Dive in...

The punch was too strong. Wrinkling your nose, you gently pour it back in to the bowl from which it came, hoping no one would see. Waltzing away from the food and drink table, you stroll across the grand ballroom of the swanky cruise ship, The Jubilee (how sappy), that you spontaneously took. Hey, you had the money. Why not? You adjust your white polo collar and scan the room with your eyes. Wallflowers sprouting. Old people trying to disco. A bored couple staring at the organic salad they decided to split. Boring. In a huff, you make your way to the satin chairs lining the room. The grand ballroom is at the very bottom of the boat, so that the passengers can enjoy a nice view of all the little fishies swimming by the small circular windows. It's not that the boat is the biggest one on the Mystery Island sea, it's just very decked out. The walls were painted a lovely pale pink, like a ballet shoe. Chandeliers dangling from the ceiling, lacy white tablecloths spreading their wings topped with vases of peonies, you minding your own business and--
BAM.
--A shocking slam against the boat causes everyone to stumble. Someones kacheek lands face first in the fancy carrot cake. What was going on? You look around nervously, realizing you fell and caught yourself on your elbows. From above the room, a static-y announcement sounds from the captain of the Jubilee. The panic from everyone in the boat made it difficult to hear, but next thing you know there's a giant octopus stuck on the side of Jubilee, taking up three of the ballroom's windows. Another clash-- this time, a table falls on top of you. Ow, that hurt your shoulder pretty bad.. but you decide its better to try and breathe steady under here where its safe. A third sound and the whole boat rocks. Lights flicker, a chandelier falls and sparks on the floor. People scream and dash out of the way. From where you can see, no one got hurt, but everyone's taking a run for the main deck. Scrambling from under the table, you dash to the closest staircase and push through the heavy crowd. Finally, on deck, the captain's voice comes on again and urges the passengers to take safety boats off the ship. Easier said then done, you think, since people begin dog piling with their pets on to lifeguards and mini row boats.
BAM.
And you watch water rise up from the ocean. It's dark out now, the moon in sight, the waves dancing wildly under it. Splash splash splash- The roller coaster of the Jubilee tips and a large wave of salt water washes you off the face of the earth.

You open your eyes.
You survived.
Is it possible? You stand up to dust yourself off and cough out the water in your stomach. Squinting, you find that it's daylight now. You washed up on shore. Tropical trees stand behind you, shady shades call your name. No buildings in sight, no people, no pets...

Ruh-oh.
You're not in Kansas anymore, Toto.

Deciding you should go look for food and maybe find out where you are / who resides this place, (I mean, after all, isn't every place in Neopia occupied by someone?), you struggle for one of those deliciously ripe looking coconuts hanging over your head. Whoever first invented coconuts must have meant for it to be a sick joke. There's no way you'll reach those things. After unsuccessfully attacking this tree a few times in a very sophisticated matter, you sit under it and rest your head against its slim trunk. Closing your eyes and resting... Its peaceful out here...
Bmf.
Now what? Another octopus?
You lift your head up to find a coconut laying right before your hungry, greedy eyes. Alas! It's even cracked for you, too. You look up, hoping to find some majestic angel, but instead find a… well, a bunch of leaves. Maybe you were just lucky. After all, don't they just fall down when they're ready naturally? You turn your attention back towards your sweet tasty prize until you here rustling back up in the palm tree. You glance up again, suspiciously. Nothing. The rustling stopped. Scowling, you pick up the coconut and start slurping, making sure none hits the sand. Are the sides edible, too? Wow, you didn't notice how starving you were til now.
Rustles again. You stop mid-sip and roll your head upwards accusingly, angrily. It had to be a goblin that took advantage of your hunger and poisoned your food. But you find that you are mistaken-- A sweet pair of sea foam green eyes stare right down back at you- almost through you, you notice. You nearly drop your giant nut and sort of choke on the tropical milk.
(Aha! I caught you!), you shout, but they just keep looking at you, blinking maybe twice.
(C'mon, play fair, I found you. I won't bite.) Its eyes sort of look off to the right as if considering, and then they disappear.
A muted thump in the sand on your left. A beautiful creature standing before your pitiful eyes in the shade of another palm tree. Her legs cross each other in a very feminine way and she studies you shyly. But what... what kind of pet is she? You examine her coat: tan- sandy, really, with hair covering her eye on your left. Her tail is poofy and her fur is long. She has interesting white markings in various places, significantly next to her exposed sea glass eye. A pink union of fresh flowers circle her neck with a golden 'x' hanging like a charm from it. In her ear is a sort of rosy lily. Anyways, you don't know if she's a wocky or an aisha, considering she has those long antenna things hanging around. You ask her her name, which is Xollys ( how very interesting ), which you first mistook for 'Dollies.' You inquire where you two might be.

I saw your ship wreck,' she admits quietly, sitting down at the same spot from where she landed. She must feel safe over there. At least she was kind enough to fetch that coconut for you. She apparently had a most similar situation to you and found this island. She claimed it as hers, as you can see her paw prints most every where around here. She informs you gently that your boat was saved right after you were washed off. Apparently everyone was okay except you.
Does this spell "BAD LUCK" with a ladder standing over it? Or was it fate?

Story

Salt water gurgled in my mouth. The ocean suffocated me. Wrapped me in a dark, eternal blanket. Wrapped its silky fingers around all my limbs. It drained down my throat. My ears. My nose. My veins. My soul. My name. My being. Everything. The black water was everywhere. It was all I could think about. It was my only memory, my only purpose. Dissolve. Dissolve. My eyes were screaming with pain as I struggled to see, struggled to breathe air as I was meant to.
I awoke to a warm beach shore... As beautiful as it was, I coughed so hard that I swore my lungs would burst. The salt in my fur was making it feel stiff and bristly.
I last remember the boys on the cruise making fun of how I only ate the pickles and cheese from my casserole.
I remember a thunder shrouding jolt and the lights over head shut off. An electric blue thunderbolt from the -blocked-
My eyes peeled open and I rolled over on to my belly, the ground warm beneath me...
Quickly noticing the sand-paper similarities, I sat up as fast as I could and stared at the sand.

How did I get here?
I recollected my thoughts as fast as I possibly could. Boat... shipwreck...
My owner-- where was my owner?
I jumped to my feet. The sun was high in the air. Being a new and normal Aisha at that time, I was lost and dazed. Starting to walk, I tripped over my feet constantly. My fur collected the dust and sand and soon I fell back to my knees and cried. How could I survive out here? I was stranded on this small island whose sand was so pure that it squeaked when you walked on it. Desperation was in my hands. The water splashed as I ran out in to it. It was beautiful and clear, just like freshly melted snow. The ocean was shallow all around me for as far as I could see... And I could see way out there. I squinted until I made out Krawk Island. My shoulders turned and I was looking straight at the big rock head on Mystery Island. I was done for, I thought.
After a few days of living on coconut milk and leafy fruit trees found here on my island, I noticed how dusty I was. I waded in to the water and it didn't even come off...
