The night is wild the jungle, teaming with the ever-present sounds of it's nocturnal captures, screaming in defiance of the heat and looming morning. As you stumble through the thick brush, obviously unaware of how dense an attraction you decided to place your camping site was, you can't help but notice the strange – almost omnipresent glimmering mist that hovers so delicately and invitingly around you. Squinting your eyes, you realize it's subtle shifts in colour and form, and are curious enough to follow it.

You try to keep track of your turns, but the efforts are fruitless and you've already lost yourself, so you focus more intently on the holder of your attention. It whirls around the air-creating a cool and refreshing mist as it weaves pleasant images around you; pulls you into childhood memories and teenage brilliance.

So enthralled, it takes a sudden clearing of the small clouds to snap you back into reality and realize you had landed yourself into a large ring of…mushrooms. Their sizes and shades varied greatly, and some even glowed, but your main focus was on the figure standing with such granduer in the middle.

It's glassy red eyes welcomed you as the hissi stood tall and proud, moving it's large hands around to envelope you in a new, even more brilliant mist - a tapestry of dreams. It did nothing but nod knowingly in your direction, before lulling you into a beautiful reverie.

This was when I had the idea to make a character that was based off of the Caterpillar from the wonderful tale of Alice in Wonderland/Through the Looking Glass. Though it's hard for me to choose favorites, the caterpillar could probably top my chart, not to mention the idea opened up so many possibilities.

Of course, the idea has been altered and censored to be neopets-suitable, and, in the end, I have a design and story that would fit perfectly with Kohrumei!!
