About Nortji

Name: Nortji (sometimes shortened to Nori)
Pronunciation: Nort-jee (Nor-ee)
Age: Eighteen
Birthplace: On the south coast of Brightvale
Occupation: Pirate

Personality: To those who only take Nori at surface depth, she appears to be a tough, boisterous Gnorbu, who prefers to communicate with silent looks than with words. However, when she is befriended, she turns out to be fiercely loyal, confident and articulate. She defends her friends to the last, is always there for them, and will never betray those she truly loves. She follows her heart and her strong sense of morality, choosing to do what she thinks is right, rather than what is socially acceptable. She is honest yet personable, and is never afraid to speak her mind.

Hobbies: After leaving her family, Nortji discovered that she had a strong skill in fencing and fighting, often battling confidently, and finding comfort in it when little else could be found. She quietly prides herself on her skill at both that and at orienteering, with a natural sense of direction and logical mind she finds she can do it rather well. She also enjoys simpler pleasures that she learned from her upbringing, including sewing new clothes and making herb-based cures (a fact that never goes un-teased onboard the ship!).

Plans

Below is my customisation idea for the wonderful Nortji, based around her love of exploring and the pirate tendancy to go searching for treasure. I believe that the Macarite Cave background makes it look like this.

I have also decided that Nortji should, obviously, have a pirate-y petpet to go on many adventures with her. I have settled on a Pirate Carmariller.

Nayala, her loyal partner flutters around her head and stands guard when Nortji is on missions. Although Nayala has taken some knocks for Nortji, she has a chunk missing from her right wing, but she still remains fiercly loyal to her best friend.

About me

I believe it is essential to the application process for you to learn a little about the person who would be adopting your pet, therefore, I hope this section tells you enough to help you make your decision. Obviously, I do not want to make this too long, for a number of reasons; firstly because Nortji is the main focus of this application, not me, and secondly because I find it very hard to talk about myself in these sections.

My name is Hatty, I'm 18 and I live in England. I've been playing Neopets for many years now, and have enjoyed every minute of it. Each one of my pets is loved extremely, and each one is cherished as much as the other, regardless of colour, species or which account they are on. On neo, I often find myself playing games and Habitarium and chatting on the Neoboards, especially the Pound Chat. My current Neo-goal is to save for a draik morphing potion, which I am currently 2/3 of the way to, and to also finish shifting all my pets around! :)

Off Neo, I spend a lot of time chatting to my friends, reading, taking long walks with my Black Lab and exploring new places. I am hoping to go to university in the autumn, to study history, although I shall not be giving up Neo when I do! :) I try and be helpful and kind wherever I can, and am always up for chatting!

I wish to thank you for the opportunity to apply for the wonderful Nortji, and to assure you that if you do choose me as Nortji's new owner, I would love her dearly. However, I trust that whoever is lucky enough to have her as an addition to their family will be perfect! :)

FAQ

Why do I want to adopt Nortji? Because she is just so perfect. A pirate Gnorbu has for a long time been a dream pet of mine, and I would be absolutely delighted to be given a chance to adopt her. I love everything about them, from their wooden legs to the beads in their mane. I just think they are so artistically drawn and so beautiful!

Where will Nortji live? Unfortunately, due to the fact that I am currently attempting to rearrange all of my accounts at the moment, Nortij will be staying for a while on my active side account, sandosa, whilst I sort out my account. I hope that she can one day move onto my main, however, my side account is regularly visited and she would not be forgotten about, regardless of where she stays.

Do I have a side account? Yes, I have 3 currently. They are sandosa, williamea and lunashi (which is currently only being used to store pets). I am currently attempting to move around my accounts a bit, and this is the reason why they all look slightly less polished than I would have liked you to see them, however, I hope you forgive me.

Will I retrade Nortji? No. Why would I have need to? Nortji is a dream pet of mine, and she would stay with me forever.

Why don't I have a lot of trophies? Although I love the games on Neopets, I find I never manage to achieve enough points to earn trophies - there are so many more talented neopians out there - however, I always try, and someday I shall gain one! :)

Have I ever been frozen? Yes, unfortunately, my very first account was broken into and frozen. However, I have never been frozen from disobeying the Neopets rules.

Will I change Nortji's gender? Yes, as you have probably been able to tell from my application so far, I would be changing Nortji's gender from Male to Female. This is because the story I have chosen works around a female character; if you do not like this decision, I fully understand.
