The Dark Chamber
It was day time in the Lost Desert. And as the name suggested, you are in fact, lost. It all started when you left the
shrine after visiting it for the day. Your pets were hungry so you thought you'd stop by Sakhmet's Food Stall for some food, until you saw something weird in the sand. Foot steps left behind. That's normal, sure, but these foot steps looked like it belonged to a Zafara. But the shapes slowly started to turn into Scorchio foot steps, then Ruki, then Lupe, then Gelert, then Lenny, and so on. There was no other foot steps next to them, so it could only mean one being walking. Curious, you decided to follow it. Oh, your pets? You figured you'll feed them omellete later. The prints in the sand lead down the curving lake of the desert, past the few plants, past the Tug-o-War, and past the small bridge and Swarm. You really had no idea where you were going, but you did know you were heading South. If you get lost, you can just head up North again. After all, you were being witty for once and brought a compass with you.
It felt like forever, following these tracks. As you got nearer and nearer to what ever it is, the tracks seemed to have gone from Neopet species to petpets. Now why would it do that? You'll have to remember to ask why later.
More time past. When the foot steps seem to have stopped suddenly, you finally decided to give up. You figured you'd follow the trail back from where you came from, but by now, they were gone. Wiped out completely by a strong gust of wind. You took out your compass to see where North was, but wait... I think it's broken. The needle seems to be pointing a different way. You walked around in circles, shaking the small trinket in hopes of it working again. But no matter where you are, it keeps pointing to a small flat rock you were near to. Giving in, you stepped on the rock, the needle stopped moving instantly. Now what, there's a raging sandstorm coming up soon and you're completely lost.

A voice? It sounded very faint.
Hello?! Is anyone out there?! You called out. No response.
I said HELLO?!?Are you scared?Why would I be?Well, you ARE talking to something, which you don't know what it is exactly.True. But why would I be scared of that?Hmm... You felt a small quake. The rock you were standing on was shaking. Suddenly, it went down like an elevator, bringing you along with it. After several flights, the rock crashed into a very dark room. When you got up, the only light source was the small hole waaaay above your head with a few particles of sand pouring in. The opening closed, and as if it was a switch, a red-ish light filled the room. The light was coming from many stained glass windows of the large chamber, it was very pretty looking. It'd be a lot prettier if these glowing red eyes weren't staring at you from a distance. The figure leapt closer, right in front of you were the light was bright enough to see what that thing was.
You could've sworn it was a Hissi at first, but right before your very eyes, you can see it morphing. The creature now looked like some kind of red lutari wearing a Winter Blechy Hat. Although, that hat was missing an eye, and the puff ball at the end was replaced with a sharp blade. It also wore golden bangles on both its arms and one as a collar. The lutari itself, however, had white hair that went down to its shoulders. Its eyes were completely shaded in red with piercing gold pupils and a strange black marking under its left eye. It have visible fangs, a dark crimson pelt, white muzzle and under belly that goes to the tip of its tail. Most lutaris would have a dark shade of its original color splashed about on its arms, legs, and tail. But this one, it was a dark grey color. Its ears didn't look like lutari ears, it looked more like a Zafara's, although you'd think it was a Blumaroo's because of the markings. Red stripes were on its back and went down to its tail like a skunk pets'. Very dark red curling wings and black spikes were also on its back.
Hello. It spoke. Surprisingly, this weird beast's voice sounded pretty young and childish.
H-Hello... You said, stepping back a bit. Whatever it was, it was smiling back at you. But when you smiled back, it frowned.
So, is this what I'm supposed to be scared of?Well you're no fun! I should throw you back in that sand storm! It whined and flailed. This made you laugh a bit, but then you saw it was serious.
Please don't, I'll be scared if you want me to be! You pleaded. It raised a brow at you.

Before you could say anything else, you were shoved right on out of the room. The next thing you know, you were right in front of the Sakhmet Food Stall, Kreludar was hanging in the Neopian Sky. You scrambled onto your feet and looked behind you. The exit was no more than shattered glass on the sandy ground.
