raised the sword over her head.
It won't work!" a brown Eyrie said. "That sword won't like you! It only likes Meridellians!"
You lie," Zaffy chuckled.
I don't," the brown Eyrie growled.
Zaffy raised the sword over her head, and the blade hummed and glowed white.
See? It's gonna exploooode!" the Eyrie said, diving under a pile of gold. Even the other guards backed up even further. Zaffy brought the sword down.
BOOOOOOOM!
There was a flash of light and a noise like 200 pounds of explosives going off. The guards screamed, and Zaffy could feel the energy the sword was giving off rattling her veins. Gawain was screeching like an insane Palmplat.
W-w-what's happen-i-ing!" Zaffy said, her teeth rattling in her skull.
SKREEEEE-BOOOOOOOM!
There was one final explosion, and the light died down. Zaffy tumbled out of the air and landed, hard, on the gold below. The guards were lying around the room, dazed and covered in ash. One's helmet had been incinerated clean off.
That was...weird," Zaffy said. She looked at the sword in her claws. The blade had stopped glowing white, but it was still gleaming and a bit hard to look at.
How...dare...you..." the brown Eyrie moaned. He had been blasted right out from under the gold and was laying face-down on the pedestal where the sword had once sat. He too was covered in ash. He looked up and shook his head. "Thief! Thief! She's stealing the sword!"
Zaffy grabbed Gawain, tucked the sword in her belt, and spread her wings. As the guards began to shake themselves off like so many zombies rising from dirt, Zaffy was flying up to the passage. She scurried faster than a Spyrabor in water through the passage, out from beneath the statue on the roof, and into the moonlight night. She could still hear the howls of the guards behind her as the statue sealed the passage and she flew back towards the Darigan Citadel.
