A mare with a silvery coat lay under a tree,raindrops falling on her black mane.She sighed for a moment,then looked out into the forest,and saw no one there.The mare longed to be with another,but had no one.She had a very hard life.She saw a flashback.

In her mind,she could remember when she was just a filly. She was a pink filly, with snow white hair and magenta hooves. The day she was born was a happy day, but the next day, it became the worst day of her life. A storm came, and it cursed her with a grey coat, black hair, and dark grey hooves. Her parents were ashamed. So they did not show her to anyone, for they thought that those kind of unicorns were ugly. A month later, they took her to their leader, and he banished her from their herd. Faeries took care of her when she was younger. Then, she saw herself mourning for her deceased family in the cold rain,who had just died in a terrible slaughter of the unicorns from the humans.She remembered the days when her mother used to show her how to run gracefully through the fields.Or when the time when her father taught her how to glide through the air when she needed to.The mare sobbed,leaving blue tear markings all over her silvery coat.The mare walked from the forest and near the glistening lake.She waded into it and relaxed for a moment so she could regain happiness.But after a while of being in there,she still could not be happy.The mare sobbed even more.

The mare returned watching the raindrops fall from the gray sky,crying because her family had died in such weather.She could never be happy,because she could never return to happiness.Not unless someone broke the spell of tears upon her.

The mare walked out from under the tree into the rain.She lifted her head to the sky and whinnied sadly.Her eyes sadly looked into a puddle of water,seeing herself.She hit the water with her hoof,making the image in it look blurry. "I am a monster," she said. "I can never love." She cried to herself and lay on the ground,letting herself be hit with the drops of rain.

The next day,she woke up and saw a handsome unicorn in front of her. She slightly smiled at him and said, "Hello there.I am Xyriie,which means Depression. What are you doing here?" The unicorn bowed politely and replied, "I saw your beautiful face from afar and wanted to know who it was.It turns out that you're prettier than what I saw from the mountain I was standing on." Xyriie fully smiled and stood up. She nuzzled him and said, "You are truly the one I am looking for." "You are too,lovely blossom.By the way,I am Keson,which means Question.You are the only one for me," said Keson,smiling at her. His shadowy coat ruffled in the breeze. Xyriie had finally found true love. She hadn't had a young love in such a long time. She smiled to herself and nuzzled him gently.

One fine day,when Xyriie and Keson were walking near a waterfall,they talked to each other and smiled at each other.What they didn't know was that there was an evil cougar who hated love,and he was right behind them in the bushes. The cougar leaped from the bushes and pushed Keson into the water,drowning him in it. Xyriie fell to the ground and cried like never before. She screamed and wailed,cried and sobbed. Xyriie went into the forest and ran back to her favorite tree to cry.

A day after he was gone,a little dog-like animal came up to her and started snuggling her. Xyriie never had this much attention,only from Keson she would get it from. She took a liking to the little dog-like animal. She named it Xeiki and started to love it like a brother. Xeiki loved her back. They had many fun adventures,and he made her smile.

But one day,when Xeiki and Xyriie were in the forest near the trees,a lion came out of the bushes and started to attack Xyriie. But the brave little dog-like animal came and protected her. But the lion swallowed him up instead. Xyriie cried, "No! Xeiki!" and started to wail loudly. Her sobbing caused the lion to vanish into the forest. "I'll never be happy again," vowed Xyriie,crying under a tree. "I will meet you all again...in death.
