to The Order
As a child, you always knew you were different. You could see strange things, things that no one else seemed to be able to see. You felt as if something was watching you, something not
quite human. Asking your parents was no good, as they would just give you a worried look, and brush it off.
But now, in a world full of colliding forces, you have received an invitation. A simple slip of parchment with the letters T and O stamped in the middle of it. Wondering where it came from, you try to think, you realize, you've seen this before, as if in a dream long long ago.
Tossing and turning as you attempt to sleep that night, you hear a knock at your bedroom door. You cautiously stand up and reach for the handle and turn the knob.
Two young people stand at the door, both girls; they beckon you to follow them down the stairs and out the garden door. You cautiously proceed not knowing what to expect. What you see amazes you beyond your wildest imagination; the world outside of your garden door is not in fact your garden, but a vast marble hall, filled with people in strange outfits, they all seem to be staring at you as you walk down the middle of the hall. You think that following these ladies might not have been a good idea, but now it's far too late to turn back. At the end of the hall, you see a long table, sitting at it is four other young ladies, they all turn and echo in unison,

History
of The Order
The Order has been under way for quite some time. After the loss of an amazing guild, a couple members decided it was time for a fresh start. Harry Potter was the answer. After a long time of planning, we finally decided to have our grand opening on Monday, January 7th. So now we are welcoming you to come in and live the magic!
Originally, The Order actually consisted of three different guilds, which are also known as schools. The three schools are Beauxbatons Academy, Hogwarts School, and Durmstrang Institute. We sadly had to change the set up - but of course, it was for the best, because we are much more active with this set-up. Being under one roof, has also united each of the schools! We can't wait to start planning activities and events as well as keeping all of our pages more up to date. So overall, this was the best thing for the guild, even if we miss having our old set up! So how are we set up now you ask? Well not too differently, read on...
About
The Order
Well, we are all in one guild now, for starters. Still, each student is working to earn galleons for his or her house within the separate schools. We offer many ways to earn galleons, take a peek on the left to see our write up. Within your school, students get to be sorted into a house, where they are earning galleons. A list of each student in each house is written out on each school's separate webbie. At the end of February (end of Term 2), we are considering having students work to earn galleons for their schools instead of houses - as a warning!
One of the best parts of The Order is how interactive we are. Members are encouraged to participate as much as they like and are welcome to run anything around the guild. If you have an idea and come to the owners with it, we want to encourage you to act on creating this idea and we love to help you make your idea come to life. The members is why this guild is as great as it is - of course in our opinion!
Rules
Which must be followed
1. Semi-literate speech on the boards It is difficult for any of us to understand what you are saying if you are constantly using modern "cH4t Sp3aK". Please speak in an appropriate and comprehendible manner. We really encourage you to be as literate as possible, though. So try to capitalize your letters as well as use punctuation. We do not have a post length, though!
2. No spamming on the boards. This is pretty self-explanatory, we do not need to see the same post several times in a row. Remember that the school does not base rank on the number of posts, but rather the amount of participation from students.
3. Respect your peers. This is essential to all students enjoying their time at Hogwarts - treat others as you would like to be treated. Welcome new students around you and be kind to one another. We all want to be friends, right? So let's remember that neopets and this guild is all for fun, so it's best if we are as sweet as possible!
4. Participate as often as you can. This is the only way to earn Galleons for your House and ultimately be a representative in the Triwizard Tournament. Participation allows one to be an active member of the school and show that they are hard-working, dedicated students. We do understand that real life comes first though!
Galleons
There are so many ways to earn Galleons in The Order! You can earn Galleons inside your school as well as in the tri-guild wide community. It's always a little fun to have a fight to the finish. The students in the winning house of each of the schools gets to participate in some pretty spectacular 1NP auctions.. it's worth the win.
Galleons instead of House Points
Yes, we do things a little different here in The Order. And why not mix things up by having galleons instead of house points? Galleons are large, gold coins, that are used as currency in the Harry Potter series. So instead of earning house points for your house, you are earning Galleons for your house!
Earning Galleons in your school
Generally, each activity is worth 5Gs a piece.
Earning Galleons guild-wide
Running a class here at The Order earns you 20 galleons a month while participating in a class earns you up to 10 galleons per lesson. We offer most all classes already, which is awesome!
Hosting a club or page earns you 15 galleons each month. Participating in a club will vary, depending on the club. We've got tons to offer, so check them out.
Advertising is a little confusing right now. As we have transitioned from a guild that was using the advertising board as the main chatting method, this has not been decided. However, we do have an advertising club that guarantees galleons for you!
We have a Diagon Alley and a Hogsmeade, so hosting a shop in either of these places earns you sickles - not galleons. If you are interested in learning about sickles, head over to Diagon Alley to learn more.
Making a font will earn you 2 galleons for the code and a screenshot. Making a banner earns you 5 galleons. Making a layout or a userlookup earns you 8 galleons.
Writing for the Daily Prophet earns you anywhere from 2 to 10 galleons, depending on what you are submitting. Writing a review for Witch Weekly earns you 15 galleons.
Otherwise, we have other ways around the guild for you to earn galleons, so no worries - there is TONS to do!
The Trophy Room
You walk into a brightly lit room off of the third floor. Suddenly you realize where you are at. The Trophy Room! Awards, trophies, cups, plates, shields, statues, and medals are kept in crystal glass displays in this room. You can also find a list of Head Boys and Head Girls here.
