Goodbye
The sand caught between her claws and stuck at the base of her feathers but Xploded's task was not yet complete. She had been working all through the morning and the sand storm that came with it to finish the mining field that her mentor had sent her to complete. It was her final test in this field of work and she did not want to disapoint him. Her claws scraped again at the plotted point in her mind and she swiftly dug a crevice with a protective wall so that the shifting sands around her would not cover up her work in another tidal front. Then from all the mayhem came her sense of utter quiet. Xpo no longer noticed anything around her except for what she now grasped in her left claw. The tiny bomb was so preciouse, so gentle, that if not treated corectly would gladly take the life of it's handler and half of the suounding area. "There, there" she whispered t it gently as she set it down in it's new sandy home. "You will get to break free soon little one... very soon..." And with that Xpo lifted her claw and sent the former protecive wall crashing down onto th newly made trap. "We will all be free soon... we will all..." Xpo whispered to the skies as she flew off to her next point.
Welcome stranger to the realm of Xploded! Just one thing that you will need to know: In this petpage I often refer to Xploded as Xpo, it's jsut the nickname that popped into my head for her XD Anyways I hope that you enjoy all that I have prepared and are prepared to let yourself relax and your frantic typing fingers grow cold as I, Autumn, welcome you to my tale of Xploded!
Everyone has a tale to be told; a chapter in their lives that goes beyond the sub-conscious borders of imagination. The only thing is that sometimes that tale is never meant to be told but as we all know life never seems to follow the path we wish for it to take. That would be far too easy…
Morning in the desert is a frivolous thing, what with all the indifference to the rest of the day; hot and dry with the sun always above. But in the amber eyes of one sandy resident it is the most beautiful sight one can ever wish to witness. The only thing is that you really have to be looking for it before you notice the differed beauty. The way the sun slowly rises from behind the field of dunes ands ignites each miniscule grain of sand is like witnessing a rainbow of fire cross the open expanse towards you. Then when one takes the moment to look past the rising sun to the gazes to the opposite skyward expanse you can see night fall away and the two worlds collide in a gradient of color that none the less are truly different as night and day. Xploded often finds herself up in the stretch of time before the eruption of day and in this time of perpetual beauty through her eyes her thoughts linger and tend to wonder as to why she is currently alone in the sands of time.
For you see Xploded or Xpo as she is most commonly referred to, didn't start her bit in life in the area which she currently resides. No, she came from the Nirakna tribe found in the most southern regions of the desert. Normally the coloration on the Nirakna kind is quite ordinary so as to blend into the sandy "wasteland" as the elders refer to it that is the desert. These colors often include the basics of a brown to light tan base and then a pure one color or gradient of two colors from the warm yet dull side of the color spectrum. So a common combination would be brown with orange and a pale yellow. Then there was Xploded; who was an abnormality in every range. Her base coloring was a perfectly sandy brown but her gradient was like no other ever seen. Xpo had a gradient that flowed from a blazing yellow to green to almost neon blue. It was unheard of to EVER have blue as a coloration on a Nirakna clan mate and instantly marked Xpo for a "different" life. Needless to say Xpo left the clan at a very early age… in fact she was only six years of age when she left her old life behind her. It was the way that she was treated that caused her absence in the normal path of her supposed life. It was the eyes boring into her back, pinpricking each feather in pain; it was the way that sound ceased and silence hung in the air making everything seem slow motion as her presence became known to those around her. Heck! At times Xpo had desperately wished that they would have at least hushed their tones to talk behind her back of her in disapproving tongues into each others ears… just something besides the deathly silence! So without anyone knowing Xpo slowly decided to slip away from existence in every day life and after a year of work she left her former people for good, without even her very own family noticing her absence. She had quite frankly just vanished off the face of the earth…
And so her thoughts drifted off to many topics each morning but it had seemed that lately she was puzzling over what she had seen in the desert on her trek away from what little life she did have with the Niraknas that was bothering her. She just could not grasp what had happened at the edge of that desert storm and being the curious being she was she knew that her next flight would certainly take her their again. The only thing was; what would happen once she reached that place?...

Feathers: Yellow-Green-Blue - group of three from head, and two smaller groups of three bordering tail.
Xpo is currently the apprentice to the Lost Desert's weapon master. She lives a quaint little life full of explosions, gun-powder, and scarabs... lots of scarabs. Okay so maybe her life isn't exactly quaint, but then again which of our lives is?... :P Xpo comes from a tribe of desert dwelling birds known as the Nirakna; who most commonly dwell in homes buried in the multiple sand dunes. It is common for them to have a main sandy or brown coloring and then a series of colors throughout the rest of their bodies but Xpo's are a little "different". In most cases the pteris have little to no extra color and if they do those colors mainly consist of reds, oranges, and sometimes purples, and in most cases only two colors are present. So then there is Xpo. Who has three colors that consist of yellow, green, and blue. She also has more color than many of the others who call themselves "colorful" and is considered to be an oddity among the Nirakna, but none the less she is treated equally. But she can't help but feel different...

