A thief sits and starts to sigh,
With Mance Rayder flying nearby
Ygritte is her name they say,
She's a thief and she likes it that way
It would be wise to hide your jewels,
If you don't, you're nothing but fools
She comes for it just after dark,
When the lupes start to howl and bark
Now don't be fooled by her beauty and grace,
In a deck of cards she's the ace
Now my little rhyme is done,
And now it's time to go out and have fun
But don't forget Ygritte the thief,
For if she finds your jewelry stash,
She'll bring you nothing but grief
Poem By: Sunlitina
ou find yourself in the bowels of Kelpie's home. It's
damp and strangely quiet. You hear the clink of metal on metal, yet you trudge on into the
darkness, ignoring the voice in your head nagging you to leave. Tunnel after tunnel,
hallway after hallway; it all leads you further into darkness. Your only guide is the
clinkling sound you hear. Suddenly you see a strange golden glow at the end of a passage.
You rush towards it, the sound of metal on metal growing ever louder. A large wooden door
stands between you and the glow. You slowly push it open to reveal a large, shining,
awe-inspiring mass of trasure. Gems, jewels, magical paint brushes and other rare neopian
artifacts are within your grip. Who amassed all this treasure?
A brown zafara in a red cloak, carrying a dagger comes near you cautiously. Who sent you, guest? You gulp and tell her no one sent you. Very well. I suggest you tell no one of this place if you leave too.
Did she say "if"?
I suppose you came to learn about me as did the other passersby who
happened to stumble here. Much to my dismay, word is spreading about Ygritte the Thief...I
shall tell you myself who I am before you hear it from someone else...
I am Ygritte, Zafara Thief Extraordinaire. Even Fyora the faerie queen herself hasn't been
able to stop my thievery...as you can tell by my treasure. I suppose you're wondering why
I'm living here with Kelpie if I have all
this wealth. I'll tell you.
I didn't come to live here because she adopted me, I tell you truly. You see, I'm a bit of a wildling. As I recall Kelpie, was just walking around Neopia central when she felt a tug at her purse, a strong tug. As a matter of fact, she was tugged to the ground! As she lay there, stars circling her head, she looked up just in time to see a cloaked brown zafara running off with her money! Unfortunately for myself, Kelpie was travelling with her wretched gelert that day, who went off after me in a gelert flash. I found myself tackled and struggling. Thankfully, Kelpie held no ill against me, although I can hardly understand why. She merely called off the gelert, who is none other than ChibiLoyali, and stared at me for a while. Kepie can have quite an intimidating stare at times...I immediately dusted myself off, stood up and apologized. Something in her made me twinge with fear...that if I didn't do more than apologize that I'd come to regret it. Rather than lose sleep over it I vowed I would spend as much time as Kelpie deemed necessary working of the debt to her. Kelpie nodded and led me to my new home. That was 68177 hours ago. Surely, I've worked it out by now...but I choose to stay. Only Kelpie has given me this amount of space to store my wealth. If you figured I would stop stealing you were sadly mistaken. No...no one can stop me from that. But I can make them think I've quit...

A thief must be strong, especially so that someone else's gelert doesn't come running after me. I train daily.

Haishoi.
This is a kyrii after my own heart. I always know I belonged with the likes on thieving pirates. We have a great respect for one another. Not in her grandest day has she ever seen the mass of treasure I have. She had best not think to steal it either... |

Lumidi.
I have spent very little time with her as I have yet to develop my sea legs. However, i can only imagine the amounts of treasure hiding under the sea that she could illuminate for me. Maraqua has yet to see a thief the likes of me. |

Rakinn.
*smirks* He insists he was a great pirate in his day, but I have yet to believe it. He's too soft-hearted and too in love with his grog to have ever had the love for gold, paintbrushes, and other valuables that I have. Maybe he is telling the truth, but I'd have to see proof. |

Really...who keeps friends with a thief?!

A crokabek, dark as night lands on Ygritte's shoulder. Surely you've noticed my Mance. Strong he is; that beak once ripped off a finger of one of my pursuers. Such a shame he wasn't around when I was being chased by that pesky gelert...He came to me one night as I sat alone at the foot of the hidden tower, wondering what I should steal next. He flew up to the window and brought me a faerie queen doll...missing an eye. I knew he was my type after that. He's the only man in my life...as it should be."

One day that Fyora will give me a trophy for stealing the most from her hidden tower... *pats Mance's head*

Well, I suppose I will let you out this time. Only tell no one of what you saw and heard. Things may come in the darkness...wearing black feathers or a red cloak.
