This page lists answers to common Neopets questions. This page has two purposes--to answer your own frequently-asked questions and to provide an easy copy-and-paste format so you can answer other people who ask them.
All answers fit in a Board post. Also, the period at the end of a final link is there so that your siggy will still show up.
Feel free to use these to answer questions. You don't need to ask my permission; this is your permission.

Quests
Brain Tree
To answer the Brain Tree, you MUST do 2 Esophagor quests in the Haunted Woods. It's the *only* way; the answers are random AND the game is rigged.

You can use the Shop Wizard for the items. There is no penalty for not finishing the Quest, if the items are too expensive (2,000 NPs limit combined).

Timed Quests

Remember to copy the exact name and use the "identical to my phrase" option.

Rainbow Fountain
The Rainbow Fountain in Faerieland only works after you finish a Quest for the Fountain Faerie. She gives Quests in random events, just like the other faeries. After you finish her quest, she lets you paint your active pet almost any color.
Fountain Faerie colors
The Fountain Faerie lets you paint your active pet any color EXCEPT Royal, MSP, Robot, Ice, Sponge, and Usuki/Quiguki.
Overpriced Shops as Quests Help
WARNING to all Questers!!!
Some people will claim to have your item in their Shop or will say they'll put it in their Shop or Trades. BE AWARE that many of the people are overcharging you--you can get the item much cheaper!
Ask for a comparative Shop Wizard lookup--the Helpers will be glad to do it. We'll even compete with each other to find the cheapest price :P

Sick Pets
The Healing Springs in Faerieland is free:

Go every 30 minutes until she heals your pet.
Pets never get sicker or die.
Training
You can train a pet at the
Mystery Island Academy or the Krawk Island Academy.
For the Mystery Island Academy,
you need codestones and you cannot withdraw.
You MUST give the Master the exact codestone he wants.
For the Krawk Island Academy,
you need dubloons and you can withdraw.
You MUST give the Captain the exact duboon he wants.
Increasing Max HP
To increase the max HP of your pet,
train in Endurance.
You can also finish random Dark Faerie quests
or, sometimes, Kitchen Quests.
How to get a Draik
To get a Draik, you need a
Draik Egg, Draik Transmogrification Potion, or Draik Morphing Potion.
Check the Trading Post and Auctions.
Draik Eggs also are rarely stocked in the Meridell Food Shop (a couple each month).

How to get a Krawk
To get a Krawk, you need a
Krawk petpet, Krawk Transmogrification Potion, or Krawk Morphing Potion.

Petpets and Petpetpets
Petpet won't attach
Pets won't accept petpets
that have the same number of letters in their item name
as the pet has in its name.
Change the language of the site until the petpet item has a different number of letters and try again.
Leveling up Petpets
Petpets can be leveled up in the Petpet Arena in Meridell:

Attaching Petpetpets
Be sure the pet with the petpet that you want
the petpetpet to attach to is your active pet.
Put the petpetpet in your inventory.
Refresh your inventory until the petpetpet attaches.
This might take a long time. |

Petpet Lab Ray
To use the Petpet Lab Ray, you first need all 9 pieces of
the ***Secret Laboratory Map***
You MUST have the Secret Lab Map before you can use
the Petpet Lab Map.
The Secret Lab Maps costs about 1 million NPs.
Then go to Games - Puzzles - Treasure Maps - Petpet.
The "Petpet" link will only appear once you've turned in the Secret Lab Map. |

Count von Roo is awake from midnight to 1 a.m., NST.
You can play a dice game against him. If you win, you pet gains 1 or more levels. If you lose, you pet loses 1 or more levels.

She'll give you Tokens in exchange,

The Super Shop Wizard returns the same shops
as the regular Wizard.
Refresh the Shop Wizard to find the lowest price.
The SSW will also not look up items such as paint brushes,
nerkmids, morphing potions, and Secret Lab pieces.
If you want SSW lookups, you can pay for Premium yourself. |
