The warm desert wind blows around you, the vast amount of sand ahead of you is silent. The sun is blazing in the East; All you can hear is the sound of your own breathing, the soft shifting of the sand underfoot and a strange chirping sound suddenly from behind you.
Turning, you see a sandy-brown wolf sitting in front of you. It's pure black eyes stare back at you, it seems to be looking into your soul, like it's reading your thoughts.
The wolf stands up, red bracelets rattling against each other, making the beautiful chirping noise.
It pads slowly towards you and grins slightly, showing it's sharp pointed teeth.
I seem to have a visitor." It says to itself.
You step back in suprise, a talking wolf? You must be hallucinating from the heat- maybe you should try and find some water soon.
It laughs at you. "I am real- don't be afraid." It cocks it's head to one side slightly. "You want water?" It pauses and looks you up and down. "Follow me. You better hurry though, the sun will be setting shortly." The wolf turns to go, it's tail flicking to the side strangly- it almost looks like it's made of sand.
You pause, not sure if you should follow this wolf. It carries on walking. "I'm not going to wait for you, so you better hurry if you want to leave this place alive." Gulping, you walk along side it. What is this thing?
The wolf laughs. "I'm nobody of your concern, just somebody that wants to help you." It's black eyes turn to look at you, they seem full of sadness. It speeds up. "We better hurry if you want to get somewhere by nightfall- from the looks of you, I would guess you wouldn't be able to survive the night...!
You frown at the wolf and it laughs. "Don't worry, I'm only making conversation. No need to be angry." He looks ahead again and nods to a large sandy bank in the distance. "Think you'll manage to get there?" You nod, rather taken a back by this whole situation. It smiles. "Good." He bows his head slightly. "I'm Yachitry, the protector of this desert."
So, you want to know about my past, eh? Well, it's not that interesting- I would think you'll find it rather dull.
