Quick TipsYou can skip the ball introduction animation by hitting the spacebar. Just be ready right away or your opponent will start playing without you :)
Scoring TipsScoring with the Snow Ball The Snow Ball moves slowly across the ground. You need to get close to the goal and shoot away from the goalie to score. I usually head toward one corner of the goal. When I hit the angle in the chalk line, I shoot toward the lower corner (notice my mouse position) and shoot it by the goalie before they can react.
Scoring with the Fire Ball The Fire Ball moves very quickly and is the easiest ball to score with. You still have to shoot away from the goalie, but you can score from much farther away than the Snow Ball. I have scored from mid-field with the Fire Ball before. I should put up a video of a long Fire Ball shot sometime :) Keep in mind that the Fire Ball can shift sides of the field very quickly, so you should be on your toes if your opponent gets a hold of it.
Scoring with the Faerie Ball The Faerie Ball is a tricky one to master. It moves in an arcing pattern and can easily get blocked if you don't know how to use it. A good defense will easily stop the Faerie Ball in most cases, but on a breakaway, it can be quite easy to score. Start in the middle of the field and when you reach the point in the chalk, shoot directly at the goalie and the Faerie Ball will arc right around them into the net.
Scoring with the Mutant Ball The Mutant Ball moves very erractically when shot. It will sometimes move in a straight line and sometimes move like the Faerie Ball or somewhere in between. As such, you can use any of the tactics for the other balls, but I prefer the Snow Ball pattern as it is the easiest to recover from if you do miss the shot or it gets blocked.
TacticsCross Pass Sometimes it is more fun and more effective to use two players to score. A basic cross pass works by getting a forward on one side of the net (above or below) and then passing the ball across the front of the net. When your forward receives the pass shoot it into the net before the goalie can recover. This tactic works best with the Fire Ball or Snow Ball because they move in straight lines, but you can accomplish a good cross pass with all 4 balls.
Wall Pass A Wall pass can be set up in a variety of ways. It is similar to the cross pass where you use quick passes and shots to get the ball in the net. It can be very fun and produce some cool looking results. Long wall passes can be hard to execute with anything slower than the Fire Ball, but can be done with the Snow Ball, or with some luck, the Mutant Ball or Faerie Ball.
Self Wall Pass This is probably more fun and flashy than useful. Your basic wall pass, but done with only one player :)
Defense Don't forget to play defense too. You can see that I get too many of my players beyond mid-field and out of position and when the Fire Ball is stolen, I can't get back in time and my opponent scores on me.
Fun ShotsMy longest direct shot with the Faerie Ball
Probably the longest shot ever made :)
