{:|: Intro :|:}
A sleek figure moved through the forest at tremendous speed, buckskin and crimson the only colors able to be seen. As the creature slowed to a canter, its features beame clear. Beautiful crimson locks fell long as a mane and forelock, having a reddish sheen in the sunset. Her slim body was buckskin, though a little different; it was more like the color of a deer's pelt. On her cantering legs, white stockings adorned her from knee and down. Her hooves glimmered a bright gold, making no sound as they beat in rhythm on the desert sand, as she had now entered the desert. A perfectly straight horn potruded from her forhead, the same bright gold as her hooves. The mare's eyes were also gold, though they seemed... different. It was as if they held a deep secret in their shining golden depths, something that had been kept secret for many centuries. On the mare's hindquarters, a strange marking of crimson color showed. An odd swirl curled part around a circle, and below it an arrow-shaped symbol. A lionlike tail was slightly above the ground, the base the same color as her pelt. The fur was the same shade of crimson as her mane and forelock. White spread from the mare's throat to her underbelly, giving her further deer characteristics. She halted, raising her nose. She scented another nearby. The mare tossed her head to the heavens, crimson locks flying, and released a melodic song so beautiful it echoed like the music of angels!
{:|: Past :|:}
It was a time of juicy, salty grass and peace that I was born. My mother thought I was absolutely adorable and beautiful, but my father and most of the herd thought otherwise. What Uni didn't have any wings? And what kind of tail was that? They thought I was an ugly, deformed creature that wouldn't sruvive well with my differences. Then, I looked a bit different. I had a red coat, a darker red mane and fur on my tail, and I had white diamonds on my shoulders and rump, and two stockings. I was not looking as I did now.
But the other foals, except one, didn't care about what my father or the rest of the herd thought. They took me in as one of their friends without a glance at my wingless back or my lionlike tail! The other one, you ask? He was Farlou, and he treated me like I was nothing. He hated me as much as you can imagine. He even tried to assassinate me a few times, and thanks to my mother and my friends I'm still here!
One night in the forest, a few yards from the herd, my friends and I were huddled around a fire. I found out this trick, that if I put my hooves in a strange liquid that came from the fire, the substance dried and hardened on my hooves. After it had hardened into a smooth layer, I could gallop and slide around as if I were on ice! When I was showing my friends this fun trick, we heard a rustle in the bushes. Turning, we watched Farlou emerge, a smirk on his lips.
I was now a little annoyed. "What do you want, Farlou?" I snarled, leaping to my hooves in case he was going to try to kill me again. That horrible smirk still set on his muzzle, spoke, "Why, Zaerii, why are you being so mean? I just can't believe that you were teaching witchcraft to these poor little foals, and then planning to burn the whole herdlands to the ground--" "NO! You know I'm not doing that!" I interrupted angrily. His smirk broadened. "But do the other herd members know?"
I gasped, suddenly realizing what Farlou was going to do. Faster than lightning, he grasped a stick in his mouth and stuck one end in the fire. I leapt towards him, trying to prevent him from doing what I feared, but he yanked the burning stick out of the fire and thrust it into a bush. It was swallowed in flame in a matter of seconds, and Farlou spun and galloped wildly to the lead. "Wake the whole herd, quickly, for Zaerii has set the herdlands on fire on purpse to destroy us all!" he said, sounding like he was frantic.
The lead's eyes burned with a hatred for me, and he bugled. The herd was up on their hooves in no time at all, and the lead's burning gaze swerved to my poor mother. He bared his teeth and galloped toward her. Bewildered, she turned and tried to escape, but he was faster than her. He tore off her horn and tossed it aside. He reared and his sharp hooves hit the bloody hole where my mother's horn had been. My mother fell, dead, the second the lead's hooves made their fatal blow to her head.
Many tears ran down my cheeks as I watched the herd fade into the hills, and my mother dead. I felt heat behind me, and I turned in alarm. The fire was barely inches away from me! But I realized that my friends must have been burned alive... I whinnied in saddness as I spun and galloped as fast as I could, away from the image of my dead mother and my friends' dooms.
I ran without slowing or tiring for days, never stopping to eat, drink, sleep, talk, or anything. I kept my eyes forward, not sure where I would go. I just couldn't bear the loss of my only friends and family that thought good of me, and now they were all gone. I was a lost mare, with no one out there who thought I was worthy of existing.
Knowing this, I became angry. For months I thought of all the things that was hurtful to me, for some reason trying to make myself hateful. My friends didn't stand up for me against Farlou when he spoke those words to me before the fire. They didn't even try to get him away from the fire when he had the stick in his mouth like I did! They didn't even move, they didn't drive him away like they always had! They were burned alive, and good riddance! And that Farlou... I swore to myself at that moment I would hunt him down and kill him.