Currently Xploded is training under the mastery of the Desert Arms Lupe in Qasala. He teaches her each day about the various weaponry that Xpo has to handle and right now is teaching her the finer mechanics of bombs construction. Xpo is fully trained in the art of sword-fighting, archery, and on-sand mining which consist of the layout to mine fields. Her master says that he is proud of her but Xpo feels that there is some doubt in his mind as to her skills and it constantly pushes her forewords toward higher achievement. Her dream is to one day become a master to a student of her own and teach her the great but terrible wonders of desert ammunition.
This section is told in the eyes of Xploded to show you what she thinks of her possible new family XD
Kazzika: Kazika or Kazzi as she likes to be called is a darigan draik from the Dunadras clan of the Egyptian Desert. Autumn recently became her featured artist (owner) after many months spent on her application. Kazzi is the first pet who has come to live in Autumn's studio (account) and I can see how much Kazzi means to her, the look in her eyes when she is drawing her is just so passionate... Kazzi has the ability to "whisper" to the sand and thus create stardust for the new budding stars. She was assigned this task and now must live forever. She is the keeper of the stars.
BabyBoyow: Boyow is Autumn's little baby darling and he certainly is different. He stands about 4 feet tall and unlike other baby kougras is a dusky blue/grey/brown with blue stripes and little stars all over his body. He is always wearing his starry bandana around his neck and loves to fly about with his set of translucent wings. All the pictures Autumn does of him are always either very happy or very thoughtful. For although he is the most bubbly little thing he is also very content and will often go and sit atop large cliffs and stare out at the moon.
Pellaegia: Pella is very different from any of the others who reside in Autumn's studio...for she is only there briefly in between her runs through the sky from Atlantis to Mt. Olympus. For you see she is the messenger of the gods from sea to sky, literally. She is turquoise blue, almost a sky blue and along the ridges of her fins and tail are feathers! She can be quite secluded which may explain why Autumn currently only has a few sketches of her but when she does sit and pose she is the most beautiful creature I have ever seen.
Chyaza: Chya was newly added to Autumn's family and she is quite surprisingly a surfing island xweetok! She is rarely indoors, but unlike Pella, she isn't out on duty but rather at the beach. The companion that never leaves her side is the little water sprite, former bottled faerie, Zenna. They have become inseparable and both share the love of the ocean and of course it's waves. All of the images that I have seen of Chya are either out at the beach or in the water itself.
Akyiio: Kiio is the newest addition to Autumn's studio and is very different indeed. For you see he also resides in the tides of the desert but have a more peculiar purpose their then Kazzi... Kiio has four arrow markings on his body that point in all four basic directions (forwards, backwards, up, down) and they serve as a compass for him once he is assigned an item to retrieve. So he is like a compass of sorts to any item and has been deemed this in the same way Kazzi was assigned her task. His portraits have not yet begun to be started yet because of his item filled task but Autumn is determined to get some wonderful piece of him to give him at least some small break.
Usually picking a petpet is quite easy for me, but in Xploded's case it was a little trickier. But in the end I decided to give her a Lyins. And like all the other petpets I give to my characters I had to give Xpo's little Piya a custom look ^^ But currently I don't have an actual drawing but just this adjusted picture which is fine for now:

The eyes are the greatest tool one can hold
But society forces us to only really look when told
We are told to close our minds to what we can truly see
But one should know that we should just let life be
As we all look with blinded eyes
There is one who tries to bring back the element of surprise
A splash of color in a world of forced grey
Xploded looks past just an ordinary day
And while we all sit with our blinders on
She forces her way against having true sight be gone
With the ability to see beauty in a simplistic rain drop
And the joy in flying past each and every mountain top
Her goal is simple and is set for the break of day
She just wants to relieve us of this blinded way
To give us the power to see once more
To open up this susposed permanently closed door
As the sun does crest a single sand dune
The world turns to listen to her tune
As she tells us all of the beauty in day
And lets us take these blinders away
And as if a veil has been lifted from out eyes
We turn and face a beautiful surprise
A difference in the world unseen no more
Until Xploded opened for us that no longer closed door
There" she sighed as she rested in the sky and reviewed her handiwork. The desert was as simple as always with there being no sign of the silent threats lurking beneath the oasis of sand. But Xpo knew exactly where each and every "monster" lay in waiting and she was proud that she had accomplished such a large task. "Now watch him look at it with disgust" she scoffed in thought of her master's plausible reaction. "Whatever, I did my best...and if I pass this then I can finally go off on my own... finally..." and with that the faerie pteri turned her tail to the mine field and headed off into the sun that was beginning to slowly descend to the depth of the dunes.
Well I hope that you enjoyed all that I laid out for you on this page for Xploded and have fulfilled my goal of presenting you with the vision that is Xpo for myself. Make sure to keep coming back for new pieces! But for now: I hope that you had a blast! XD
