Hm. Draiks are one of the most rare - not to mention costly - species in all of Neopia. They are difficult to obtain, making them the second most rare species in the Neopet world, beaten only by the Krawk.
Draiks come in many different colours.

As I said before, Draiks are one of the most difficult species to obtain.
When Draiks were first announced, a large 'batch' of them were released via Create A Pet. Now, it is no longer possible to create a Draik there, unless you have an extreme case of 'Too Much Luck.

There ARE several ways to get a Draik, just none too easy - or cheap.
The way that most know of for creating a Draik is the 'old-fashioned' way.

Draik Eggs.
These are expensive and rare, bought from the Meridell Food Shoppe. They restock there for around 100,000 neopoints, but are gone in a flash. They sell for around 3 - 4 million on the Trading Post, depending on which type of egg you wish to buy. There are five different Draik Eggs, ranging from the cheapest - and most sought after by greedy Kadoaties - the Blue Draik Egg, to the most expensive - the Darigan Draik Egg.

Potions.
Another way that most of us have heard of to own a Draik is buying a Morphing or Transmogrification Potion. These will turn your Neopet into a Draik, but a Draik created through a potion doesn't count on the Neopet Popularity Table! Unfair, yes? These Potions range in price from 2.5 million to over 5 million neopoints. All the Draik Morphing/Transmogrification Potions available are:

Adoption.
If you manage to find a Draik up for adoption, you should throw yourself against a wall and praise the NeoGods. Seriously. You should.
If you want to adopt a Draik, maybe try looking at adoption sites, or even browsing the boards. If you happen to see a board, and someone is pounding a Draik, scamper on over to the Pound and hope for the best. I can't really help you much on this aspect. Again, this is the rarest way to get a Draik. If you have really nice friends like I do, it could happen. :)