He wasn't that hard to find, which was odd. I traveled around a market and saw him nuzzling a mare. I shook my head; what was that foolish mare thinking, choosing Farlou as a mate? How desperate she must be. I snorted and as they were rounding a corner, I blocked them. Farlou looked up, and immediately a smirk crossed his lips. "Is it Zaerii? What a lovely surprise! I thought you died in the fire, all those days ago," he said sarcastically. The mare beside him stared between me and Farlou, looking a little bewildered.
I snorted again. "Well I didn't, and death approaches you quicker than you think," I replied coldly, and whipped around. My hindlegs flashed out, smashing Farlou's muzzle. He recoiled, blood dripping from the sides of his mouth and nose. I smirked. "You're not winning this battle." He bared his teeth and reared, preparing to crash on me. I dodged it easily, and countered with a swift nip on his ear. He neighed angrily and charged, hurling himself into me. I was thrown to the side, and I felt a nip on my hindquarters. I turned, and realized his mate was helping him to destroy me.
I smirked again and kicked out, hitting her chest and neck hard and she backed. She began to cough, and stared at me hatefully. I stared at her with more intensity, but saw movement out of the corner of my eye. I ducked just in time to dodge a kick from Farlou. He reared, and I saw this as a perfect oppertunity to finish him. I charged into him with more power and he crashed into the ground on his back, and I knew this was my chance. I quickly reared as high as I could go, and brought my hooves down with more power than I had ever felt before. My hooves pierced into his stomach and through his ribs, spine, and any organs that stood in the way.
Farlou was dead.
I stepped away and rolled his body away. I raised my brows in surprise as I saw two holes in the concrete, where my hooves had broken through. I jerked my head toward a sobbing sound, where Farlou's mate was crying. I snorted. She should be away with too. I galloped toward her, teeth bared, and bent my head. I drove my horn into her chest and it went right through her heart. I backed, removing my horn, and blood poured out. She collapsed, dead like her stupid mate. A crowd had gathered, and they all looked at me in surprise. I snorted and reared to one side, and they all backed away frantically.
I smirked and turned, walking right into another side. They all parted to let me through, and I held my head high in triumph. I had beaten Farlou and his foolish mate, and now I was feared. I suddenly liked the feeling of being feared, and killing made me feel triumphant when I won. So that was when I decided that I would kill anyone who stood in my path.
For a very long while I killed any who dared speak against me. I did nothing but hate, and hate helped me grow into a very fearsome being. I looked innocent enough, fooling every equine to think I was nice. And I trapped them. They would begin to speak to me, and I would respond politely. Then, as they told their name, I would say how stupid that name was. Of course, they would defend themselves, and now angry I would kill them. Such a delightfully easy task to perform.
Of course, as I went on I became more and more... guilty. I didn't have my heart in it. I wasn't happy. It wasn't at all getting the satisfied feeling I used to have. So I killed less and less until I didn't do it at all, but I felt so lonely. One night, while I

Pip: Oh Pip, he's such a funny stallion! I've known him for a while, he's flirty and flatters me. He's kind and a daredevil, and he's always making me blush! He's handsome too, and seems to dislike his brother a bit. I wonder why, but I've never asked him. I've met his brother too, and he's much more layed back but not any less kind. I don't see how they could dislike each other. *shrugs* Oh well, maybe it's just sibling rivalry for nothing in particular ;P But now he's got THIRD brother he doesn't get along with, but his first is better now.

Driffen: DRIFFEN! I met him recently, but he's so kind and handsome! He's another who likes to flatter me, and at least he said something that no one else has said before! He likes my voice ;) He hasn't heard me sing yet, in time I will... but... if he now knows my past, and amazingly he hasn't run from me. Of course he paused when I finished, anyone would, but he stayed! And now... I am testing his gift of speed against mine ;P At least he thinks my powers are cool though too :D
Amun: This Egyptian stallion also flirted with me in my herd, the Shadowed Spirits. He got protective when I went over to Pip when Pip looked lonely, and even tried to get me to go away from Pipper to go with him. It was kind of funny how stallions act when there's a mare both of them slightly like. In the end I invited Pipper to come along, but he declined. I insisted, then he came, and the three of us went on a walk in the forest. The two kept shooting each other dirty look, and here I am trying to hold back laughter. Now I don't know where Amun went, he's gone. I miss him, and now Pipper is gone too...
Lunaii: The Shadowed Spirits was completely barren of all its herd members when I came back, no one was there except one mare, Lunaii. She whinnied, I whinnied back, and from there we talked together for a while to wonder where everyone had gone. Then a friend of Lunaii's came and eventually other Unis came filtering in. She's very shy and quiet, yet so graceful. Kinda reminds me a little of myself even. AND she can turn into an actual peophin, and has her own lake in the SS territory she swims in! She can also become a constellation that's connected, so she actually looks like a mare made of stars!
